i was taking 400 twice daily and had a very minor breakout. I was under the impression that 800 mg twice daily was the treatment during an outbreak. So why not take 800 mg twice daily for suppression? Wouldn't it be more effective than 400 mg twice daily? If not at least I would already have the recommended dose to treat outbreaks on hand. My main question is there any negatives to taking 800 mg twice daily regularly for suppression?

If not a dose around 16mgs should hold a gram a day or any severity of addiction to heroin. Is the pitting edema progressive? Are you on pioglitazone? or rosiglitazone? Answers to these questions would further help.

ve tested various doses of TDF during trials before releasing it but no data published and available from them on effect of different dosing..
Planning on reducing current daily dose of TDF 300mg to 150mg daily or to 300mg every other day in an attempt to lower the possible damage kidneys and to slow down damage to bones (osteoporosis started), and perhaps less chance for lactic acidosis.

It sounds like your wife will definitely need an additional medication--if not restarting the Pioglitazone, then an alternative. There are lots of different diabetes medications available that will help. Those glucose levels are indeed too high and should be addressed soon. Please ask your wife to contact her doctor as soon as possible(I suggest within the next 2 days a most) and discuss being started on another medication to bring her levels down.
