I AM 39 YEARS OLD AND HAVE HAD MY TUBES CUT SINCE BIRTHOF DAUGHTER 3 YEARS AGO I JUST TK A PREG TES 12/23/08 IT WAS POSITIVE AND ALSO TOOK ANOTHER TEST LATER THAT DAY AND IT WAS NEG WHAT SHLD I DO DID MISS DEC PERIOD BUT SINCE TAKING PREGESTERONE TOHLP LIGHTEN MY PERIODS DIDNT THINK ANYTHING OF MISSING A PERIOD TK PREG TESTS BEFORE WHN STRTD THE MEDROXYPROGESTERONE AND HAD BLOOD TEST DONE IT WAS NEG NOW JUST TAKING PROGESTERON ALONE AND GETTING POSITIVE PREG TEST PLEASE ADV ME OF WHAT TO DO
That was pretty early for an hpt to detect pregnancy. I did start testing 9 days past my day 3 transfer and got a faint positive, but there are MANY women who don't get positives on even the most sensitive hpt's until after their expected period. And I actually wish I hadn't tested early, because then all I did was worry that it was probably a false positive (chemical pregnancy) until I got my first beta hcg three days later. Hang in there - you could very well be pregnant!
My progesterone dropped during my 4th week of pregnancy and the doctor prescribed prometrium. I am currently experiencing brief but horrible cramping accompanied with some minor bleeding. I've read the prescription information pamphlet over and over, and that is apparently a side effect. But with my history...I just need to know if anyone else experienced the same while taking Prometrium but still was able to have a healthy baby.
Im pretty sure ovarian cysts won't give you a false positive being that I've had polycystic ovaries for years and never got a b false pregnancy test. You're probably pregnant, so congrats Mama! Update us after your Dr visit!
I went through an ovulation induction cycle and was put on prometrium (progesterone) to support a healthy lining. I am now 20 days past ovulation, no period, and three negative home pregnancy tests (it is now day 33 of my cycle and I am typically a 28 day cycle, like clockwork). I talked to the doctor today who told me to stop the prometrium and I should expect my period in 2-3 days.
asked me to take prometrium 200mg vaginally only after I have a positive pregnancy test. Is there any chance I could prevent miscarriage by taking prometrium starting day14, because i'm planning to become pregnant this time. Is it safe to take before becoming pregnant?
My dr. told me to wait until day35, confirm pregnancy and to take prometrium. But the last two miscarriages was within 5 weeks. I could not call it as chemical pregnancy, because we saw the sac in u/s.
When I put patients on prometrium, I recommend a pregnancy test on day 32 or 33, and if the test is negative I suggest stopping the prometrium since the long periods can be a bit misleading.
The reason i tested was because i was having irregular spotting this month for my monthly cycle and my nurse asked to to take a home pregnancy test. so i did i recieved a faint positive as the urine went streaming down the test. Ever test after that including the ept from the docters have been negative and it is so sad i almost about cry, because i know i have a chance to be pregnant and i was experiencing the symptoms.
Since you had a miscarriage it is left over hormone left in your body. The pregnancy test detect the hcg in the urine, but the test doesn't know you were pregnant before. I'm sorry for your loss and hope you can conceive again. I too had mc last year and got pregnant again a few months later with twins. Take care of yourself!
so I found out I was pregnant a couple weeks ago my husband saved the pregnancy test and looked at it for the first time in two weeks... the plus line that was once there when we took it has faded away to a single line. Has anyone had that happenor or know if that is normal. My doctors appointment is not scheduled until the 22nd but two pregnancy tests have tested positive. I just wasn't sure if after time one line fades away.
I'd certainly err on the side of caution with the herpes WB blood test.
are you sure the first test that was >5 was a type specific test and not a combined test? When they reported the results was it hsv1 igg >5 and hsv2 >5 or just one result listed for the both of them?
the 13 weeks of pregnancy testing was ok with the 2nd test. just wanted to make sure it wasn't 36 weeks or anything late like that.
Yeah You might be Pregnant Don't trust every pregnancy test some can't tell this early. Try another test not the same one you used . Also try waiting another week stress can cause for a late period.
t taken any of the stuff they said could give you a false positive.
I took two home pregnancy test and they said positive does this for sure mean I'm pregnant?
