Pulmicort respules sinus rinse side effects

Common Questions and Answers about Pulmicort respules sinus rinse side effects

symbicort

Avatar m tn You need to add the Pulmicort Respules to your normal rinse kit, which includes the water and salt packet. I actually use two respules in each rinse that I do (up to three times a day at times). So yes, definitely dilute. It does not impact efficacy, that is how you're supposed to irrigate with Pulmacort. Best of luck!
Avatar n tn Since we know the medicine is safe for use in very young children from Pulmicort Respules™ (budesonide inhalation suspension) the most likely reason they chose 6 and above was because many children less than age 6 would not be able to use this delivery device effectively. The recommended dose for this age group is 180 mcg via Flexhaler twice daily, but up to 360 mcg twice daily is deemed acceptable.
5037123 tn?1362663006 One idea is to google - possible side effects of Advair. Possible side effects of Symbicort. See if one of the side effects of either Advair or Symbicort is pain between the shoulder blades. Based on what you find out, I would have a conversation with your doctor. Only a suggestion. I'm sure there are other asthma medications besides Advair and Symbicort which may be a better match for you. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Dr. insists side effects will go away tho and not to stop, so I am trying to give it a go! Ive only been on it 3 days and I am not loving it, But I did notice after I brushed this morning any white stuff was gone. (I allways brush my tounge!
746512 tn?1388807580 I was getting my peak flow readings up to 410-420 on advair with almost no symptoms in the morning. However due to the cost ($240 a month) I switched to using same dose of pulmicort. I was fine right after the switch, no drop in readings but then got a sinus infection that really bothered my chest and breathing for 6 days and since then I haven't been able to get my peak flow back to where it was.
746512 tn?1388807580 There is no guarantee that the nasal washes will provide an adequate sinus rinse. What you describe as “huge blogs of mucous” might be comprised of a fungus that is causing a condition called, allergic fungal sinusitis. The color is consistent with infection, either bacterial or fungal. You should ask your doctor to send some of these “blogs” to the laboratory for fungus culture and microscopic examination.
Avatar f tn Guess what - they work better than Advair, are cheaper (even though not covered by insurance) and have no side effects. I also take Zyrtec (an over-the-counter antihistamine) or Benadryl. Advair has a good PR program, with side effects given short shrift.
Avatar m tn I am at my wits end. In the last 15 years I have had 4 sinus surgeries. The first was to remove polyps and a deviated septum, the second was revision surgery to remove scar tissue and to drill windows in for drainage, the third was to remove a frontal sinus infection, and the fourth was to reduce the turbinate on the right side. I have continually recurring bouts of thickened mucous and inflammation that ends up in repeated infections.
Avatar n tn My brain is foggy, but that is how it was explained to me a long time ago by a very knowledgable R.N. Ocassionally there are side effects, and mixing the drugs does not hold well for figuring out the problem.
Avatar m tn What has been the most noticed side effects of Olysio/Sovaldi combo? Today is my first dose.
Avatar f tn Although the surgery was a success I remember the side effects were unpleasant which lasted for about two - three months. I am more interested in natural therapies to make this/these polyps disappear from my left nostril which is embarrassing and affects my life with recurring constant nasal dripping some days, headaches, sinuses, nasal pressure and sleepless nights increasing in the last six months to now about once every one or two weeks.
Avatar n tn The cough cleared up for the most part, as did the wheeze, but the meds had serious side effects – I stopped the Levaquin after 8 doses, because it was making me depressed and exhausted, which I still am. I am also still coughing a bit (producing a little mucus), and feel short of breath, but my lung function is at 92% and I have optimal peak flow (475). I’ve cut back my meds to 220mg flovent twice a day, and albuterol when necessary. 1.
746512 tn?1388807580 t want to take my rescue inhaler all the time because it gives me wicked muscle cramps and makes me loopy and really tired. I also take 400umg of pulmicort twice a day. Is there anything I should do; call my doctor, up my pulmicort dose or just wait the weather out? Thanks for the input.
Avatar f tn Hi huni2, I have asthma too. My doctor prescribed two types of inhalers for me. One of the medications is called Pulmicort. This medication I use once is the morning and once at night. The other medication is called Bricanyl Turburhaler. Some people also call it a " puffer" or an " inhaler". The Bricanyl I am instructed to use as needed, not every day. I can understand why you are hesitant or scared to take prednisone.
Avatar m tn As you can see by the hundreds of comments, the Flip-Turn Sinus Flush works extremely well for chronic bacterial infections of the upper sinuses, replacing antibiotics and surgery in most instances. For infections of the lower sinuses, I recommend the Neilmed Sinus Rinse--available at most pharmacies--as it requires less effort and risk.
Avatar n tn Thank goodness depression is not one of the side effects I have. The only time I have ever taken Benadryl was in the hospital prior to blood transfusions.
Avatar f tn The chronic cough and shortness of breath are common side effects of Inf/Riba. You might talk to your doctor about taking an antihistamine to reduce the post nasal drip and cough reflex. I take claritin which helps this. Also, I see you're able to post under your original name so good to see you got your posting problems worked out. http://hepatitiscnewdrugs.blogspot.com/2010/10/chronic-coughpegylated.
Avatar m tn Hi there, Does this drug albuterol have another name? I have a guide to drugs and supplements and I can't find this drug listed. I have asthma too. I use two different inhalers and have done for years. I use Pulmicort and Bricanyl. I use a Pulmicort inhaler twice a day, one puff in the morning and one puff in the evening before I go to sleep. I use the Bricanyl turbuhaler as needed. I'm sharing this with you because from time to time I do us the Bricanyl.
Avatar n tn i saw this thread yesterday and now for a day and a half i havent used it and i feel alot better. i just started using sinus rinse today but i dont know if that had something to do with it also. other than sinus rinse, can you all recommend some other type of medications that i can use instead of advair that gets rid of inflamation? im gonna call the pulmanologist in a couple days.
Avatar f tn He said that he must have gotten some sort of virus and it triggered his asthma. He told me to continue his Singulair, Pulmicort Respules one time a day, Xopenex in the nebulizer every four hours, and he prescribed Prednisone two times per day (dr. said to start the steroid only if the cough does not slow down). So on Wednesday morning, my son woke up at 6:30am coughing non-stop....coughing so much that he vomited!
Avatar n tn I sympathize for you.. I was looking to get more information myself because my son has been coughing all throughout the night again and I was amazed to find so many parents in the same situation, it was like reading about my own experiences with my son's asthma who is also 2 yrs old. Like you, my son apparantly isn't allergic to anything so I was given a treatment using QVAR in the morning and at bedtime ;however, when he gets a cold his asthma ALWAYS worstens .
