Common Questions and Answers about Poulenc's sonata for piano

sonata

Avatar f tn Just something fun for the mammas to answer what type of music calms your baby?
Avatar m tn It all started when one day I played the piano and guitar for several hours. The following morning my wrist hurt and were going numb. I had no swelling. I waited a couple days, then when I thought I was ok I lifted some weights. I realized it wasn't better. School made it impossible for my wrists to recover. I tried playing the piano a week later, but they still hurt. For months I've been trying to let them recover, but they won't.
Avatar m tn It sounds more like the Sonata is causing this, unless this is something you've been taking for awhile, as these are common side effects of it. I doubt the B complex is causing the problem, but I wonder, when are taking it and when are you taking Sam-e?
Avatar m tn My last refill for percocet was 10/19 and 12/09 for ambien and that was my plastic surgeon. My surgeon refused to give me anything else. He told me to find a PCP and I did 12/17 but this FNP isn't addressing my pain/insomnia effectively. On 12/17/10 she wrote me a script for indocin and benadryl. This didn't work so on 12/23/10 she wrote a questionable or I'm not sure who wrote it for sonata, percocet, and dicflonac.
Avatar n tn I agree about talking to the doc. You might consider melatonin, though. It's OTC, safe, and works well for some people. I've been using that off-and-on throughout treatment. Go with the lowest OTC dose, though. It's a natural compound and if the body gets too much it just ignores the signal. Also, talk to your doc about Ambien (lasts roughly 8 hours) vs. Sonata (lasts about 2 hours).
Avatar n tn A monofocal lens does let you see well within a small range of distances, so if you were doing monovision, one eye being set for distance and one eye being set for near, you could set one eye at -1D, 1 diopter myopic, or perhaps 1.25D myopic, and that would likely let you see that sheet music well enough, with -1.5D being better but risking more trouble adapting to the monovision and reduction of stereopsis, 3D visual perception.
Avatar f tn The Z sleep meds, (Ambien & Sonata) can be hard to taper off due to their relatively short half life. Talk to your doctor about using a Dr Ashton style taper where you switch to valium & taper off that which should help minimize the side effects you experience. Your GABA receptors have become tolerant to these drugs & it won't get any better if you continue with them but you should be able to taper very slowly using valium without too much discomfort.
Avatar f tn Hey, I took Seroquel for yrs for my anxiety and it worked quite well. But finally stopped working, I guess I built up a tolerance. But it never put me out.
Avatar f tn I am 20 week's and a day and I was wondering does it matter what type if music you play for your baby while it's in the womb, like could I play soft country or Idk bluegrass? I've been told gospel is really good. Any suggestions?
220090 tn?1379167187 Ok...I've been thinking about this since I first read this thread. I have offered my living room as a "storage unit" for my friend's grand piano. There it sits.....for about a year now. Sounds like if I want to keep up with you two, I'm due for lessons. Part of my New Year's Rez: Piano lessons. We'll have to have a skype jam session. Wishing you both the best!!!
Avatar m tn Anyway I have been with this replaced doctor for a yr and a half, I had been explaining to him that 2 vicaprofen in a 24 hour period is not sufficient he by the way had taken me off the motrin and changed my Xanax to Ativan. I also have been on sonata 10 mg for all these yrs. I was given a urine test which is pretty normal, before I took it I told him that there would prob. not be hydrocodone in it as we had been discussing that I needed more pain relief.
7642836 tn?1410611040 If you eat dinner try to eat it at least 3hrs before bed so I can be digested and not bother your tummy. For me I put some low classical music, Christian music or just piano instrunentals and that relax me to the point where I fell asleep.
Avatar f tn I have a real problem with insomnia I went to the doctor last week and got Sonata for sleep and I asked for clonadine because I knew that I would be out of pills this week and would be having w/d sysptoms. He did not want to give me that he gave me klonapin instead.. I have not told him I have a problem with pills. The sonata is not working for my insomnia so I have made an another appt to see him this week to see if I can get the clonadine.
190885 tn?1333025891 I keep musical instruments in cooler room with slightly higher humidity. you may want a humidifier for the piano as well as yourself unless it is elec. you probably know this but they recomend wooden instruments stay around 55-60%.
Avatar m tn My attention span is very short. I always pay attention for five minutes then I zone out for a while. All my teachers recognizes my inability to focus in class. I cannot read at all. I always daydream when reading. I have to keep rereading a page. I reread, then I daydream again. My mood swings often. I get overly excited for some reason. I talk a lot, and too fast sometimes, and rush when I talk. Though, when I get home I do crash and go straight to sleep.
649848 tn?1534633700 Though this has been a week of accomplishing things at my mother's house, with not a lot more to do before we put it on the market, I obviously wasn't as frenetic as previously because I've gained one pound. That takes me out of the 5-lb. bracket that I consider to be the range where I've 'met my goal weight.' This means it's time to stop eating salty and sweet stuff! We did have a lot of snack food around this last week, I need to do a better job shopping.
Avatar f tn Have you tried Ambien or Sonata? I take Ambien (have been on it for about 4 years) - some nights it works well and others it's like I've taken a tic tac - but there are nights when nothing short of getting hit over the head with a hammer is going to help me sleep! I used to be on the CR version of the Ambien, until my insurance decided it wasn't going to cover that formula any longer, so now I'm back to the 10mg dose.
1960480 tn?1342315266 But recently I had horrible pains in what felt like my ovaries it was so bad I couldn't get comfortable so I took one of my prescription piano meds.. I was just wondering if I am pregnant will it of hurt the baby? I'm vowing not to take anymore and even tossed the rest just in case I am.. and also what would of caused the pain in my ovaries?
1580703 tn?1651904887 I started clonezepam for my sleep apnea, I twitch all the time in my leg/arm before I fall asleep and I seem to have slept well even without bipap once I felt this urge to write something and I started twitching like I had a seizure for a few minutes
Avatar f tn On Monday of last week as I was teaching a piano lesson, I hit my right elbow very hard on the edge of the piano. I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my elbow and as I reached over to rub the spot I felt a soft, spongy, round object begin to move inside my skin as my hand rubbed the painful area. The object seemed to have come (in my mind) from the tip of my elbow but I really don't know what it was.
Avatar n tn my dr just put me on sonata for sleep and i am being treated for add w/ritalin,lamictal for bpd, wellbrutrin depression, and nerourotin for nerve pain and a few days ago i started grinding my teeth together, looks like i am chewing gum all the time and i also am making grunting sounds.
293845 tn?1227997530 When I was pregnant with my now 4 year old son I listened to Praise and Worship Music EVERY morning. Once he was born we had music we played in his room while he slept. I know they say music makes them smart...my son is very smart with an IQ of 135 I don't know if it's because he listened to music so much or not. However he really hates music. LOL it's quite humorous. If I try and play music in the car he will always tell me he doesn't like it and wants me to turn it off.
