Avatar f tn What is bothering me most is that now I have both golfers and tennis elbow on BOTH elbows. I have tried altering the way that I do things however, with both arms being affected it is very difficult. I also have to work every day which entails quite a bit of computer work. I know that this doesn't help because of the repetitive movement, but short of quiting my job, I don't know what else to do.
Avatar n tn //www.mayoclinic.com/health/golfers-elbow/DS00713 'Olecranon bursitis is inflammation of the bursa overlying the olecranon process at the proximal aspect of the ulna. The bursa is located between the ulna and the skin at the posterior tip of the elbow.' You could read more about this at the following link - http://www.emedicine.com/pmr/TOPIC91.HTM It would be advisable to consult your doctor for a confirmed diagnosis and to plan the further management.
Avatar m tn same deal i am a guitarist and am going through the same thing. My Doc says its golfers elbow.. but i dont golf...
Avatar f tn -or whether the irritation/pain is more medial epicondylitis(golfers elbow) or even both. I am 46 yo female - and trying to decide if moving the ulnar nerve - decompression/transposition -surgery would benefit me or if it would not be helpful since the pain is in the upper inner arm too? possibly cortisone injection instead to try first? I am scheduled for an MRI tomorrow ---but scheduled for the surgery on 8/2/10 - -how do I know if the tendons are more the problem than the nerve?
Avatar m tn I have ongoing symptoms of both tennis and golfers elbow as well as a tight tricep with pain and tightness extending to my back. I was told by an osteopath that my spine was being pulled to one side due to the the tightness originating in the elbow. I've visited a physiotherapist as well as an osteopath to seek relief however this is just placing a band aid on the problem, with only temporary relief if anything being achieved.
Avatar m tn lymph up behind my ear, possible epitrochlear swelling (physio thinks prob golfers elbow). Ive had under arm pain (maybe from poking) and have a small lymph up in my neck (possibly from mumps) Im aware that viral illnesses can often leave the body with a harmless lymphandepothy that takes months to resolve. Correct? Ive been feeling a stabbing in my big toe recenty (not felt it today though) Been reassured I am certainly negative! Been getting along ok fine..
Avatar m tn I am seeking suggestions as to how to deal with continuing pain in my elbow and forearm. I sustained four fractures and a dislocated elbow on 7/11/10. Had surgery on 7/15/10 during which a plate, many screws and other assorted pieces of metal were inserted to piece the fractures and dislocated elbow back together. My latest x-ray last Monday seemed to indicate the fractures have healed. The surgeon says "you shouldn't be having pain" but I have pain. Any suggestions?

Avatar f tn I had arthroscopic shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago. This included acromioplasty, bursectomy, and excisional arthroplasty distal clavicle and calcification of rotator cuff. Since about a week post-op I've had some swelling and pain straightening my arm near my elbow on the inside of my arm. What could be causing this?
Avatar m tn Ten years ago I had a tennis elbow operation on the right arm, then golfers elbow on the right arm that board believes could be causing me nerve damage other than the original accident? Any advise or guidance would be gratefully recieved.
Avatar m tn Please correlate to the symptoms of tennis elbow. These are Pain over the outside of the elbow, Pain when lifting objects or Pain radiating down the forearm. MRI may show a tear. Apply ice or cold therapy to the elbow (15 mins up to six times a day). This will help reduce pain and inflammation if present. Rest is an extremely important component in the healing of this injury. Wear a brace or support to protect the tendon whilst healing and strengthening.
Avatar n tn They did x-rays and saw nothing wrong with my elbow, but they should have done a MRI or CT. They sent me to PT for the elbow pain and that made the pain worse it moved from just being the elbow to neck, shoulder, hand. Then I was diagnosed with the herniated disc. They sent me to there work comp surgeon who said the MRI means nothing and I am fine its just age. I read the MRI is said herniated disc at C3, C5 it didn't say degeneration or age related.
Avatar f tn I have tennis and golfers elbow from doing graphic design, too much intense drawing with the mouse. I had surgery in 2004 for the tennis elbow, got norco for a year for the pain, then they switched me to this tramadol and hydro 5 mgs. I quit the hydro with no problem and figured that this tramadol would be a piece of cake since it's supposed to be a non narcotic drug. My husband and I are on vacation. He works very hard and when vacation time comes, well lets say he really deserves it.
Avatar m tn Would he have learned anything in prison, something like rehabilitation? Probably not, but at least he would have been incarcerated and not able to be involved with this. Where do situations like this leave us? This kid didn't learn anything from his first scrape with the law. Chances are, this won't be his last either. He'll do some time for this, but when he gets out his gang will give him "props" and he will have garnered more respect from his fellow gang members.
Avatar n tn It feels as though the tendons on the inside of my elbow are going to tear or snap if I push it too hard. I havent gone to see a PT yet but I plan on it very soon. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. I had a metal plate put in my collarbone so I do not have full range of movement back yet.

Avatar n tn From the way your surgeon expressed his difficulty during the surgery, it is really possible that healing may really take some time. The best option is to have a rehabilitation program together with the pain medications. It is also important that you get tapered off from your steroid medications, since if given for a long period, can have more side effects including bone loss, water retention, and sometimes, cardiovascular complications. Regards and God bless.
Avatar f tn Tiger hit the fire hydrant then the tree, I guess he couldn't decide between the wood or the iron but in typical golfers fashion, he blamed his CADDY ha ha OK, one more. What club did Elin use to beat tiger???? A bitching wedge!!!!!
Avatar m tn Sent me to a physical rehabilitation dr. who looked over me for at least an hour. Neck x rays are very good as well. He finally found a handful of painful to the touch knots on my back trapezius muscle which he said is causing my shoulder pain. Could these knots do this??? I also have elbow pain on the same side (left). Should I continue to push more for lung cancer tests??? I am 37 years old. Smoked for a combined total of 7 years of my life.
Avatar n tn s like playing golf. Some very good golfers and tennis players use mutifocal (lineless) and other just use distance and learn to hit a somewhat out of focus ball.
