Testosterone causes hair growth. I wonder if you could safely take that alone for hair growth? However, it could cause some facial hair. That would be something you need to weigh the pros and cons. I suffer from Hashimotos autoimmune disease for many years and was diagnosed last year with Lupus after suffering many years with leukopenia which was caused by the Lupus or the Premarin. I took myself off of Premarin in July 2016 and I feel so much better. My hair is now growing back after losing about 3/4 of it during a Lupus flare-up that lasted over 7 months. My muscle aches are gone and my blood counts are now registering normal.

I don't want to quote anything I've read, but after putting in "Premarin and Hypothyroidism" and "Progesterone and Hypothyroidism", the articles I've read indicate that Premarin prevents the thyroid from working properly, and Progesterone cream is beneficial. I just wanted to mention this because it may be of help. I am going to look into it further myself.

I too would suggest that you need to have your hrt reevaluated. I take a shot that contains two testosterones and one estrogen. I must tell you it makes you want sex all the time. There does have to be a good balance though, because too much testosterone can cause hair growth on places we don't want it.

So, it could be not the Premarin, since I take that every month, and the premarin cream I've added isn't a large amount. Are you saying that it could be related to my period itself, and the placebo pills, even adding the Premarin? Hmm, but that's monthly, too. Or, it may be the sinus issue acting up again, or just something that can't be named.

s because of your prenatal vitamins. They help hair and nail growth. And the idea about it being a boy because you have a lot of extra hair, could be true. I take my vitamins everyday and my hair doesn't grow its dry and awhful actually. And I don't even colour my hair. It's been over a year since I've coloured it. I too am bummed about this because I was looking forward to my hair finally growing. I chopped it all off a while ago.

I lost a probably about 45% but luckily it thinned all over. the only part I had to hide was a receding hair line in the front (Like my dad has) So I didn't put my hair up and just combed long hair over for a while. I have been done with treatment for a couple months now..and my hair, (while still thinned out) is a completely different texture then it was on treatment. Okay, so this is really embarassing but, I am sooo curious. Since Sept 2010, I've miscarried 4 times. Been getting some tests done and so far everything is normal But, for the last while (more so now which is why I'm asking) I've noticed hair growing on my stomach and a few on my breasts?
