Common Questions and Answers about Pramipexole and azilect

mirapex

Avatar f tn The last couple of days I've been REAL sick at my stomach and dizzy. I don't have any fever. I'm just wondering if it's a virus? If not I'm going to have to go through my supplements and meds. The only new med is the Pramipexole .05 twice a day (Mirapex). The supplements are Sam-E, D 2000, A and Magnesium 250 twice a day. I'm going to cut the Pramipexole to once a day. Does anyone see if any one of these would cause this or is there a virus going around?
Avatar m tn I have been reading positive things about Pramipexole helping with pain and was thinking about suggesting it to my doc to try in combo with my Hydro. I was just curious if anyone here has any experience with it or knows someone who has?
Avatar f tn Has anyone used a patch? The only med I take is pramipexole.
1192491 tn?1265031829 Currently, there is a generic available for Mirapex (Pramipexole) and it is made by TEVA pharmaceuticals. It comes in the 0.125mg, 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, and 1.5mg strength tablets.
Avatar m tn Diagnosing PD is really done visually. There are no definitive tests. The MRI would have been done to rule out any other abnormal condition, i.e. a stroke. No blood test shows a PD condition. I'm 59 years old and was diagnosed two years ago. It's also a good idea to seek out a second opinion from a movement disorder specialist. I was diagnosed, sought out a second opinion, and then moved on to a movement disorder specialist.
Avatar m tn My husband is taking clonazepam .05, Lomtrigine 200 mg and pramipexole dihydrochloride 0.25 for depression, anxiety and RLS. He hasn't been able to get out of bed lately and has missed a lot of work. Could this excessive sleepiness be due to the combination of these drugs? It is not that he doesn't want to get out of bed, it's almost as if he is drugged, which led to my question. This is not normal.
Avatar f tn s mum has got both MS (secondary progressive) and PD and she has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimers too. I don't know her personally so I can't tell you how she gets on day to day but I do know the MS & PD diagnosis came pretty close together.
Avatar f tn My son has a 5-6 mm hole in his heart and we get Eco every year, just because he is taking Concerta. So far, we were lucky and did not have to suspend taking it. If they say it - keep him off of it. I am sorry to say that.
Avatar n tn I'm sure hoping someone may be able to help me! I go to a cardiologist and my bloodwork - taken March 6 - showed ast at 74 and I think my alt was ok. I DO NOT DRINK AT ALL. Anyway, he asked about meds and I said no. Of course, when I got home, I remembered that i had bronchitis prior to my blood taken: 1. I took augmentin 500 mg. for 10 days - 2 X a day from Feb. 2- feb 12 2. I did some NYQUIL - probably 5 night's worth 3. I had taken approx. 10 tylenol p.m.
Avatar n tn I got a bad case of it towards the end of my last tx, 48 weeks of triple tx with Incivek. The RLS hit me at about week 36 and continued until about a week after I quit the meds. My internist prescribed a small dose of Pramipexole (a Parkinson's drug) for it but I hated the way it made me feel. Someone else on the forum suggested magnesium supplements and that worked great.
Avatar m tn I am a healthy 45-male. Non-smoker. In May I began having muscle fatigue in my lower legs... both of them. Within a couple of weeks it had spread to my arms as well. Not weakness and not really pain... just a rubbery feeling like I'd been working out for hours. I've been to my primary doc, a rheumatologist, and a neuro. I have had dozens of blood tests done... all mostly normal. My neuro did a nerve test on my legs and arms. All normal. I've had an MRI of my spine... nothing.
Avatar m tn m using (Pramipexole) but I suffer a dizziness side effect. I need your help to use a medicine which have not such side effect. Thanks in advance.
Avatar n tn I am a recovering alcoholic/addict. I have random urine drug screens and random blood screens for alcohol. Am wanting to take Tylenol sinus congestion medicine. The ingredients are acetaminophen, guaifenesin, and phenylephrine. Will any of those ingredients caus a positive drug or alcohol test?
Avatar f tn m down to one 10mg oxyneo and one 5mg oxtcocet. Staying like this for another day and than hitting ground zero tomorrow. Praying it won't be to bad, but with this new med for RLS I think I'm gong to be OK.
Avatar n tn She has been taking carbidopa/levadopa and had probably increased the amount she takes as she seems to have the leg and arm continuously. At the onset, she is suffering a lot of pain and discomfort. She is wondering if the arm problem has started because of the carbidopa. She has had to sleep on the floor because of her discomfort. Soma seems to relax her a bit. I guess my question is this. Is this all connected, arms and legs, or is it a symptom of something else.
