propecia

Avatar n tn If a woman who is pregnant comes into contact with the active ingredient in PROPECIA, a doctor should be consulted. PROPECIA tablets are coated and will prevent contact with the active ingredient during normal handling, provided that the tablets are not broken or crushed.” Refer: http://www.propecia.com/finasteride/propecia/consumer/possible-side-effects/ Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Avatar m tn there were just times I could feel literally during sex my penis getting less and less hard.. that scared me. in the back of my mind I was thinking about the time it happened before and I think it made it happen so that wasn't fun..it crushed me.. I was convinced it was mental but obviously that plays into it to.. it's been so hard.. then I contributed it more to propecia and obviously after that I just had to quit.. I don't get why 5 years later it's becoming a issue?
Avatar n tn Let me know if anything helps...I got a urologist referal...but kind of anxious about going....im gonna try some herbal stuff and hope for the best. Im somewhat out of shape....so Im gonna try to exercise more, lift weights.....so at to try to naturally increase my hormone levels. For me...I know its hormonal....I can just feel it. The degree my erections have decreased is the exact degree my libido has decreased....they have decreased in proportion.
Avatar n tn Usually you can find out things like this from a pharmacist, and it is also helpful to look up the drug's website and perhaps give a call to its 800 number.
Avatar n tn I split the pills in half, which is pretty close to the dosage for Propecia. The bottle lasts me two months, and costs me $5 because finasteride is covered on my insurance. I'm 28 years old, soooo....the insurance company DID need my doctor to verify the prescription. But like I said, he is cool :) See if your doc will hook you up the same!
Avatar m tn My erections are not as hard as they used to be and I do not stay hard for long. I attribute my erection problems to the Propecia tablet that I take daily. As you know, Propecia is 1 mg. of finasteride. Propecia has been shown to cause side effects such as erectile problems in a small minority of users. Unfortunately, I appear to be in that small minority. Once my erection problems surfaced, I began looking for a solution.
Avatar n tn I have been finding myself waking up in the middle of the night and in the morning with erections but often they are very uncomfortable ones and sometimes even painful. My sex drive is no where near where it was before taking propecia and besides the erections I get in the morning or when I am sleeping, I still do not get spontaneous erections. I also don't get erections unless physically stimulated.
Avatar m tn I only just noticed it four days ago and have immediately stoped taking the medication. Would you say I have done permanent damage or when the findristride is totaly out if my system will it all go back to normal. I have an okay sex life and I am 32.
Avatar m tn I have been taking Propecia since 2.5 years at variable doses(0.25 first 6months, 0.5 mg for one year and 1 mg for 1 year till today), In october 2016 my derm put me on accutane 10 mg and minoxiline(100mg) for treating my mild acne, I had been drinking heavily for 5 days before starting my accutane course, 10 days into the course, I started to have Gyno(Unilateral, right breast with a movable tender lump), I dropped accutane and minoxiline and also propecia after 23 days.
Avatar m tn One of the symptoms I have been experiencing is bed wetting which is something I have not done since I was a kid but within the past year have urinated three times in bed, I went into the doctor and they checked my urine sample but it came back well within the normal range. I also have experienced grinding of my teeth, sweating after I drink soda such as if one was eating spicy food on my forehead and cheeks, always feeling full, erectile dysfunction and it appears retrograde ejaculation.
Avatar f tn s advie and this might did the affect the HIV first test reading which came positive as I stopped taking those medicine after the first rapid test which came positive, and do I need to repeat the HIV test again as the doctor asked me to do the HIV test again in 1 year time which made me worried more as he might knows something which I don‘t know and honestly the last days were a disaster for me but what about waiting for 1 year which I‘m sure I will die before that?
Avatar f tn 5mg every other day for my hair. Could this be the cause? He insisted that it was NOT the Finasteride (propecia). In addition, I asked if it could be low testosterone and he claimed that it was not the issue in this case. I'm an avid bodybuilder whom exercises 5-6 days a week.
Avatar m tn Your hair is going to fall out in excess on treatment even with the use of Propecia or Rogaine; that is just one of the unfortunate side effects. Hair restoration meds are not cheap and personally I wouldn't waste my money on it until several months after you have completed treatment.

Avatar f tn Most of us are in the U.S. and would not be able to answer your question, as we don't know the rules surrounding your NHS. You should check with your local authorities. Or you could check with another clinic to see. We do find that the NHS does not, often, allow for adequate thyroid testing/treatment, and many of our members do have to go private in order to get adequate care. Do you know the exact TSH level? Some doctors refuse to begin treatment until TSH is quite high.
468452 tn?1225964888 My question is, is this drug only prescibed in the US? I myself had never heard of it here in the UK. Does anybody know if it perhaps has another name here in the UK or do we just not use the drug? I currently take Diazapam or Ativan for extreme attacks but it would be nice to have something to take on a regular basis that does the same thing but without the same addictive qualities and to perhaps stop me from getting myself into a state in the first place? Does anyone know about this???
4020799 tn?1355825570 I'm having one. I'm in Australia. We aren't telling anyone the sex of the baby until the shower so my partners mum has done the pink and blue theme. We have games, a bbq lunch and desert. They have a pool, and stuff so being summer here should be good. But I'm not doing the girlie shower it's a moved family one.
1421489 tn?1285525635 Thanks for your comments - it seems that with NICE and reduction in benefits, MS-ers are having a bad time of it in the UK at the moment (disclaimer: only in comparison with the prior UK situation, not in comparison to the US...) Is anyone out there in the UK and on DMDs? If so, did the neuro prescribe them as a matter of course, or did it take a while?
Avatar m tn Forgot the most important word but you can insert mind, energy level, memory, skin moisture, restful sleep and a few others and the sentence will still be correct. Treatment is tough and in the big scheme of things hair loss is the least of your worries. I know as young man of 32 it's difficut to understand that but it's very true.
Avatar n tn My father still has all his hairs and no one in the family is bald. So is there a way to stop this baldness or regain hair? Please advise.
Avatar f tn Has the Valium causes the bladder muscles to relax or was this all in my head and Valium has just taken the edge off anxiety???
1580085 tn?1400940838 Hi I too am in the UK and I am afraid our GP's don't seem to be very good at dealing with this illness. I spent 2 years when first diagnosed being told my blood tests were normal whilst feeling awful, my main symptom being anxiety when my levels are wrong. I gained weight and was told by my gp that this wasn't a sympton just an excuse!
