This is absolutly taking over my life, but my question is I started taking lortab 7.5 like 2 weeks ago for a impacted wisdom tooth that I cant get out until October 7th (go figure). Of course I have a fear of taking any new medications unless its my prozac 30 mg. I have been off my prozac for 1 and 1/2 and was doing pretty good until i started taking the lortab.
ve tried several medications for anxiety and panic attacks, but have had major side effects from them all. Zoloft, Celexa, etc. My doctor recently prescribed Prozac for my anxiety and panic attacks. In reading about Prozac, it does list anxiety and panic, but they are down the list a ways. Does anyone know if Prozac is a good choice for this? I don't want to take them if they aren't going to do anything. I don't have OCD, which seems to be the main disorder Prozac is prescribed for.
I have a panic disorder and since I've been pregnant an off my meds they have been so bad. Any one else deal with this? If so how did you cope. My cnp said that I could try Prozac but that there is a small risk for cardiac problems for baby, just feeling really conflicted.
I recently got off Vicodin on January 2nd. It became addictive. I've been on Xanax for 10 years and I am tapering. I'm taking 1-1/2 mg. per day and I started taking Prozac at 10 mg. per day a week ago. I am experiencing racing thoughts, discomfort with my heart beating, clammy, smoky taste in my mouth after sleeping, horrible Anxiety buzz (Which begins with the racing thoughts), sore temple, tightness in head.
Hi monk i started taking wellbutrin about 6-weeks ago,and i have an anziety/panic disorder and i thought that maybe wellbutrin could help me after my last re-lapse.The same way you are questioning.The medication seemed to cause in the last week a feeling of anziety/panic. I stopped 3-days ago and feel better each day im off wellbutrin.
ll need to learn how to handle without drinking or taking pills. Prozac worked wonderd for my Panic Disorder, I haven't had an attack in 12 years and been offf Prozac for 5 years.
Hang in there, you can do it but you must not go near the pills or you'll end up right back on it and possibly loose your job.

I'm 12 days into taking 10 mg of Prozac after struggling for several months with reoccurring Panic Attacks that morphed into Panic Disorder. I'm taking steps to improve my life, working out more, trying to eat better, and educating myself on the disorder and how to relax. One of those steps has been cutting back on how much/frequently I drink.
However, I do enjoy the social element of having a few beers and today I'm hosting a party.
t experiencing panic attacks. I later developed panic disorder on top of the illness (i was pretty scared for a few months), and while my physical symptoms are mostly better now (not completely), panic attacks can be triggered very easily. I worry about the illness, which can send me into a state of panic, and strangely, panic attacks present with similar symptoms that I had when I was very ill.
I have always found it odd that Xanax is prescribed PRN for severe panic disorder. For those of us who DO have panic attacks, they almost always come out of nowhere. We have no advance warning of any kind. To take a dose of Xanax when a panic attack strikes is akin to locking the barn door after the horse is out. By the time the Xanax has been absorbed into the system, the panic attack is over, the Xanax is basically worthless.
ok there are so many medications out there for anxiety/panic ,i have tried at least 6 different ones myself only to find that they were actually making it worse.i have extream anxiety and suffer at least one bad attack a day. ive been in therapy for years and they cant figure out wats the cause of them. so far they say its genetic. i have been on clonazapam for 4 years now and it helps alittle.
the solution to my panic symdrom was psychotherapy (The talk therapy) as for the Anti-depressants they say they are the cure.In my own experience with Prozac for example was increased panic and anziety and other back in the early 80tys.Thwere was a time that these attacks ruled my life,i was afraid to attend a medical oppoinment for the fear of having a panic attack in front of people and Losing control and ending up in a mental instution,tgose attacks can precipitate the feelings of suicide.
Celexa tends to be a better med generally for anxiety than Prozac because Prozac tends to be stimulating, though Prozac is considered an easier med to take and especially to stop taking. If you quit Celexa cold turkey and just switched to Prozac, you could be suffering from withdrawal, or it cold be side effects of Prozac, or it could be the problem I mentioned, that Prozac tends not to work as well when anxiety is the main problem, though for some it works fine. Lots to consider.
