Melcyl cream contains methoxsalen which is used for lip vitiligo and psoriasis while pimecrolimus also is used for treatment of vitiligo. Methoxsalen modifies the way skin cells receive the UVA radiation, allegedly clearing up the disease. Pimecrolimus is Immunomodulator that suppresses the immune system where applied, allowing the melanocytes to return.
Your doctor must be suspecting vitiligo for which you have been prescribed this treatment.
Vitiligo is a very stubborn condition.
The skin gets extremely red when I scrub it to remove the flakes. Is this area afected by psoriasis or it this dermatitis seborrheic or other condition. It is so embarrassing especially that I work around a lot of people. Cortizone creams help me while I apply them, but as soon as I stop, the condition flares up.

This is for my mother. She has such severe dry deep cracked feet, that they swell to a degree she is often in a wheel chair for extended periods of time. The pain is unbearable for her. SHe has seen several dermatologists and an immunologist. Has been tested for Lupus and other auto immune disorders all were negative. The dr's give her creams that don't help for more than a few days then they flair up again worse than time before.

I have not had much luck with my skin starting since I was about 19, when I was diagnosed with psoriasis. No doubt I have that but now they say I have either Eczema or a Fungus. My dermatologist at the TTU medical center say Eczema and the Allergist I went to says it's a fungus. Here are some of the symptoms to my problems. First of all it can either be a clutter of little bumps or just one little bump but no matter what they itch like crazy.
I have not felt well since and to top it all I have just been diagnosed with psoriasis which I know to be HIV related esp in men my age with no history of it. I have had several negative hiv tests how many coincidences and pointers to HIV can there be? Can anyone suggest a doctor or lab that can test for genetic variants ? Also I'd appreciate hearing from anyone in a similar position ?
Now, two years after my unprotected exposure I got psoriasis. Balanitis still here, swollen lymph nodes still here, seborrheic dermatitis which flared up a couple of months after exposure, all different kind of rashes, weakness in the whole body... Thinking about taking another test. I cannot believe this, I really got psoriasis. It should be a really big coincidence that those symptoms are not related with my exposure.

My son has psoriasis and his body is in bad shape. Every X months he gets medication and during that period his skin is in better shape but as soon as he must stop it, it gets worse. Isn't there any complementary help ? Or eventually homeopatic aid ?

I have psoriasis in between my thighs and have put cream on it and now what's left is just the discolored skin.. I was wondering how long it it will take or at all is the discolored skin going to disappear because it's been like a a month and a half. is the discolored skin going to go away?
