1056589 tn?1273747102 We have had such an unusual winter. It's been fairly decent at least for Feb. We've missed the big storms and it feels like spring. Imagine 40º in Maine in Feb! Our veggie garden is out in the field behind the house and I find myself thinking about planting already. My husband is taking a master gardeners course and that's been exciting. I had been thinking about doing that but then had to laugh..me who has trouble, somedays, remembering where I put my glasses.
168348 tn?1379357075 I have two containers of tulips that I got for Easter. Now that they are done blooming as indoor flowers in their original container, how and what do I do with them to be able to plant them as bulbs to bloom next year. I am clueless. Anybody have any ideas ... as of today, all the petals have fallen off.
620923 tn?1452915648 Looking forward to growing some flowers and doing some gardening. I think I might just walk through dome green houses when I'm up and about- good therapy..
784382 tn?1376931040 flowers that look so real, they have not been questions. I will be planting real flowers, but when I come back from my trip to vegas next month. Also, Happy Heavenly Birthday to your precious grandma, may God keep her in His tender care. Hugs!
Avatar n tn have you been doing any yard work lately?? Are you, predominately, right handed? After raking and planting my gardens and flowers, I had the same issue. Pain in my right armpit...thought it was some kind of mass...as there was a bulge too. BUT...found out it was the muscle, overworked and inflammed and sore. Take a break...apply cold compresses (if you can stand it) and massage the area. Best wishes!!!
Avatar f tn I've tried planting flowers and gardens but it never works.
1972798 tn?1355549267 ) My husband and I went after church and picked out some flowers for my hanging baskets. It was so fun planting them and being out in the sun. We also got veggies for my garden so I can plant those this week. Im excited for next weekend to be able to put in a patio under our tree :) It will be lots of work but we are moving a bunch of slate to crate a little seating area. Just nice to have some warm weather finally to be out in and get a little sun.
196469 tn?1365387975 Lance .. I am so sorry for your loss. It would so nice if the family and friends of fallen OVCA women could have a site to share their grief and the memories. Heidi .. what a wonderful caring and selfless act. May God bless you in your efforts and may I say "thank you" for those who can't speak. I may try a small version .. don't have much available planting space.
209384 tn?1231168306 I buy myself fresh flowers a lot. I love carnations and they last for over 2 weeks at a time. So that is nice. I have done flower beds at other places I have lived and love doing it. I also want a garden one day!!
1105753 tn?1374287348 ( Hopefully in a couple of weeks though, which would be pretty good timing. Do you grow vegetables or flowers? I love to grow my own food, but I have flowers also. I can't wait for warm weather!
1623704 tn?1300452745 lots of perennials in my front and back yard. I keep all the annuals in pots, so I can bring them in for the winter, except the mammoth elephant ears. Those, I pull the bulbs and replant each year out side. I also love herbs, tomatoes. This year will also have bell peppers and spinich. I am not good with flowering plants, but will try again this year.
304653 tn?1217001302 outside stuff, like yardwork and planting. feels good to get outside. i go for u/s this morning to check on the baby. she's been very active today. guess she knows she's getting her picture taken!
Avatar f tn The second is along the side of my house where the sun hits it almost all day- I want to do a memorial garden for the babies I have miscarried. I can post pictures, probably on my blog, if anyone wants to "get their hands dirty" and help me build a pretty garden. Perennials only, though. I shudder to think of gardening every season. I'm talking EASY planting here until I get confident enough to branch out to new stuff.
675718 tn?1530033033 t love the digging anymore...spent lots of time bending over while doing the planting, etc....not the best way to do it!!! However....the plants were sure pretty to look at. I spent lots of $ one year going to nurserys for hibiscus plants, poppies (giant ones) and russian sage's,and other things I couldn't pronounce. They are all gone now :-((( I was tempted to let my whole yard be full of flowers....wildflowers! Oh well....I can admire other gardens & the photo's!!!
Avatar f tn And the flowers blooming, and planting another veggie garden. ALways do a veggie garden every year! My kids love to help w/ the garden- all stages of it. Im also looking forward to going out and playing w/ my boys in the yard without having to bundle them up in snowpants bibs, coats, hats, mittens, boots and changing them constantly cuz they get soaking wet from snow!! Yep, Im officiallly read for spring here, too! You wont catch me wishing for anymore snowstorms!
Avatar f tn I personally pray every single day, several times a day. I pray for others and especially for myself to heal of this severe pain.
Avatar n tn I have four dogs and all of them have been itching like crazy, generally at the base of their tails (low back). I have a 10 month on pit bull/great dane mix who's been the worse. He's starting to have bloody patches that are turning into baldspots. Over the last week he's also had quarter size bumbs/welts ALL over his body. Like I said, all four are itching right above their tales CONSTANTLY but..the pit/dane is showing the most symptoms.
Avatar f tn My bf ddnt give me cards or flowers but he has given me what i have been waiting for forever. My little boy thts due in two months. He also cooks for me anytime im hungry puts up with all my crazy hormones and all my weird habits. Sometimes i forget tht weve been together for almost four years. Avatar n tn I suggest you call your doctors office for his/her suggestions since he/she knows your medical history. Here are two options you can run by your doctor: Option 1 Start adjusting the difference in time zones a week or so ahead of travel so when you arrive at your destination you would be on your home time schedule. For example, plus 3 hrs, you would start ½ hour earlier each day for 6 days prior to leaving. When you reach your destination you would be on the same time schedule as before.
1801781 tn?1461629469 I took them to stay mellow and not deal with life. Well, I guess life is gonna have to get ready for me, cause I am gonna take another look at it. I just wanted to post...I hope I can help and I hope I can be there for others as they have been for me! I want to thank those that have walked this walk with me and hope I can continue to grow and become the person I once was..only better!!!!!
Avatar m tn I was just wondering with the current economic conditions who is planting a garden this year? If you are what are you planting and how many will it feed and for how long? If you are not, why not? I would really like to hear from both sides on this one. My family always had a garden when I was growing up and my Mom and Grandmas would can and/or freeze veggies. These would last us almost a year and cut the cost down considerably.
167426 tn?1254086235 I will plant Lamb's Ear. The leaves are so soft and inviting. They aren't known for their flowers, but are better used as fillers to support the more showy flowers...just as Jan supports all of us. No matter what kind of weather or hardship, Lamb's Ear is always there, whether sitting quietly in the background, or as a border surrounding the entire garden.
Avatar m tn ve been to the ER twice these last 6 months with full blown panic attacks but thought I was having a heart attack. I just started planting flowers and every time I would squat then stand my heart would race and I'd get a little dizzy and it only lasts for a few seconds but it repeats itself ever time I squat and I'm not getting very far in planting my flowers! I have had EKG's, XRays, blood work and wore the heart monitor and all comes out normal.
1903798 tn?1333905288 Sure I went to school for it and worked as a florist for over 23 yrs...I'll take questions...lol....
368461 tn?1291515587 Yesterday I was planting flowers and I put Blake in her vibrating chair (I took the activity bar off) and put her on the porch in the shade. She LOVED it. She loved looking around at everything outside and when the wind would blow she would giggle and open her mouth..haha. I recommend trying it if you haven't yet!
