Thus, I need to address my erection problems while still being able to take Propecia. I read that L-Arginine could help with my erectile problems and that it works similar to Viagra. Thus, I began taking L-Arginine, 1500 mg. twice a day. It has helped but it has not solved the problem. I went to my doctor and he gave me a prescription for Viagra, 50 mg. My question is this: Is it safe to occasionally take Viagra if I also take L-Arginine?
Saw Palmetto works like propecia but side effects are more severe than propecia. It blocks both 5-alpha reductase type I & II. so Testosterone does not convert to DHT, no DHT means no sexual function. Some people using SP also suffer from low total T and free T or in other words they are hypogonadal. The only solution is go on TRT for the life.

I took this propecia pill for 5 years 1mg a day everyday.. since I was 17 with little to no side effects besides no morning erections and watery semen.. turned 22 oct 2nd of 2016.. as the months went on I felt like my penis wasn't working like it should.. my erections seemed much weaker.. I stopped being hard during sex twice with my girlfriend..
Not in large clumps but when I run a wet hand through my hair, a good 10-20 hairs are stuck to it. If I keep running my hand through more and more keeps coming out. Although it is worst in the front it appears to be rapidly thinning everywhere. I have very thick hair so this may have been going on for longer and I may have just not realized it.
Having done some research on my own, I 'thought' I knew what I had.
10 years ago my husband and I got pregnant the very 1st month we tried and went on to have a healthy boy. It has been a month now but my Gyno hasnt reduced, I restarted propecia as I was starting to lose hair.
The side effects I am experiencing from using propecia are virtually identical to yours. I stopped using it 14 months ago, but I still have severe issues with libido and erection quality.
Taking Viagra clearly works, try a small amount (cut up a 100 mg in 4 or 8 roughly equal pieces) and see how it works for you. I used Proscar (Propecia) years ago and definitely felt it killed my libido. It does dramatically lower DHT, a sex hormone *supposedly* only needed during your growing years - but nobody has ever explained how a crucial sex hormone just suddenly becomes unimportant when you turn 18. Try generic minoxidil to keep your hair instead.
As info, more than likely your is going to fall out with or without Propecia. I don't know how Propecia will effect the treatment drugs but some hair loss will be unavoidable.
My mindset during treatment was the less drugs I had to take, the better off I was because the treatment drugs are very powerful and I didn't want my body to have to metabolize any more drugs than absolutely necessary.

I will have to go back and see if I can find that one. It was really interesting. Seems to be all upside down in the way it works as to the way you would think it did. I have been under alot of stress in the past two years due to divorce, physical problems, addiction to pills (oxycontin), smoking and losing my job and career...many other problems in my life. I am 40 years old and have always had a thick wavy head of hair. I started using a product made by Nissin which is a medicated shampoo followed by a treatment that gets massaged in. I took him to dermetologist, he priscribed Propecia for him. He said it has sexual side effect and goes away when yo sop taking the drug. He has lots of hair now and he does not lose any more hair. However, news is floting around saying that the sexual side effect comes from propecia is sometime not reversible. Asyesterday,he stopped his medicine. I am really worried if it has done any damage to him or not.

I still strongly feel the urge for sex and am still very interested in my wife, but it suddenly is taking quite some time to get an erection. When it finally happens it is a somewhat weak one and i have to rush for fear of it going away even though everything still feels great. I do not smoke-I quit 3 years ago- I don't use drugs and drink light to moderately. I take propecia and straterra and have for years.
