Common Questions and Answers about Ramelteon available in canada

rozerem

Avatar f tn Just go read all the comments of people that have taken the drug. That is all I'm going to say. It is not the fine print but the life print that matters to me.
Avatar f tn These drugs are believed to possess similar abuse potentials. Ramelteon (Rozerem), works differently in the body to treat insomnia. It is not considered to be a controlled substance. Zolpidem (Ambien) and eszopiclone (Lunesta) have been shown to reduce the time until sleep occurs and increase total sleep time. The sleep induced by them resembles natural sleep. Ramelteon (Rozerem) has shown to reduce the time until sleep occurs.
Avatar n tn But can find no source for it in the Philippines. Not in Cebu, not in Manila. I have a pharmacy in Canada that can provide it, but it has to be shipped in ice and can take 5 days to arrive. Fed Ex won't take it. Neither will UPS. Have to use Canada Post which "promises" 4 days. But if it gets stalled in customs, it will lose its potency. Can't find in Hong Kong or Singapore either. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
Avatar m tn I seen my cardiologist today and he found out Bystolic is not available here in canada. I guess it didn't pass our food and drug regulations, so now Im going to try almighty- (Acebutolol) 200mgs twice a day if that doesn't reduce pvc palpitations, bump it up to 400 mgs twice a day.. Im finally going to find out what all the hype is about and if this drug actually works that many people claim. I see the cardio dr.
366811 tn?1217422672 You may be aware that an extensive drug database is now online at Medhelp. You get to it simply by typing the name of the drug in the search box. Among the results, you'll see articles and information about the drug. Medhelp, however, thinks that might not be enough, because so many people continue to ask on the forums for info already in the database.
603015 tn?1329862973 In Canada Rozerem is called Ramelteon. That is probably the scientific name. I believe according to one post I saw melatonin is not available in Canada anymore because it is unsafe. Rozerem however, is an FDA approved medication. I was informed by my psychopharmocologist that Rozerem is completely non addictive and works differently from all other known sleep aides though you could look at the medication website and ask your own psychiatrist to confirm.

304573 tn?1345577338 Additionally, Vertex announced the completion of a New Drug Submission (NDS) to the Therapeutic Product Directorate (TPD) of Health Canada seeking approval for telaprevir in Canada. Telaprevir was also granted Priority Review in Canada, which allows for faster review for promising medicines that address life-threatening or severely debilitating conditions and for which there are few effective therapies already available.
Avatar m tn My understanding is that it is available outside the US (incl Canada) but only in the US for investigative purposes. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Hi. I'm in Canada and we have only 1 approved NDT option: Erfa's Thyroid. I'd like to try NP Throid but it's only available in the states. What kind of hoops do I need to jump thru to buy it in the US? (By that I mean not spending a fortune!). Thanks!

Avatar m tn t mean the test is available in general to people in Canada. Clinical trials operate under different parameters. I would imagine they are sending the specimens down to the U.S. for the results, along with the specimens for the PCR results as well.
Avatar n tn From doing research and reading several posts in this form my understanding is that Non Type Specific IgG blood testing that is available free in Canada would always turn out positive for me and thus it would be inaccurate in my case as far the the detection of Herpes antibodies is concerned because I have had chickenpox Do I need to go back and request a "Type Specific HSV 1 or HSV 2 (EIA) / igG (EIA)" test, which is the expensive test and is only done if the doctor recommends it?

1765684 tn?1333819168 There are no new treatments available on the market in the US or anywhere else. All new treatments will use peg-interferon and ribavirin in 2014 for genotype 1 patients. The only all oral treatment will be Gilead's treatment for genotypes 2 and 3 in early 2014. I am not exactly sure when it will be available in Canada. Probably later in 2014. All oral treatments for genotype 1s are expected to be available in 2015. Do you have to treat now? What stage is your liver disease?
Avatar m tn Yes I am in Toronto...I did my test at the DR's office, so it went to the LAB. The worst part is that it takes 2 weeks to get the results.
338489 tn?1215558109 Has anyone who lives in Canada been prescribed Sativex, the cannabis based med? My reading shows that it is really good for numbness. Of course, can't get it here in the states. Worried we might all become junkies!
1386048 tn?1281012333 her pain has never been under control and she has struggled with meds tremendously. is there any kind of chiari association in toronto or anywhere in canada that can help her? homecare? i live out of town and don't drive and have two small kids so can't be of much use to her, especially since her waking hours are usually my sleeping ones. she is such a tremendous, wonderful woman, and this disease has changed her entirely. any recommendations or advice greatly appreciated!
Avatar n tn Hello Amir, Thanks for the reply. MSP stated they generally won't cover an out of country procedure unless its not available in Canada. Is there any international medical insurance (ex. Lloyd's of London etc) that you recommend? Thanks again.
Avatar n tn Specifically, the delayed sleep phase syndrome. He prescribed Ramelteon to help her fall asleep at night. So far, the sleeping pill seems to work but in a subtle way. If she does not prep herself for sleep, sleep will not come. It has gotten so bad that she cannot remember the last time she slept and felt rested. There is a bit more to it then just a sleeping problem. I am not sure if this is related to it but she has laps of time where she can't remember specifically what she did.
Avatar m tn As far as I know, Ashwagandah doesn't have any side effects and doesn't cause weight gain. Some people take it to stop smoking. It is available in most health food stores. If you can't find it in Canada, you might try ordering from Amazon. Hope this info. was helpful. Wishing you a good outcome.
1493518 tn?1291783682 Hi all, I see a couple of you have mentioned fetal dopplers recently. I had no idea you could buy these for home use! What's your experience been like? Do you recommend them? If so, what brand? I'm particularily interested in hearing from those of you who have bought one in Canada. (Many vendors, including Amazon.com, do not ship electronics to Canadian addresses.) Thanks!
