Common Questions and Answers about Raltegravir slides

isentress

Avatar f tn At day 22, i took raltegravir from the box but im not sure whether i drank the pill with the water or not. Normally, I remember the pills that I drank through glass of water but i cannot remember this time whether i drank this pill with glass of water or not but i counted pills and i concluded that their numbers are as expected. I searched couple of papers and i concluded not to double the dose in the case of i used that pill.
Avatar f tn combining emtricitabine and tenofovir from the NRTI class, and raltegravir, from the integrase inhibitor class. There ARE alternative drugs available and possibly in Thailand they use lamivudine in place of raltegravir. I am definitely NOT a chemist, so I can't tell you for sure if the combination you're taking is appropriate. You should discuss your concerns with the doctor who prescribed PEP or a pharmacist/chemist. I wish you the best.
Avatar n tn I started PEP 2 hrs later (truvada, norvir, raltegravir, and preszita), my initial results are negative. I do not know the viral load of the patient yet, i can only pray that it is low. I know odds are 0.3% but that doesnt settle my fears, i am young and want to live a happy healthy life with KIDS! DR. please tell me if you have honstly heard of any cases like mine that have converted. I am in awe and feel like my life is totally over and ruined.
3127682 tn?1345498552 Unfortunately not. I'm sorry hon. There's a lot of possible risks that aren't worth it.
Avatar n tn I am currently taking truvada and isentress (raltegravir) is this enough I couldn't get my prescription for dolutegravir filled...is this pep enough?
Avatar f tn I believe we addressed the problem earlier about the fact that cancer was found in the biopsy slides and not in the exam post-op. Slides are made from each specimen submitted and labeled as they are made. I'm sure the slides are still available if you would like to have them read by another independant Lab. Regards ....
Avatar n tn m confused on the prescriptions given to me I have a 7 day dose of raltegravir and dolutegravir...thought it was supposed to be 28 days?
Avatar f tn I'm sure I could ask my doctor this but are you allowed to go down water slides while pregnant?
796579 tn?1266432024 I don't think they're safe at any point in pregnancy because you could injure yourself. In fact, for liability reasons, I don't think waterparks allow pregnant women on the slides or rides?
Avatar n tn 16 aspirate smear slides show varying degrees of cellularity, with many slides consisting predominantly of blood. A few slides have fragments of tissue and smears of tissue. Some fragments are thick and very difficult to evaluate. In the better spread areas, the cells show a population of round cells consistent with lymphocytes. There appear to be follicular cells intermixed in some areas, and the findings suggest Hashimotos thyroiditis.
Avatar n tn I just really want to get on the slides tho. Is that safe for the baby? Is it ok to get on the water slides n stuff?
Avatar m tn Hi!! I went to the doctor couple days ago, they took some analysis from penis with a kind of stick, after that touched ( not just one toch, but touched very strong) microscope glass slides, and after that with the same object again took analysis from penis and put on onother glass slide.( slides looked cleaned) I don't know if microscope glass slides was disinfected / sterilizated.
Avatar n tn I appreciate your blunt response. I was prescribed Truvada + raltegravir (PEP) but could not obtain raltegravir in Europe. To be fair, I called the US PEP hotline who told me that I could take Truvada as PEP as there are no studies that prove it’s ineffective, so I didn’t start it without advice from the US HIV experts. I agree my anxiety is an issue but I legitimately was seeking an answer.
Avatar f tn Im really not sure but when my sister was like 6 months pregnant she wasnt allowed on anything. I think most say that youre not allowed to ride pregnant on the sign before you enter.
561393 tn?1320962815 For my honeymoon me and my soon to be husband are taking older children (the baby is staying home with our parents) to a camp ground called bingemans (in Ontario) it has a water park with water slides and so on. I was wondering yes I know that their rules are if you are pregnant you can not go on the slides, but I am not showing enough to where someone would have the balls to ask if I was.
Avatar f tn I was about 18 weeks when we went to a waterpark and I was told no water slides, most water slides say not for pregnant women anyway.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if it is ok to go to a water park and get on the water slides. Oh yeah im 9 weeks today!
Avatar f tn no reason your can't do the slides- at 5 weeks it is very well protected. I wouldn't play tackle football, but i think a water slide will be fine. they don't say not to ride a motorcycle...
Avatar f tn I work in the theme park/water park industry. They do not recommend the rides and slides for pregnant women for safety purposes. I just went to one of the water parks with my family a couple of weeks ago, and I was over 35 weeks pregnant. I spent the day drifting down the lazy river and wading in the wave pool, while my husband and son did the slides. As much as I love the slides, I know it is not best for my baby and I rather enjoyed a nice relaxing day without standing in lines.

Avatar f tn Anyways I rushed to the hospital and was put on PEP at a maximum of 3 hours post exposure (truvada and raltegravir). I have taken the pills without missing any doses. At 3 weeks post exposure the lymph nodes in my neck swelled up slightly and I felt a tiny bit feverish. Checking my temperature rectally though revealed it was always in the 37s. These strange symptoms lasted only 2 days...could this be ARS?
Avatar f tn Lupo advised that I get the FNA slides reread by another cytologist. My question is should the slides still be at the path lab from a biopsy over a month ago? If so, can I personally request, directly to the current lab, that they be sent off for a second opinion or does the request have to be made by a physician? Has anyone dealt with this?
12492606 tn?1459874033 Lots of questions recently about PVCs. If you do a google search using "managing troublesome PVC", you will see a set of slides covering medication and ablation options. The doctor that put the slides together has done many of these procedures in the Salt Lake City region. One of the top centers in the USA.
Avatar n tn Hurthle cells are found in many benign situations. Would have the slides sent to an expert for another opinion before claiming this is "suspicious for Hurthle Neoplasm" Distinctly hot nodules are rarely cancer. Over time these may develop into hyperthyroidism ("toxic nodule") - so would also keep track of the TSH.
Avatar n tn ve had a lot of symptoms since I had the surgery. Make sure you have the slides read by a different pathologist at a different institution so that there is no bias. Go to a different surgeon at a comprehensive cancer center level. This doctor will request that you bring your slides to be reviewed by the pathologist at that institution. If the original pathology department gives you a hard time about getting your slides, remind them that they are your slides and you are entitled to them.
Avatar n tn Depends on who read the slides -- if it was not a university-based expert, then would send the slides to an expert for second opinion prior to committing to surgery. Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, U Penn (Dr. Baloch), U Florida (Dr. Massoll) are all options for a second opinion (among others). Most do very well with levothyroxine for post-operative hypothyroidism.
