Premarin and the sun

Common Questions and Answers about Premarin and the sun

premarin

Avatar n tn It has taken care of the flashes and sweats even better than the Premarin had, and unlike the Premarin, it has really helped with my mood swings, depression and other emotional issues. I did some research on the ingredients, and one of the herbs, Schinus Molle has been found to have natural anti-depressant qualities, which may explain why it has worked as well as it has in that regard. Apparently it doesn’t work the same for everyone (what does?
2176548 tn?1340677817 Anyone who has been on Lupron, Premarin and Medroxy ever experience sore breasts and increase in breast size? My boobs have gotten bigger and are like constantly sore!!! Hurts to take off my bra!! Please help!!!
405614 tn?1329144114 So, it could be not the Premarin, since I take that every month, and the premarin cream I've added isn't a large amount. Are you saying that it could be related to my period itself, and the placebo pills, even adding the Premarin? Hmm, but that's monthly, too. Or, it may be the sinus issue acting up again, or just something that can't be named.
778044 tn?1299542934 did the lupron shot help you? for me it worked for like 3 months... then the last month quit working... :( Im in constant pain and dont know where to go from here... I go see a endocronologist (sp?) on monday... hopefully he will be able to help me...
Avatar f tn I have cut down to four tablets about five years ago and for the past two years take three (M, W, F). Still unsure of way to go, but interested in knowing more.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound, the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I was wondering why i should be given premarin? I have read that premarin is mainly estrogen.. Do i need to continuously use this product? They are waiting for me to bleed for them to be able to perform the D&C. Please advise asap...
880900 tn?1467270141 m talking about and has put me back on Premarin, which is very expensive here. Can anyone tell me what the full name of CES is and/or where I can find more information about it? Thanks so much!
Avatar f tn The pain got much worse and I was not feeling myself so I stopped taking the premerin and opted to try a product I found on line called Amberen, so far that isnt doinganything for the hot flashes and night sweats at all but since stopping the premarin my legs are not bothering. I am taking calcium pills for my bones but I am truly worried for my health and want to find the best options for me.
Avatar m tn I took the 1/2 pill with great caution as my mom took premarin for many years and ended up with breast cancer which eventually took her life 5 years ago). I have been tortured since stopping my premarin regime. I don't think I have had a full nights sleep since - in fact last evening the first wake up was at 3:38 and then I had 5 more flashes before I finally got out of bed and started my day with more flashes. My gen practioner has suggested prozac ... sorry but that seems a bit severe.
Avatar f tn The doctor did a culture and blood test. The blood test came back positive for herpes (1 and 2 I believe) the culture came back negative. The doctor gave me premarin cream....which wasn't working. He then gave me a corticosteroid cream which worked but dried me out (had to use vaseline as well) every time I stopped using it, I would get itchy again and my lips would start getting dry, sometimes getting papercut like tears, and flaky.
Avatar f tn I suffer from Hashimotos autoimmune disease for many years and was diagnosed last year with Lupus after suffering many years with leukopenia which was caused by the Lupus or the Premarin. I took myself off of Premarin in July 2016 and I feel so much better. My hair is now growing back after losing about 3/4 of it during a Lupus flare-up that lasted over 7 months. My muscle aches are gone and my blood counts are now registering normal.
1343178 tn?1276214390 To know more it would be great if you could post your thyroid and other labs to see whats happening. Also the reasons for the hysterc. You must be in Chicago and I know of a terrific doctor there.
Avatar f tn He did not prescribe any type of progesterone for me to take but told me to go ahead and take the Premarin. Advised me that I should see a gyn--which I already did and they did not test my hormones at all. I have terrible hot flashes every day, insomnia, anxiety and mood changes. All of which I thought was monopause. I don't know what to do. I am so scared and confused. I had an echocardigram done and the cardiologist said there were some abnormalities.
Avatar n tn Can I use Premarin cream along with a yeast medication(Diflucan)? Does the moisture in the Premarin cream keep a yeast infection from healing?
Avatar f tn I was assured it was a small dose and not for a long enough time to be concerned. And the second pill was a progesterone ( sorry wrote the wrong pill type) to help return my AF. Yes we were using protection.....I am just paranoid. I am oversees and he thinks I should just wait an other week and come in ASAP when I return home.
691935 tn?1421027090 Well, that stinks. Sorry this is such a hard adjustment for you. Does your doctor have any supplementation ideas? You don't want cancer . . . so if the risk increases greatly, that is reason to get off the premarin but I'm sure your body is craving the hormone! Hope you are doing okay. Oh, and I have ringing and the sound issue in my ears from time to time. I have inner ear tube dysfunction. I've had it long before menopause and my hormonal issues.
Avatar n tn If the premarin cream causes a yeast infection should I stop useing it(the premarin cream) or keep useing it. I read somewhere that you should continue useing it to get rid of the yeast infection. I am a bit confused.
Avatar f tn Will premarin and hrt help with the anxiety that comes along with menopause? I cannot seem to get a straight answer from researching it on the net. I'm desperate for help.
Avatar f tn I agree with the above poster. Also, if it were me and my Dr recommended Premarin I would not take it.
Avatar n tn I have been reading about Premarin and it can likely cause the problem. I would like to get off Premarin and take a natural hormone replacement, or should I stay on the Premarin. What do you think about that and just how do I do that? I know I shouldn't just quit taking it suddenly.
Avatar f tn Thanks for responding. I have been on HRT, that's why I am seeking something alternative. HRT made me crazy..even on the lowest dosage. I foun d one bioidentical online that actually contained MSG as an ingredient and I am horribly sensitive to that, gives me migraines, which is also one of the lovely s/e of menopause. I will look up a reproducitve endocrinologist..thanks, didn't know where to turn!
Avatar f tn s gynaecologist and after few tests and sonographies it was detected that there were some granulomas on the outer part of the suturing which required quatrization which was done on 28/1/13. Dr. also recommended hormonal tablet and cream which is Premarin 0.625 and premarin cream for 6 months. Now I want to know whetherr there are any side effects to it and if any, what are they and what can i do? Please let me know, as I am a bit tensed.
Avatar f tn Welcome to the gastroenterology community! I would recommend going to the doctor and getting tested for food allergies. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Before Premarin I was having hot flashes, anxiety, and terrible insomnia. After the first few days of taking Premarin, I began to notice great improvement. My hot flashes went away and insomnia disappeared. I had a few bumps along the way but then everything balanced out. Now, the old symptoms have returned with a vengeance. My doctor increased it to the next higher dosage of 0.
Avatar f tn had a hysterectomy when I was 28 and have been on HRT since. My headaches are so bad lately..I have menopauseal symptoms really bad and all the drs did was up my premarin which isn't doing anything. I am at my end with the pain....Help!!!!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...I know if you use your pain meds to much you get rebounds but the pain won't let up. They won't operate as I have an autoimmune disease and they say it is too risky.
Avatar f tn Help... I had a hysterectomy when I was 38 and was put on premarin... I am now 48 and the Dr. took me off and put me on estrdiol... Its been a month and i feel like crap... I don't know if I should just try nothing for now.. I had a full hysterectomy.. I was good while I was on premarin.. Somebody please help...
471161 tn?1317190950 I too was told by my rheumy a year ago to stay out of the sun, when I was first diagnosed. I'm an outdoor person with a perpetual tan and never burn. I can always be found working in the yard, or in the pool in the summer. Last summer I stayed out of the sun from July on because of his warning. Recently I asked my PCP why I needed to stay out of the sun, what would happen if I didn't, etc?.
