pristiq tired

I am so so tired lately. I take Ativan when needed for anxiety, which is more like .5 mg a day, at most 1mg. I'm on pristiq for depression, and seroquoel to stablize my mood and help the pristiq work better. I'm also on toporal XL to keep my heart from racing all the time. The doctor said to avoid all caffeine which i do, only water, juice, sprite and soy milk! I avoid any type of OTC meds with caffeine too. But i am so stinking tired and have zero energy becuase of this.

Just hot my thyroid levels at a good level. I switched from pristiq to cymbalta back in November. I am tired ALL the time. More than when my thyroid was out of whack. Could the cymbalta be causing this and if so, what if I took it at night?

just gone on 6 weeks with pristiq feeling shaky inside,tired has anyone else feel shaky inside on this med is this a side effect after all this time or could it be its not working heard it can take up to 8 weeks has anyone taken it this long to work?

Ive developed headaches and am severly tired...Ive been off the pristiq for three weeks....should i have tapered off the pristiq first even though they are suppose to be the same??? help please i dont know what to do and i cant take it anymore...

I am on Armour Thyroid for Hypothyroidism, Pristiq for depression, Protonix for GERD and HRT. I know the Pristiq can cause it, but the dry mouth started years after I started the Pristiq. I just sent my doctor an email questioning whether Thyroid problems can cause dry mouth. Anyone have any ideas or answers? Thanks!

I take my Pristiq right after lunch. It kind of depends on your choice. It doesn't make me sleepy so I can do that. If it keeps you awake at night then take in the the morning or noon. If it makes you sleepy then take in in the evening. You should do well on it. I have found it to be a very clean antidepressant. Weith makes it and they really know their stuff. They have some of the best antidepressants in the world.

anyone on pristiq? wats your experience on it? how long did it take to get full effect?

Hello all, I hope I can get some support thru this forum. Here's my story. I've always suffered from anxiety from time to time growing up. Had my first encounter with anxiety when I was 18 and I'm now 29. I've tken antidepressants a couple of times during this time period. About early december 2009, I decided to try Pristiq for my anxiety since I had already taken effexor for 2 years few years ago and it supposed to be very similar.

So, my dr just doubled my dosage of 50mg of pristiq to 100 two days ago. Now i feel numb, foggy, and like half of my memory is gone. Is this normal? Now he wants to add the Saraquol. Im really kind of nervious, i'm already super tired, with no motivation, and this new stuff is supposed to make me sleep more. I just feel like i'm being thrown in a hole. Can anyone help explain these medications to me? And why i feel this way? I just feel so sleepy and depressed.

s going on day 3 now and I am ready to start feeling normal again. I feel very tired too! Saturday (day 2 without Pristiq) I slept until 2pm! I am normally up at 7 am. I feel drowsy/drunk right now. Overall, being on the medicine was GREAT! It helped me a lot, but it just wasn't the right medicine for me. I just hope Wellbutrin alone is enough to do the trick. We'll see!

I am also taking Pristiq. Wonder if that has anything to do with it? Anyone else taking Pristiq and Topamax? Had the same issues? Would love to know.

ve been so ****tired and just wanted to sleep. i saw on the forum about l-tyrosine and wondering if i should get some. can i take it while i'm on Pristiq? would it hurt me in any way. just need some energy bad!!

hey everyone, today my psychiatrist switched me from 50mg of Pristiq to 37.5mg of Effexor XR, he said the 50mg of Pristiq was too much, anyone ever done this switch or have experiences on the 37.5mg of Effexor?

I was on paroxetine for 6 years and stop it gradually with out any problems but i still have primary pe but very good erection after one year with out any drugs my doctor give me pristiq snri for pe i took one pill only it decrease my penile sensitivty and weak erection i stoped it iam 8days now and still weak erection and decrease lipido is this pssd? Is this reversible? One dose only could make this?

I ended up on 100Mgs a day with Pristiq and took it for a good 5 months, it worked ok, but not well enough to cover my symptoms. I then got off Pristiq. (I must tell you that the withdrawl from Pristiq is very strong. MUCH worse than even with Cymbalta or Effexor. My best results were with Effexor XR (a couple years before the Cymbalta and pristiq problem) Effexor XR just worked much better.

m now on Pristiq which is Effexor metabolite. Pristiq is less side effects. Both may work differently. For me, Pristiq work better. Pristiq may also reduce sexual desire but not like Effexor. Also, it work differently from one to another. Google on Pristiq if it available where you live.

Effexor makes it even worse. So the doctor changed me to Pristiq and said side effects will not be as bad as with Effexor. After taking it for 1 month I kept eating and gaining weight. And my menstrual cycle went crazy (one and a half months thinking I started an early menopause!). So I panicked and stopped Pristiq, but next day felt the horrible withdrawal effects (dizziness and nausea that kept me in bed). Next day I started taking 80 mg Prozac and withdrawal effects diminished.

n pristiq before bed...I suddenly stopped taking pristiq cuz I ran out n my phyciatrist doc office was closed..its beeen 2days now that I haven't taken pristiq..my head hurts bad it feels soar n my neck n ears hurt n eyes a bit..I also have a soar throat..could this b cuz im just stressing n stressing or because I stopped my medication pristiq?? Hi. I tried Pristiq in an attempt to help with menopausal symptoms. I was (and am) on Effexor XR, and Pristiq is almost identical to Effexor XR. I think the only difference is in their molecules. I didn't find Pristiq any better (for me) than Effexor XR, so I went back to Effexor XR. I wish you the best of luck with it. I hope it works for you.

ve recently been experiencing panic attacks. My Dr added Pristiq to my treatment. As I understand, Pristiq is a more purified form of Effexor. Since starting on the Pristiq two weeks ago, I have felt like pure poo poo. I went to a GP today, thinking I may have a virus or something. She said she would NEVER prescribe both Effexor and Pristiq together. I'm pretty confused on which doctor I'm supposed to believe. I'm going to try to stop the Pristiq, but am not sure what will happen.

the out come i have general anxiety disorder, depression and bi polar one disorder or so i am told. i was prescribed pristiq and lamictal low low doses....50 mg pristiq 25 mg lamictal which of course i will keep upping and upping and upping until what my brain is totally fried and i am a hollow shell of myself???? the problem is i can't live like i was before and i can't live like i am right now. i have been on this medicine for 4 days, that's it.

My doctor put me on pristiq and I am afraid to take it. I took Zoloft while pregnant and stopped about a month after my daughter was born. I felt good then. Then my gp put me on Lexapro and that zonked me out. Back to Zoloft again. I feel just like the depression commercials describe. I hate it. I just would like to know if anyone has been taking it and how you feel on it.

I am a 51 year old female and need to stop pristiq and go back on paxil .