230948 tn?1235844329 A that dopamine is a hormone/neurotransmitter lacking in pakinson patients and that sometimes it has been founf to be lacking in fibroymyalgia patients too and i know there are some wise people on here so thought i would pay a visit and see if i can get some info from somebody that might of tried it or knows someone who has.
Avatar n tn You could try to reduce stress and help in relaxing muscles with warm baths, gentle stretching exercises and massage. Low doses of pramipexole has been prescribed by some and found effective. If you have disrupted sleep you could be prescribed anti parkinsonism medicines tranquilisers etc. you may also require iron supplements if iron deficiency is the cause of this. You would need a neurologist’s consultation ideally. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn Certain of its side effects also like hyperalgesia or feeling exaggerated aches and pains and hallucinations of feeling things that are not there could be contributing to your hyper sensitivity to touch. The crawling sensation arises from you falling asleep on a particular limb, a nerve entrapment syndrome, stroke, encephalitis, transverse myelitis, and multiple sclerosis can all cause crawling sensations.
1840891 tn?1431547793 I just wanted to share something I recently learned about yet another possible side effect of interferon, and an effective treatment for it. A month or two ago I started developing a new sleep problem (in addition to the usual one of ribavirin causing more wakefulness, so that even when extremely sleepy from my usual dose of melatonin, I was kept awake by physical fidgeting, especially with leg movement.
1838963 tn?1318496884 Anti seizure drugs like gabapentin, pregabalin, dopamine agonists like pramipexole, ropinirole, and cyclobenzaprine can be used to relieve skeletal muscle spasms. Consult your neurologist for evaluation of symptoms and appropriate therapy. rule out connective tissue disorders like SLE, rheumatoid arthritis etc.Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar m tn I have nerve damage from herniated disk and have the same problem. I tried things like muscle relaxers and neurontin but they didn't work. Finally my doctor put me on gabitril and they finally stopped. It is a seizure medication. As far as your legs giving out my best guess would be the spasms are overworking them. I know I would wake up and feel like I ran the iron man marathon. I had even occasionally kicked my husband out of bed.
Avatar f tn Yes I've tried Hylands and some other otc stuff but it doesn't work. Believe me I don't want to undo my clean days and I'd rather take the pramipexole than the ambien. I do appreciate you guys looking out for me. I'm going to ask mommymarie what the name of that cream is.
15898092 tn?1443801134 My doctor prescribed me Pramipexole Dihydrochloride which helped a lot. Day 3 and 4 the pain set in and my tummy was upset. Day 5 and 6 were hell, tossing my cookies and dry heaving constantly. Day 7 I was much better and had enough energy to clean the house. Day 8 was bad because I over did it on day 7 and out my back out, but that was my own fault. I'm on day 9 now and I am feeling pretty good.
Avatar f tn t have Cushing), my TSH jumped from 0,80 to almost 4, which (I then thought) caused half of my hair to fell out and an extreme fatigue. I was (and still am) mentally and physically exhausted almost all the time, no matter how much or well I was sleeping (even though I have to admit, I lived with a noisy flat mate and neighbours in the past, so I developed a sleep related stress). Going on vacations or at home never helped me, it seemed that I was unable to fully relax.
Avatar f tn What happens when you are in sever pain and you call your doctor and he says to go to the emergency room. The emergency room doc gives you and injection and gives you a small number of a different med for breakthrough pain. He gave explicit instructions not to take both of the breakthrough meds. Is it safe to get the meds from the hospital filled since the pm doc sent me there? Or is that the unpardonable sin? HELP...
895871 tn?1241596077 My husband has started drinking nyquil to sleep before that he would toss and turn and not get enough rest. Our bed is not the issue and his work. I think hes substituting nyquil with alcohol and if thats the case what needs to be done. Is there any real serious side effects if he does not stop now its been 3 months.
Avatar m tn I had spinal fusion of the l2, l3, l4, l5 and s1 on June 13th, 2011. I am in constant pain now that ranges from a 6 to a 9. The pain that I have is in the lower right back, across the front of the right thigh area (up high in the hip area) spreads into the groin and then down the right leg to the knee cap. I also have what I refer to as "restless leg syndrome". This RLS as I call it comes on sometime shortly after I go to bed.
