prezista and isentress

PEP. So I was placed on Prezista, Truvada, and Norvir and developed a rash from it that my MD says is from the medication. I of course freaked out thinking it was an ARS symptom so he changed my regimen to Combivir and Insentress. He initially wanted me to wait three days to restart (I have been on the previous combo since Jan 17th, so a little over a week).

What is your doctor thinking? Is this an HIV Specialist? Are you multi drug resistant? You say your combo is Combivir : which is AZT and 3TC Truvada : which is Viread and Emtriva (which is almost identical to 3TC and should not be taken together) Viread : which is already in the Truvada! Prezista : which is a PI that MUST be taken with Norvir which you aren't on!

The pharmacist told me that I have to be extremely meticulous about taking the pills on time (Truvuda every 24 hours at around 7:30pm, and Isentress every 12 hours at both 7:30pm and 7:30am. I set my alarm for 7:30am to take the Isentress.

I had a risk exposure and had a base hiv test 4th gen ab/ag 25 hours after pep or after 2 truvadas and 3 isentress. Could this affect the negative result of the base test? Is the base test considered conclusive? The only risk exposure is no longer since the other party hiv test was negative and the exposure was low risk. Thanks for your help...

I saw that on both, Isentress and Truvada, but nothing about the consent the fat atrophy. It is in a year, 10 years, 1 month, 1 days ????????

Handsfield, I have started with antiretroviral therapy in April this year after my cd4+ further declined to 480 and viral load remained very high at 800,000 even after 6 months after exposure. I am currently on combination of Truvada, Prezista and Norvir which I take regularly every 24 hours. I feel much better than before meds, from time to time I have soar throat, nothing serious though. I didnt notice any significant side effects except temporary diarrhoea.

I had a sexual encounter and they have put me on truvada and isentress for 4 weeks. It is one week over but I have very bad stomach. I usually have a chronic gastritis due to helyco bacter that I have not managed so far to get rid of. My doctor said I could take Nexium 20 which is my usual medication for this matter but to try no to take it everyday beacaus of interaction with isentress but he is gone on vacation now and I have a really upset stomach and I dont know what to do.

I took the Truvada 16 hours post exposure and the isentress at 34 post exposure. I take the truvada at 530pm every day and the isentress at 830 am and pm. Is it ok that im not taking them at the same time?

This is another reason to avoid CSWs. But should you do it and you do have a condom break, get PEP. PEP is 2 drugs -- Truvada + Isentress. In NY they are readily available. Get it within 24 hrs. If you take PEP within a day or so, its 99%, you wont get HIV, even if she has it. Be well.

I'm on truvada and isentress I have 14 days left due to the condom breaking I asked the guy to take a or a quick test when it broke I went to CVS and bought it...he tested positive... I was on pep 4 hours afterwards...

Hello - I understand that oral with a person who is HIV+ is low risk, but would it be a good idea to take PEP anyway? My concern is the side effects of the Isentress and Truvada combination. I have the medication, but if infection is very highly unlikely, I think I shouldn't. Friends are telling me not to worry and doctor says it is up to me (which I know). Opinions?

ll be the instance of acquiring HIV with such superficial and brief possible penetration. I began PEP treatment (Truvada and Isentress) within 48 hours. He never ejaculated throughout the night and I didn't feel pre cum at any time but I know that doesn't mean pre cum wasn't there. Am I at potential risk for HIV transmission given he fingered me and may have caused potential tiny cuts combined with the brief/minimal possibility of penetration?

The doctor told me to take Tenvir once a day for 30 days and Isentress twice a day for 30 days, I want to know what is my risk of exposure to HIV, and did my risk require PEP? Does PEP lower my risk to 0? Do I need to finish my PEP treatment?
