preparing oxycontin for injection

I have been taking Oxycontin 60 mg daily for about 3 years for pain. I have to active diseases causing the pain but I am tired of being dependant on the oxy. I would like to know what to expect once I stop taking my oxy and suggestions on how to make this successful. I read some where that valium can help with the pain while getting off the oxy and then I can go to my pain mgmnt dr to begin non-addictive pain management. Thank you all in advance for helping me prepare for this.

True jollyman069 We all pay and we all suffer because of those who want to use our meds for pleasure. I have posted repeated pleas for ways we can help the situation. The goverment is getting more involved because of the many teens that are now into taking these meds for pleasure. Parents want these meds to be unavailable to them but they are also making them unavailable to the people who need them.

I've been taking Hydro's for years and Got off of them for awhile and found Oxycontin. I get a couple 80mg's and just take half a day, so around 40mg's per day. I've been taking them for about a month straight now. I don't know much about the withdrawal from them. If it's exactly like Hydro withdrawal, but my question is is that strong strength I'm taking per day and will I have extreme wd's? Thanks in advance for all your help!

If that blood shot in preparing the injection needle for me, then take the drug solution suction needle and injected into my body ... There is one risk? Thanks !

I'm wondering if 1 oxycontin (80mg) that my BF gives me every day to assist in my wean will help me. I am having minimal WD signs but the physical pain for which I was initially prescribed 3 Dils (8mgs each) per day by the former doc comes roaring back every morning. I am no longer on the Dilaudids.

As I was preparing my injection for my B12 vitamin in the bathroom, my 18-yo interrupted me because she needed to use the faculties real quick a few minutes later I entered, only for her to come running in the the washroom waving her arms at me, telling me to stop, yelling at me that she forgot to switch the needle out. I'm 33 wks too n everything I've been gifted or bought is washed n put in his drawers!!! I have his clothes ready for the hospital too!! ;-) Friday is not too early hun!! As for sunscreen, I wouldn't put it on right away because their skin is so sensetive...I remember with my third baby, she was born in April and I had to find a sensetive skin sunscreen for her..what I used for my two oldest girls irritated her skin really bad..

I have HCV G1a with early stage cirrhosis, insurance denied me for Sovaldi / Olysio. I contacted the manufacturers and I am eligible for PAP (patient assistance program)and just finished filling out applications.I will be taking it to my doctors office in the morning to fill out physicians portion so I can fax it in. They said approval/denial process only takes a week and meds will be shipped within 4 days after approval ( this excited me).

t matter so much on gender. I am 11 weeks right now. We are waiting for alot of the rest for when we find out :) right now we are focusing on saving money for when we find out and for me to take time off after the baby is born.
