Can I use Premarin cream along with a yeast medication(Diflucan)? Does the moisture in the Premarin cream keep a yeast infection from healing?

i also had a total hyst 20 yrs ago..was on premarin for alot of years and felt great..now ive been off them for 6 years now and feel and look like ****.hot flashes constantly..for the past year ive had acne on my chin that will not go away and ive been told its due to hormmonal imbalance..so im trying to find out some info on this..ill pass any info along that might balance our levels..im going to the health food store to find out.

Do I need to continue taking Premarin .0625 or can I discontinue since I am past meopause age.

Has anyone used Premarin to help jump start their period? And if so, how long did it take? I am on it for 25 days (Premarin) and then starting the aygestin after the 16th day.

I took the 1/2 pill with great caution as my mom took premarin for many years and ended up with breast cancer which eventually took her life 5 years ago). I have been tortured since stopping my premarin regime. I don't think I have had a full nights sleep since - in fact last evening the first wake up was at 3:38 and then I had 5 more flashes before I finally got out of bed and started my day with more flashes. I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound,the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I suffer from Hashimotos autoimmune disease for many years and was diagnosed last year with Lupus after suffering many years with leukopenia which was caused by the Lupus or the Premarin. I took myself off of Premarin in July 2016 and I feel so much better. My hair is now growing back after losing about 3/4 of it during a Lupus flare-up that lasted over 7 months. Vonda, Your doctor prescribed Premarin with NO progesterone, and you still have your uterus? Are you still having periods? What did your gyn say about this? I'm no doctor, but prescribing estrogen with no progesterone to a woman with a uterus sounds contrary to everything I've read. Back in the 70's they did this all the time.

My doctor has instructed me to stop taking Premarin because of my age of 65 years due to cancer risks. I also learned that by turning 65 (in the U.S.) insurance will no longer cover. 625mg for 7 months and did very well. Before that, I had tried everything else with very little improvement. Before Premarin I was having hot flashes, anxiety, and terrible insomnia. Did the blood test route, etc., took whopping doses of Viatmin D and got put on Premarin, the lowest dose. I did not do well on that. I became actually worse, emotionally and it didn't help the sweats, irritability or anything. My doctor told me to try Estroven, and it's better, but I still feel like crap. Yes that is a side effect for sure with the Lupron. Premarin I wasnt on it long enough as it was causing me yeast infections. I will have to do some research on the Medroxy one. Do you know if its a progesterone based drug?

Did you mean to say that at one time you were talking .137mg of Synthroid? A pharmaceudical cross reference mentions a possible confict with hypothyroidism and Premarin. How significant that is I don't know. I wouldn't stop taking it. All you can do is ask for better tests and monitor your levels every six weeks until you get your TSH back up above 1.0. A TSH and a Free T4 every time. A Free T3 if you want to know what it is after you are above 1.0.

Actually estrogen can cause problems with milk supply. That's why they don't give the birth control pills with estrogen...just the progresterone only pills when breastfeeding. I would definately call and ask your doctor more about this before you take it. I know certain forms of estrogen cause problems with milk supply, I'm not sure if all do.

My Dr now says there's some questions being asked about premarin being given after a historectomy. It can make the cancer worse in some cases, Depending on the type of cells.
