The researchers randomly assigned participants to one of three treatments — vitamin E, pioglitazone or a placebo capsule — taken daily for nearly two years. Each volunteer underwent a liver biopsy at the beginning and end of the trial.
Biopsies revealed that 43 percent of the vitamin E group showed substantial improvement, based on a composite score of liver tissue characteristics, as did 34 percent of people receiving pioglitazone and 19 percent of those on placebo.

After an average follow up of eight years, nearly 2,000 men had been diagnosed with cancer. About half of those diagnoses were for prostate cancer.
The researchers found that a diagnosis of prostate cancer or cancer in general was just as common among people taking vitamin E or C as it was among those taking a placebo.

I red the article. I can see now that taking Vitamin E, Vitamin C and Selenium for a long time was a mistake.
Perhaps this is why my PCR jumped from 1.000.000 to 17.000.000 in 3 months.
On 15 of January I'm going to begin the second treatment with Interferon, Rib.and Boceprevir. (the first time I was on placebo) It will be good if I could begin the treatment with a lower viral load. If the virus is still detectable,after 4 months of treatment, I will be taken off the treatment.

The Vitamin E overdose effect occurs when more than 1,000mg of Vitamin E is taken per day. Acute vitamin E toxicity effects include nausea, gastric distress, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, headache, fatigue, easy bruising and bleeding, inhibition of platelet aggregation, diplopia, muscle weakness, and creatinuria.

I have no problem going on Celexa or some other SSRI if that is what it takes to not feel anxiety and all the physical symptoms that go with it, but is it possible for SAM-E to work so quickly? Could this be a placebo effect? I am curious what other people have experienced using SAM-E. I take one pill in the morning and it is 400 mg. I was thinking about taking one in the morning and one at night, but I want to know what experienced users have done.
