Avatar f tn Have you tried posting in the 18-34 pregnancy forum, maybe someone there will be able to help since they have a broader number of women in that forum. I had no idea that varicose veins could get so bad nor that they could be in the nether regions. Pretty much that is what a hemeroid is so, I guess it would make sense that you could get one there too. Be sure to discuss with your OB, I'm sure things will work out so that the best option is chosen for both you and baby.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with vulva varicose veins I cannot cope with this pain any longer and only 26 weeks gone anyone else going through this I am in tears nearly every day and have a five year old to look after and I'm alone
Avatar f tn Its normal for your vaginal area to get swollen down there during the end of pregnancy. It could have been caused by irritation from the salt in the water.
Avatar f tn I am lucky that so far I don't have any varicose veins in my legs or anything. I also don't have any bloating or water issues.... ...but what I do notice is that on my belly and breast my veins are much more noticeable. In my hands and feet, my veins are EVEN MORE noticeable and bulge out. (in a normal way though - just obvious I have more blood running through my veins.
Avatar m tn You said "a vein popped out on my vagina." I was taking this to mean "in" the vagina (since by definition, all of the vagina is "in" -- the external parts in that locale are the labia and the vulva). But if you meant "on the vulva" (like, you can see it just by looking and don't have to sit with a pocket mirror looking up and in), it occurred to me that men get something called a varicocele, which is a varicose vein in their scrotum.
Avatar f tn Varicose veins are painful, I would mention it to your doc as they will be able to tell the difference between them and blood clots, I'm nlt sure that blood clots are usually visible, but you are def better to get them checked out. There are treatments for varicose veins in injection form which really hell, but I'm not sure if that could be done while you are pregmant. Your doc will be able to advise best.
1936698 tn?1333915193 I thought it might because of poor circulation, but I am also having terrible pains in the surrounding areas of my vulva and labia. My doctor checked it out when I went last Monday and said everything looked okay, and that it could get worse, but I am unsure of the purple/red color was there or not. Does anyone know what can cause it or how to make it better?
1907180 tn?1329450777 The unfortunate reality is that most pregnant women will have some degree of failure in their leg veins at least during the pregnancy. This is due to multiple factors that all produce challenges. The volume of circulating blood increases substantially. Hormones that allow the uterus to stretch and expand also allow leg veins to do the same, making the valves in these vessels incompetent.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know if varicose veins will diminish after pregnancy especially in genitals?
10678677 tn?1413254266 But my OB said that he has never seen a varicose vein on the vulva not go away after pregnancy.
Avatar f tn The doctor said that it's normal during pregnancy. It isn't varicose veins, it's just more blood flowing down there.
Avatar f tn I have never got them in pregnancy but my friend is a week behind me on her pregnancy and baby number 5 and she gets them very bad. Especially in the vagina area! She wears compression stockings and underwear.
1840402 tn?1355432565 hi all.. im 18+2days and one of my veins in my legs is noticeable and warm to touch, do you think its veroise vains or something worse, i suffer from anxiety and every little thing is panicking me!!
Avatar f tn Has anyone gotten them before? I'm preg with #6 and I think I have signs of them. I'm concerned because on my mother's side the women have them severely (to the point my sister almost lost a leg in pregnancy).
155701 tn?1230047101 When I lean against something (like the bathroom vanity), it feels like a big bruise. These are not spider veins or varicose. They look like normal veins except that they're very noticable and only on the upper region of my right thigh. I wouldn't be worried about them except for the fact that they feel like a bruise. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn Im 24, in my third pregnancy, and have begun getting the "spider veins" on my thighs since my first pregnancy. They are quite unsightly and feel that my legs dont fit my age!! Any hope to get rid of these? Who would I speak with about this?
Avatar f tn Turns out I got a huge varicose vein on my vulva. Extremely uncomfortable. It feels like you have a huge cut on your vag and stings like crazy. My ob said he's never seen one on the vulva never not go away after pregnancy-so that's good! If you have a varicose vein try to stay off of your feet as much as possible and don't sit with your legs crossed bc it cuts circulation off to that vein which can cause it to swell even more. But if not a vein-definitely try lube!
Avatar n tn Read How to get pregnant before you decide to remove the varicose veins in your husband, he argues it can be potentially deadly for male fertility
Avatar n tn This year in May I stopped taking the birth control pills and a couple months later I noticed on my legs bulging varicose veins. The onset seemed to be quite sudden. Could the fact that I stopped taking the birth control pills caused the sudden onset of the varicose veins?
Avatar f tn Oh Im so sorry to say this but unless you have them removed with a laser the swelling will go down after delivery but they will never go away. I got them with my 3rd pregnancy and with my fourth pregnancy they werent that bad and now they hurt and are like bulging out of my skin. I only have them on my right leg but theyre embarrasing.
Avatar f tn I'm 32 weeks and recently noticed my vagina is very swollen, especially on one side. From what I've been reading (I have an appointment with my OB early next week) I have vulvar varicose veins. Does anyone else have this or have had them? I'm afraid they will get worse and won't go away.
Avatar n tn Has anyone else suffered from vaginal varicose veins this is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm 27 weeks.
