Hi i wondered if anyone could explain there experience of Pregabalin (Lyrica?) i have been on Gabapentin for the last 3 months with only a little success (the twitches have reduced considerably) but no relief pain. Now the Dr is going to swap me to Pregabalin which has to be done slowly to switch from one to the other, so this will start as soon as I'm home from holiday. I wondered if anyone had done this and what there experience of the drugs are?

NOT FOR LONG...YOU MAY START OUT ONLY ON WEEKEND BUT IT WILL escalate. i used coke for 5 years heavily and i started out only on the weekends. before long it was everyday all day and every night all night. it is a horrible drug the eventually completely robs you of yourself.

I am, or should I say was, a recreational drug user. In the last two months I smoked pot regularly and took approx. 3 vicodin 10mg and 1 percocet 10mg to help with back pain from a car accident. i am on 185 mg of venalfaxine i have been on 50mg of pregabalin twice a day before that 25mg twice a day since 21st may feeling not to well tummy trouble and so weak how long will it take to work thankyou

Anyway just before we went, I had an dr. appointment. In short he is changing the Gabapentin to Pregabalin which he is asking my GP to over see when I'd returned from holiday. Also did a blood test for sarcoid, as I have had eye problems, he felt this was unlikley but wanted the test done. If that is negative he is refering me to a specialist for botox which will help the TN pain. So I have returned to find a letter from my GP to go and see him as soon as I return from holiday.

Hi I use Pregabalin at the moment along with Mirtazipine and find that it helps with my anxiety. I was prescribed it for panic attacks and insomnia at the moment I'm on the lowest dose of 50mg and when I don't take it I have big panic attacks and don't sleep. I just found out today that it is a popular bipolar treatment where I'm from.

I would be interested in hearing their symptoms, what they have done about the anxiety, and all the details. My anxiety was brought on by recreational drug use and while I am much better, I still have a little ways to go. Thanks.
