Avatar f tn Thanks for responding. I have been on HRT, that's why I am seeking something alternative. HRT made me crazy..even on the lowest dosage. I foun d one bioidentical online that actually contained MSG as an ingredient and I am horribly sensitive to that, gives me migraines, which is also one of the lovely s/e of menopause. I will look up a reproducitve endocrinologist..thanks, didn't know where to turn!
Avatar n tn m very skeptical about taking it. I looked it up online and the side-effects are very frightening. The last time this happened, I was prescribed vitamin K to stop the bleeding. Can someone please clarify exactly what premarin is and how it is going to stop this bleeding?
1112541 tn?1286311213 Hi Charliegirl! There are definitely natural / herbal products that really do work for many of us. I started using an herbal product called Wisdom Menopause Formula last winter when I couldn't handle the side effects that Premarin was causing me, and it has worked wonders - way better than I expected. I know at least six other women who are taking it, and I haven't heard anything but praise.
Avatar f tn The Premarin helped quite a bit with the hot flashes, but my moods and anxiety levels seemed to get even worse. Plus it was causing physical side effects that were really scaring me, so I quit after only a few months. After quitting the hormones I started using and herbal supplement called Wisdom Menopause Formula, and for me it has been wonderful.
Avatar n tn I had my hysterectomy uterus and ovaries removed in 2012. I took just premarin until 2015 and then stopped. I quit the estradoil and earlier this week I went back to my old Gyn and told him about the symptoms I am having. Insomnia is the worst, anxiety, depression. He put me back on premarin .625. I have been taking this for three days now. He mentioned about the progesterone for sleep but was wanting to wait and see how I do with just the premarin. I gave it two days still poor sleep.
1194973 tn?1385503904 s in menopause. She says it helps a LOT with the typical side effects of menopause; mood swings, hot flashes, etc....why did they put ou on Premarin?
Avatar f tn ok so the doctor put me on clomid from the 3rd day of my period. I took tablets but I've been having side effects from after ovulation. I have breast tenderness. extreme tiredness, food cravings. I want to know how long does the side effects last. I'm on day 24 of my cycle. Took a pregnancy test yesterday but it came up negative..
Avatar f tn When they prescribed this medication to your baby, they should have informed you of the potential side effects. I would say that it is almost definitely expected that she was going to develop pubic hair as a result of this medication. And if she were older, maybe even 8 or so, I may have expected even more than that, like possibly development of breasts and such. I'm sorry that you are dealing with this. I wouldn't sweat it though.
1361044 tn?1277598308 Honestly, in my opinion, babies are so wrapped up in this new world, all the new things going in for them, that a little cold (virus) hardly slows them down. it could be your baby is behind because she doesn't feel well all the time, and THAT is holding her back. Maybe not, but in either case I would push for them to figure it out. Chalking it all down to a virus is a lazy, sorry excuse. My point is, YOU DO know your child more than anyone.
Avatar f tn I'm sorry to hear about the migraines. Zoladex will suppress the periods as long as you take it, but when you stop taking it, they come back. It's also got a lot of side effects that sound very unpleasant, along with the risk of osteoporosis. You might look up Wikipedia's entry on Zoladex (it will link you to the generic name).
2176548 tn?1340677817 Yes that is a side effect for sure with the Lupron. Premarin I wasnt on it long enough as it was causing me yeast infections. I will have to do some research on the Medroxy one. Do you know if its a progesterone based drug?
Avatar f tn How much time we need to continue this medication? Any known side effects of Levipil for infants?
Avatar f tn My ob doctor prescribed me Premarin for so long until I found out it side effects, so I ordered Macafem, hoping it will help. Please let me know how you are dealing with this very difficult issue! Thanks!
Avatar f tn I have been on estrogen replacement since my surgery in 1998. I still have moderate-severe hot flashes and they seem to be getting more intense with age. I switched from oral Premarin which covered me pretty well but I didn't want to be taking pills the rest of my life. Since then I have tried a variety of patches that are really not very effective on a regular basis and very expensive. At my age, what do you recommend. Is Premarin dangerous (risk of DVT).
Avatar n tn rapid heart rate, severe headaches at the back of my neck & head, muscle cramping of calves, hands & feet. Now I am experiencing additional symptoms of chills, slight fever ( under 100), pelvic discomfort, continued uncle cramping, bad headaches as well as continued bleeding, all happening after sundown each day. Seeing surgeon, my ob gyn, Wednesday. What am I dealing with? Has the Pro Lift mesh caused an infection? Where does the bleeding come from?
1168718 tn?1464983535 m guessing by your use of Premarin Cream is because your trying to prevent vaginal dryness due to estrogen loss. According to their website, the most common side effects include headache, infection, abdominal pain, back pain, accidental injury, and vaginitis (yeast infection). So my guess is... there's your culprit...if this all started at the same time you started the Premarin and nothing else would fit. I would call your doctor and see if there is another med your could get on.
Avatar m tn I am interested in the prognosis of other infants or young children that have survived an aneurysm through surgery. Any history or information you could share would be appreciated. He was admitted in hospital due to fever where aneurysm may have potentially ruptured, seized for 3 hours, lot of blood in his brain, went through coiling surgery, had 2 angioplasty to control cerebral vasospasm.
Avatar f tn my hysterectomy was in 2007. I have only had these recent symptoms for the last 2-3 years. I don't know where I am in menopause but one of the follicle tests showed that my levels were in the 60's when they were only supposed to be around 15. I can't take meds because it effects my burning mouth syndrome. My Hot flashes are insane.
Avatar n tn Prior to my hysterectomy I was in medical menopause anyway so no hormones since age 15. I am fine I have side effects of menopause but I tolerate those better than the side effects of hormones. I don't see any reason why you have to take HRT I know many other women that don't take it either. For me I am much worse on HRT than without it.
Avatar f tn I am in the same boat, turning 59 this January. My total hysterectomy was in the mid 1980s. I have cut down to four tablets about five years ago and for the past two years take three (M, W, F). Still unsure of way to go, but interested in knowing more.
778044 tn?1299542934 Has anyone used Premarin to help jump start their period? And if so, how long did it take? I am on it for 25 days (Premarin) and then starting the aygestin after the 16th day.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound, the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I was wondering why i should be given premarin? I have read that premarin is mainly estrogen.. Do i need to continuously use this product? They are waiting for me to bleed for them to be able to perform the D&C. Please advise asap...
Avatar m tn However it is not advisable to use too much of steroid creams as it has plenty of side effects like skin atrophy, skin thinning, telangiectasia, steroid induced rosacea or redness. Use it only as per the prescription and have regular follow ups with your child’s doctor. Also the best treatment of eczema is use of moisturizers which should be applied in a thin layer on the eczematous patch.
Avatar m tn I took the 1/2 pill with great caution as my mom took premarin for many years and ended up with breast cancer which eventually took her life 5 years ago). I have been tortured since stopping my premarin regime. I don't think I have had a full nights sleep since - in fact last evening the first wake up was at 3:38 and then I had 5 more flashes before I finally got out of bed and started my day with more flashes. My gen practioner has suggested prozac ... sorry but that seems a bit severe.
