Avatar m tn Recently, I tried a potassium gluconate supplement. I experienced rapid and dramatic reduction in all of my symptoms. This effect has been repeatable for 2 months. If I stop the supplementation, the symptoms return within a day. Severe, chronic symptoms improved: • Asthma and respiratory issues. • Nasal congestion. • Constipation. • Headaches. • Muscle cramping, weakness and pain. • Insomnia. • Palpitations. I’ve also suffered from unexplained osteoporosis since my twenties.

Hope this helps. Take care.

Avatar n tn Potassium and Calcium and important electrolytes in muscles. Potassium is one of those electrolytes you dont really want to be messed up in your body. High potassium levels can cause heart dysrrhythmias, since your heart is a big muscle, Other signs of hyperkalemia(increased potassium) are nausea vomitting, restlessness, irritability, I am looking in my book right now to make sure i can give you the most accurate information. Chloride there is not much on.
757137 tn?1347196453 you might just try eating one banana a day. That might help both your potassium levels and your hypoglycemia, as you say both are mild problems. And you might try supporting your adrenals with adaptogens such as eleuthero and ashwaganda. For exact potassium levels, that's hard, because potassium is a nutrient one has to be careful about -- you don't want too much, don't want too little. You might look into an electrolyte supplement -- and I don't mean Gator Aid!

941118 tn?1312281926 Someone mentioned taking Natural Calm, a magnesium supplement. Has anyone had success using it? I am desperate to feel better. How long did it take to get into your system for it to work? I think my terrible bout of pvcs foolishly started a week ago Sunday when I drank some homemade alcohol concoction that a neighbor made. I am a one drink per month person, but I got caught up in the holiday moment and had two drinks.
Avatar f tn Whenever taking a "water pill" and potassium supplement, one should always make sure to drink plenty of water, in order to prevent dehydration. Not all salt is potassium.... major electrolytes in the body are sodium, chloride, potassium, magnesium (all various forms of salt)...... they must all be in balance and each have their own symptoms of deficiency, which can also overlap.
Avatar m tn Could be many things. Neither supplement is very good -- lots of additives you don't want, sugars, artificial ingredients, minerals in the wrong form to be well absorbed.
Avatar m tn m wondering if you can or can not use something like Lo Salt that has potassium chloride in it along with beta blockers, and if so how much is recommended. I'm looking to substitute lo salt for some other high in potassium foods in order to cut down on my sugar content.
