Avatar m tn com - Stop using Reglan and call your doctor at once if you have tremors or uncontrolled muscle movements, fever, stiff muscles, confusion, sweating, fast or uneven heartbeats, rapid breathing, depressed mood, thoughts of suicide or hurting yourself, hallucinations, anxiety, agitation, seizure, or jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes). After you stop taking Reglan, you may have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms such as headache, dizziness, or nervousness.
789572 tn?1334424879 no, Bill, I moved out of Anchorage a couple of years ago, I'm in Washington state, now. I just kept this moniker because it's the one I used on here back when I was on tx. Only seen a couple of familiar names on here, hopefully everybody got cured and moved on. It's taken me 4 days to get over last week, I think I might go back to work tomorrow and see if I still have a job or not. This is the same fatigue I started noticing about 7 years ago, just seems to be worse, these days.
Avatar m tn I would like to warn you, I was getting all these symptoms being the sole caregiver of my parents, mom with a stroke, and dad with a blend of Alzheimer's, Bipolar, and Senile Dementia. I was there several years before my doctor did give me provigil. The thing is, I wished I would have known that what I had was caregiver burnout, and I didn't need more energy to use up to get a longer period of burnout, I needed someone to help me.
Avatar f tn Rondi..I am in a similar situation such as yourself. I had been on Provigil for approximately a year and it helped me tremendously. I was able to look for employment again, seek out options for going bk to school, and I had much less social anxiety with friends, family, and the public. I also went on a much needed weight loss program and had lost 17 lbs. Then my insurance denied coverage and we are working on an appeal.
Avatar n tn I would take 2 of them at a time every 2-4 hours, for a total of anywhere from 12-20 pills a day. My love for vicodin began with a severe toothache. I noticed that these pills made me feel normal, the way I should feel everyday. They gave me energy to get through the day. Before I knew it, I was hooked. I took my last fun dose of vicodin on Tuesday, March 3. It is now one week later, march 10th. I went to the doctor and I told him that I am always tired and I have lack of energy.
Avatar m tn It has been now one month and a half that I began reducing the dose and I am into my second week of not taking the drug at all. However, I am still experiencing very bad withdrawal symptoms, extreme fatigue, deep depression with suicidal thoughts, and complete lack of motivation and focus. I wonder if anyone out there has had this experience with Concerta.
1013208 tn?1256824731 Also, since anxiety and jitteryness - the feeling of jumping out of your skin - are prime symptoms of withdrawal - the provigil being a stimulant will almost certainly exaserbate these symptoms. Just know that you should start to feel better within another day or two. Get some light exercise and take some warm baths - they will help too.
1100837 tn?1267668675 Hello Leila006, You have definitely been through a lot medication and pain wise. I am glad though that someone is finally addressing the fatigue problems you have been having. Here are my thoughts. The Provigil might be okay. I've never tried it myself, I have heard of this being used for fatigue before, so it does make a little bit of sense. I have heard more often other options being used though, but I would give it a chance and see how it goes.
Avatar n tn i know a person who has ms and cannot get out of bed unless she takes this provigil. it is not suppose to be addicting, its for energy. my friend is not into other medications only having to take this meds for energy. so it should not be something you could abbuse if u r taking as directed.
398059 tn?1447945633 ve been taking Provigil for quite a while...it does seem to feel like it has no effect, but then I am doing things rather than always feeling the need to lie down where ever I am...In a couple weeks, when I see the specialist, I'm going to ask about it...
Avatar f tn It took less than 3 minutes. I thought there was a lot of other stuff they do. Oh well, if provigil helps, something good came out of seeing him!
Avatar n tn I take Amitriptyline 20 mg at night to get good REM sleep - and I take Provigil 200 mg every morning for fatigue. Once I started taking the Provigil I instantly had a lot more energy and I realized that I really didn't have any depression (I was frustrated and saddened by the fact that I was always too tired to do things I wanted or to get things done.
405614 tn?1329144114 addendum: just to clarify, I don't think provigil users are pill seekers! I think my doc has a narrow view and want to know more about these medications. It sounds like it could really be of help to me.
Avatar m tn after an organ transplant) whose bodies might take up to 3 or 6 months to make a detectable amount of antibodies. The CDC will recommend a 3 month window period for a number of reasons, one being that it will ensure that the test is accurate for everyone, including that small group of people who need to wait longer than 6 weeks. The only STDs that are transmitted through blood-to-blood contact are HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.
Avatar f tn If you want to hear more about my thoughts or experiences with Provigil, I have a great deal of information on it--just send me a message. Keep me posted on how the MRI goes!
Avatar n tn re that sensitive to the provigil and nuvigil, you may have even more side effects trying to switch to a stimulant. Some of the stimulants used for this purpose include: Ritalin, Focalin, Dexedrine, Desoxyn, and Vyvanse. You said you've already tried Adderall without success, so I left it off this list.
Avatar m tn I have essentially, turned myself into an addict am ashmed and embarassed I allowed that to happen. A fwhile ago a friend gave me a huge ziplock bag of PROVIGIL 200, and a massive amount of ritalin, 5s,10s, and extended release 20s. I have attempted to research PROVIGIL, ate one and it seems to add to my energy level. I am not looking to trade addictions.
Avatar f tn Trouble is, like Jules L5S1, I get heart symptoms from Provigil - so I have to limit it to only once or twice a week. Usually I get a sustaining day-after-Provigil-effect so even the day following Provigil I have slightly more energy than usual - enough to get by. I do have to get more rest, though, later in the day on days when I take Provigil - or else I have really scary symptoms. I nap longer and go to bed earlier on the day of a Provigil dose.

Avatar m tn I read lots of good reviews about Provigil. It's a stimulant-like drug but it doesn't have the same withdrawal effects as adderall or ritalin. I tried straterra once and I had horrible side effects. I'm just mentioned this because you probably also suffer from anxiety. Try to avoid drugs if you are just going though momentary life problems...
Avatar f tn Good news/bad news. Bad news is that my insurance has never approved Provigil but my doctor always had a plenty of samples for me. Now, no more samples. Has anyone tried the generic Provigil? I've been given the new Nuvigil to try for a week. If that also works then we will fight my insurance company for that. Just checking to see if anyone has tried the new medicine or the generic form.
765921 tn?1240405239 t think I have MS (hes a MS specialist) but that he really thinks I have fibromyalgia because of all of my pain and all of the other symptoms I have and since I had a normal MRI but also a doctor in the past had mentioned fibro, he said it was more of a possibility. He wrote me a consult for a rhumatologist, and gave me a lab slip for my blood work. I am so happy.

Avatar n tn Go to the manufactor website for Provigil and somewhere on the page, there should be a link that you can click on that says, "need help paying for medication," if you click on that link, it will take you where you will be able to print off a pharmacy discount card and you take this card to the pharmacy and they enter it in the computer and depending on your copay, the manufactor will pick up a large percentage of your copay, sometimes up to $100!
1307298 tn?1305946851 Does anyone know of a resource that has a comprehensive list of treatments for MS fatigue? I want to know what my potential options are. I'd consider traditional Rx, naturopathic / alternative treatments, diet, behavior, etc. changes. I already take Vitamins B and D.
1128565 tn?1316721143 First of all it is not quite clear what is causing all the symptoms but an important and proven factor from a neurobiological point of view is called an anticholinergic rebound. When you stop a antidepressant drug it is very likely to cause interruption of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine (involved in memory and learning and other cognitive function as well widely used when a person is under stress, it's depletion cause a variety of symptoms).
