Avatar f tn bottom start to go into spasm, causing my legs to kick out. Its so sever that if prevents me from falling asleep. I am on tablets called Ropinerol they work to a point but the older I get the worse the spasms get. I would like to know if there is anyother treatment or operation that would stop it, as I dread the thourght of having this for the rest of my life, Im female 46 years old, have contemplated ways of causing the lower part of my body to be paralized so I wouldnt suffer any more.
Avatar n tn Please can one of the doctors help me. I desperately need sleep because I have been plagued by this horrible infliction for the past 2 months now. It can keep me awake most of the night & sleep only comes early morning when this funny horrible sensation subides. My doctor has offered me tablets called Pramipexole/Mirapexin but I understand they are a brain blocker & I only take them when I am absolutely desperate.
Avatar f tn m going to have to go through my supplements and meds. The only new med is the Pramipexole .05 twice a day (Mirapex). The supplements are Sam-E, D 2000, A and Magnesium 250 twice a day. I'm going to cut the Pramipexole to once a day. Does anyone see if any one of these would cause this or is there a virus going around?
Avatar f tn Yesterday my doctor prescribed me Mirapex Pramipexole Dihydrochloride tablets 0.125mg. I took two before bed and no RLS! I slept for 12 hours! BTW I'm down to one 10mg oxyneo and one 5mg oxtcocet. Staying like this for another day and than hitting ground zero tomorrow. Praying it won't be to bad, but with this new med for RLS I think I'm gong to be OK.
Avatar m tn Has anyone tried Pramipexole (Mirapex, Mirapexin, Sifrol) for chronic pain? I have had low back pain for about 15 years now. I finally got someone to do an MRI back in June (I think, it was slightly before summer 2016) and they found a herniated disc at L4-L5 and a degenerated disc at L5-S1. The neurosurgeon decided surgery wasn't worth the risk and pain treatment was the best option.
Avatar f tn Has anyone used a patch? The only med I take is pramipexole.
Avatar f tn That being said has anyone taken Nycynta ER? Anything regarding this medication would be very much appreciated.
Avatar m tn My husband is taking clonazepam .05, Lomtrigine 200 mg and pramipexole dihydrochloride 0.25 for depression, anxiety and RLS. He hasn't been able to get out of bed lately and has missed a lot of work. Could this excessive sleepiness be due to the combination of these drugs? It is not that he doesn't want to get out of bed, it's almost as if he is drugged, which led to my question. This is not normal.
492869 tn?1285018933 Due to the nature of salt tablets and the way that salt naturally interacts with the stomach you probably want find any Salt tablets that dont cause nausea. I have found the best thing to do is just add salt to everything. Little and often is absorbed a lot better than one big dose all in one go.
Avatar f tn My doctor wants me to take one tablet a day of Potassium ER 20. I need to crush it to take it as the pill is too large due to a lap band. I cannot take anything that has a fizz in it due to my lap band. The pharmacist said it was ok to crush it and my doctor knows that I need to do this. Is there something else out there for me to use? A liquid that doesn't fizz? Or is crushing this ok? I crush it then put it in my mouth then swish it down with water. I have not had any stomach issues.
Avatar f tn Hey everyone....I am weening off of Ultram and My doctor switched me over to MS contin ER. (Morphine Sulfate extended release.) Does anyone know anything about this drug? I've never even heard of it before. I switched over from the Ultam to the MS and I did not get any withdrawals. Now my doc is slowly decreasing my dose of MS. Avatar n tn I hav taken Effexor Hcl 150 mg generic called Venlafaxine HCL ER Capsules 150mg, for years. A new doc wrote for the same medication in tablet form by mistake instead of the caps. Will it work the same for me?
1475202 tn?1536270977 I recently relocated and went to my new doctor (general medicine) on Monday and she started me on Xanax extended release tablets instead of the pop them as you go type. I have never heard of them but she said it is the only type she will prescribe. I have always been concerned with being dependent on Xanax so the pop as you go idea worked well since some days I could get by without any (that’s been a while since I've had a lot going on) or on a really bad day never exceed more than 2mg.
Avatar n tn It might be restless leg syndrome. RLS is most likely to involve lower extremities but can involve other body parts as well. I got a bad case of it towards the end of my last tx, 48 weeks of triple tx with Incivek. The RLS hit me at about week 36 and continued until about a week after I quit the meds. My internist prescribed a small dose of Pramipexole (a Parkinson's drug) for it but I hated the way it made me feel.
Avatar m tn m using (Pramipexole) but I suffer a dizziness side effect. I need your help to use a medicine which have not such side effect. Thanks in advance.
Avatar m tn So in order avoid withdrawal and keep the same dosage regimen, I had to take 5 roxicodone 15mg tablets a day for those 6 days which sums up to 30 tablets. Now subtracting the 30 tablets from the 40 tablets I had at day 1 of the PA request, that leaves only 10 roxicodone tablets left until my next doc appointment 18 days away. I should note that I've never called my doctor ever in the past asking for extra medication before, as I've been the responsibile and model patient.

Avatar n tn Dopamine agonists such as ropinirole, pramipexole, carbidopa/levodopa or pergolide are used and you have to monitor these drugs. There are some issues with the use of dopamine agonists. There are conditions where the drug itself causes symptoms to increase in severity and/or occur earlier in the day. Monitoring the adverse effects of the drug and titrating a proper dosage is important for your daughter. Take care!
