phentermine

Avatar n tn My body aches and im tired alot and i have been taking phentermine to help loose weight but i lost 10lbs and thats all.
Avatar n tn re not in the business to make you happy and just cause the weight loss they want to make tons of money and not provide every prescription one asked for I know the best thing to do is to find a good physician with a license allowing the physician or nurse practitioner license to write prescriptions for didrex and Phentermine most of the Physicians are licensed and nurse practitioners to write those prescriptions not every position nurse practitioner is license to write prescriptions for those me
494656 tn?1209640771 anybody know of any physician in Maryland or WV who prescribe Phentermine?
Avatar n tn i take 125mcg synthroid and take 37.5 pill of phentermine. lately been getting heart palpitations and anxiety attacks does that make sense?
Avatar n tn I recently also started phentermine 37.5, and have been doing fine with it as far as palps and tachycardia. I still have them from time to time like I normally do but there hasnt been any drastic change with the phentermine on board. Thats not to say that you wont though. I chose to take the chance and try it to lose some weight. My best advice to you is to talk about this with your doctor and be supervised.
Avatar f tn 1) Follow a healthy diet 2) Exercise regularly and 3) Close monitoring by a physician, at least monthly. I feel that with the proper diet and exercise you can lose the weight on your own. I took Phentermine to lose the first 30 lbs, but after changes in my lifestyle I lost the last 20 lbs with no help at all. To answer your question about the dose, it is fine for your weight. I hope this is helpful to you. Tracking your meals and exercise is a great way to monitor your weight.
Avatar f tn You are going to cause yourself to have heart problems do to the excessive amount of caffeine. Its bad enough that you run the risk of heart problems with Phentermine but adding energy drinks to that just adds to the risk. I took Phentermine for a while. I never drank energy drinks because I cant stand them but I now have heart problems because of the Phentermine.
737114 tn?1232035410 I have been taking phentermine on and off for almost 15 years, I have never needed it for weight loss only the amazing energy it gave me, I know it is a little late to decide they probably are doing my health no good at all but hey, better late than never. I have tried hundreds of times to stop taking them but the chronic fatigue I get keeps me going back.
Avatar f tn I would suggest perhaps having a conversation with your pharmacist and your prescribing physician about any symptoms that might be attributed to taking this medication. Best of luck in this regard and please be sure to visit our community and update us as to how you are feeling.
Avatar f tn Am I on the right track with this with wanting to request trying Phentermine in combination with mt Metformin? Is there something else that I need to be considering?
Avatar f tn Does anyone here have experience with Phentermine? My doctor let me talk him into it for weight loss last June. It's supposed to be only taken for 8-12 weeks, but since I've kept losing weight and my blood pressure stays low, he's kept refilling my prescription. I take 37.5 mg once a day. I know this drug is a stimulant, etc. and it can become addictive. Every once in a while-- like today-- I don't take it, just to see if *not* taking it bugs me.
Avatar f tn So, I went to a local weight loss clinic and got my phentermine 37.5 mg from a real board certified physician with excellent credentials. This weight loss clinic is great because they have a complete program that not only helps you with losing the weight with the meds, but it also includes a healthy diet program, exercise program and weight maintenance program for when you reach your goal. All I can say is that I have had nothing but great results with phentermine 37.5 mg!!!
Avatar n tn Am so sorry you have been struggling with weight for so long but, most respectfully, would suggest that phentermine is not the route to take. I, too, struggled with weight for many, many years. Perhaps you will allow me to share with you what I learned. Weight loss is attainable but there is not a pill or a shot that is going to fix it for us. If there were, everyone who have taken it and obesity would not be prevalent in our society.
Avatar n tn m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with chronic constipation over a year and 1/2 ago, lactose intolerant, malfunctioning gall bladder and not enough inertia in my colon to move matter through it properly. I was taking 13-15 laxatives a day with little to no relief, and definitely no weight loss. The last 2 months, my doctor put me on phentermine. I went in today for my rx renewal and I have not lost 1 pound. She feels the constipation is why, but I do not.
Avatar m tn Waiting for an appointment now with a Dr. in town who has had a lot of experience with new drugs for Hep C. Sounds like I may be doing he 3 pill regiment. Prob gonna start beginning of Sept. I am asymptomatic, but my blood values are all out of whack. My primary doc told me that even tho I am asymptomatic, when IT hits me, I'm going down fast-that's why I seeked tx. I'm only 63 y.o.; I have too many things to do yet. I'm in great shape (work-out 3x a week) 155 lbs.
Avatar f tn lost 4lbs, ate one good meal, and gained it back all in one day. I was down to salads and water, with no results what so ever. It also makes me very, very sleepy. I need to lose the weight, but nothing working.. any comments anyone has would be greatly appreciated!
Avatar f tn Then in 2007 I became pregnant and regained all of my weight back during my pregnancy. After having my son I was diagnosed with pcos. Since having my son I have lost a total of 70 lbs and now can not lose anymore weight no matter how little I eat. I feel like I absolutely do not need another adjustment. I have been at this stand still for 6 months now. I am wondering can my pcos have anything to do with my weight loss difficulties.
551496 tn?1215614366 I had no problems with the phentermine at all. BUT, for the last few months I have been experiencing alot of lower left side pain. In July I only spotted for 3-4 days and haven't had my period since. I went for an MRI and the Dr. said they THINK it's Adenomyosis or something of that sort. I think he's full of bologna cause I looked up the syptoms and I have never had a bad period or pain like I'm having now. I honestly think the phentermine is a coincindence and not causing it.
568877 tn?1216822048 I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. For about a month now I have been having Anxiety attacks and Depression really bad. I fought out I shouldn't take Phentermine if I have Anxiety or Depression. So I was going to get back on my meds. that I used to take which was Welbrutain XL and Xanxa .
397118 tn?1219762250 Phentermine should only be taken by obese people with no other health problems. I can't imagine a doctor prescribing it to someone on antidepressants. If you are taking Sub also, I think it is out of the question.
481269 tn?1208280771 THANK YOU NIKKI BEAR! WE HAVE A PARTY ON SAT, AND I WAS NOT TOO SURE ABOUT THAT... BUT YEAH, I CAN WAIT ON THE DRINKS! LOL :) THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE ADVICE !
Avatar f tn Usually low, key, happy person. Was diagnosed with Hypothyrodism 2 1/2 yrs ago. In August 2010, finally got my levels to be within normal limits. Was starting to feel better, but Dr. gave me generic Wellbutrin (125) because i couldn't stop crying. Felt like I was starting to go crazy. Went back in Dec 2010 and labs showed that my thyroid levels were completely out of whack. Dr. increased my levoxyl to 125 and generic Wellbutin to 300.

579324 tn?1276054274 you see your heart is beating really fast and that is something that i had when i had the hyperactive thyroid. normally i would have no problem taking something like phentermine, though i my circumstance, where the hyperactivity is gone and i still have my thyroid, i wouldn't want the phentermine to spark another incidence, i don't know that much yet about the recurrence of hyperactivity and if it could happen at all. thanks for sharing, it is giving me hope.
