At day 22, i took raltegravir from the box but im not sure whether i drank the pill with the water or not. Normally, I remember the pills that I drank through glass of water but i cannot remember this time whether i drank this pill with glass of water or not but i counted pills and i concluded that their numbers are as expected.
I searched couple of papers and i concluded not to double the dose in the case of i used that pill.
combining emtricitabine and tenofovir from the NRTI class, and raltegravir, from the integrase inhibitor class. There ARE alternative drugs available and possibly in Thailand they use lamivudine in place of raltegravir. I am definitely NOT a chemist, so I can't tell you for sure if the combination you're taking is appropriate. You should discuss your concerns with the doctor who prescribed PEP or a pharmacist/chemist. I wish you the best.
m confused on the prescriptions given to me I have a 7 day dose of raltegravir and dolutegravir...thought it was supposed to be 28 days?
Have you had antibody testing, c-peptide and insulin levels testing? This would be interesting to know, as possibly you are type 1 not type 2.
For insulin, bottom line is, you need to normalize blood sugars. When this cannot be done with oral meds and diet (seriously look into strict low carb eating if you are not already) and exercise (exercise decreases insulin resistance), and keeping weight on target, then it is time to add insulin.
I started PEP 2 hrs later (truvada, norvir, raltegravir, and preszita), my initial results are negative. I do not know the viral load of the patient yet, i can only pray that it is low. I know odds are 0.3% but that doesnt settle my fears, i am young and want to live a happy healthy life with KIDS! DR. please tell me if you have honstly heard of any cases like mine that have converted. I am in awe and feel like my life is totally over and ruined.
Well, you are using Prep incorrectly. By seeking it the way you did (anxiety provoked and not from actual need), you have put yourself in a situation. Prep is to be used AFTER a negative HIV test and is used as a prophylactic. NOT like PEP used after an exposure. You couldn't get PEP because you wouldn't meet the criteria of needing it. It's reserved ONLY for those who have had true risk (not a 'maybe' because they are anxious) with a KNOWN HIV POSITIVE individual.
I am currently taking truvada and isentress (raltegravir) is this enough I couldn't get my prescription for dolutegravir filled...is this pep enough?

Have you been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes? He diagnosed me as thyroid resistance. I have tried everything. I have put my stuff on the thyroid boards on facebook, looking for any help and any answer. I understand they usually treat this with high levels of t4 and t3 and usually a beta blocker. I really need some help. I dont know if you can steer me in the right direction. I feel awful and to get thru everyday is really hard. I am finding it harder and harder to wake up when I fall asleep.
Several months ago during some routine testing the doctor said my insulin level was too high. On the report it did not show outside the normal but she said the usually accepted cut off for insulin resistance was lower than my level. I was placed on 500mg metformin, told to cut out process/refined sugar, carbs, and be re-tested. This process has continued and now I am on 2000 mg of metformin and my levels are actually higher.
My question is this. What harm can result in not testing for resistance to ns3 ns5 after the holkira Pak failed and automatically assigning HARVONI as next course of treatment?

I started PEP (Truvada and ISENTRESS which is Raltegravir Potassium Tablets) in 47 hours. I also saw some case about PEP with blood transfusion. A 12 years old girl had a blood transfusion with hiv blood, she took PEP( tenofovir, emtricitabine, ritonavir-boosted darunavir (subsequently changed to lopinavir) and raltegravir) after 24 hours and had these PEP for three months. This girl also has cssr5 dna which is a dna that hard to infect hiv.
However, after 2013, three-drug regimen consisting of a nucleoside reverse-transcriptase inhibitor (NTRI), (tenofovir plus emtricitabine), along with a third drug, either an integrase strand transfer inhibitor, raltegravir or a boosted protease inhibitor, darunavir/ritonavir is recommended for PEP.
Ideally, NTRI is an important component of the regimen because if HIV infects a cell, it first attaches to and fuses with the host cell.
You can develop resistance to a STAT-C drug however. So when someone is choosing a trial with a STAT-C drug involved, you want to choose with care - the same will apply when undergoing treatment with a STAT-C drug when they finally get to market. You want a doctor/treatment team who understands the issues and you'll want to understand them yourself so that your first attempt with a STAT-C drug is as hopefully your last.
My doctor has recommended me for getting the Hep B Surface Antigen assay to test for Hep B. I've seen various sites online discussing what different combinations of results from different antibodies and antigens mean... But is an HBsAg test by itself considered valid?

Is there a test that can be done to determine whether or not you are insulin resistant? Can you have insulin resistance alone, and not have PCOS or diabetes or anything else?
What does Metformin do (is it to combat insulin resistance)? Once on Metformin, can you eventually stop taking it once your hormones and weight and everything are under control, or will your body go back to being out of whack?
