I started having nausea, on Tuesday, which was somewhat relieved by vomiting Tuesday evening. However, I have continued having nausea every day since then which begins in the morning and lasts all day, whether or not I eat. Some days I have vomited others I haven't. I do get more nauseous when standing and even more nauseous the longer I stand in one place, which also makes me light headed & increases my headache pain. I went to my doctor Friday.
I can't comment on the thyroid concerning med's at all.
I do know that you should be questioning the phentermine though. I take BP med's for my blood pressure and went on phentermine ~1 1/2 years ago to loose weight as a last choice thing. I took 1/2 doses due to the incline in my BP and was having chest pains. I did loose 51 pounds in 6 months in which was great, plus full of energy while on it. Though in the last year it has all came back, plus now my energy level has sunk.
Hi, Annie. The phentermine that you started taking shortly before the chest pain arrived is known to possibly cause Pulmonary Hypertension, and PH can cause chest pain. There might be more serious consequences down the line.
At a minimum, I would stop taking that immediately and see if you improve. Or you can call the prescriber and see what they say - unless you got it OTC. Are you aware of what happened with "fen-phen" years ago?
t take it anymore. The pain was radiating from dull to severe, I thought it was chest pains and that I was having a heart attack, a few hours at the ER and the result was acid reflux. I went home feeling better and happy it was over with, then two nights later I woke up at the same time 3am. Sharp stabbing pain, it felt like I had just been stabbed, the pain is so bad that I would rather give birth naturally with no meds all over again.

33f, DM 2, Been taking Metformin XR 500mg 2 pills x2 a day. Started phentermine after trying invonkana, and trulicity to bring my a1c down. Mid January 2017 I started the phentermine. Towards the end of February 2017 I had ketones in my urine and was in ketosis. I was excercisin religiously and watching my carb intake.i was eating between 100 to 150gms of carbs. Back in June this year (2010), I started taking Phentermine for weight loss. About a week into the treatment I had an intensely itchy hive wheal on my right hand and also itchy skin on the backs of my legs just under my buttocks. I thought it could have been a dust allergy because I know I'm allergic to dust, among many other things. I went off the Phentermine, and the wheal never went away, but it didn't bother me too much either.
I have piercing chest pains around my left bra line, sharp stabbing pain when I take a deep breath that radiates to my neck, left shoulder and left arm. The longest these chest pains ever last in 15 minutes but usually not more than 5 minutes. I have had countless EKG’s, echos, etc; and the only thing found is a mitrol valve prolapse. The chest pains are scary. Otherwise, I am in great physical shape.
Sorry you relapsed but I'm confused. You used Phentermine for pain???Phentermine is a synthetic amphetamine. It doesn't do anything for pain. Also you don't have to taper. It is not physically addicting...only psychologically addicting.... Throw them out and you will be tired and depressed for a few days. These are really bad for your physical and mental health so hope you can stop taking them. God bless.
I am about 30-40 lbs overweight and some of my friends and co-workers have been doing the medical weight loss with the B-12 shots and Phentermine pills. I am so scared to take the pills because I am terrified about my heart. I feel I don't have a lot of options because due to constantly being depressed and having anxiety about the skipped beats I eat to make myself feel better. I know it's the easy way out but I would love to do it and get the weight off.
m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
I started taking Phentermine 37.5MG right before Christmas day 2010 and by December 26th, I started having problems with my left side and by December 28th my left side went completely numb and pain started shooting all over my head. By December 31st I was in the ER. I had all types of blood tests ran and a CAT Scan. I am now going through massage therapy to help with the tightness and swelling. My left side is still swollen and no DR's have been able to determine the cause.

Phentermine can alter your blood sugar levels, if you are going to try using it please use it with caution and monitor your blood sugar levels more frequently... if you notice changes and if your blood sugars are becoming too low then stop taking phentermine, and seek further advice about what you could use instead of phentermine. Remember that diabetes should be your priority.

I'm on 30mg phentermine. ive been taking it for 3 weeks now. lost 4lbs, ate one good meal, and gained it back all in one day. I was down to salads and water, with no results what so ever. It also makes me very, very sleepy. I need to lose the weight, but nothing working.. any comments anyone has would be greatly appreciated!
I took Phentermine for 2 years in my youth.lol They have not banned Phentermine, they banned Phen/Fen. They took the second part of the diet cocktail off the market because it was causing heart damage. I used to take it for energy, cuz I was a shallow work out freak. When I stopped taking it, the only withdrawal I had was zero energy. Because you are not taking speed anymore. You wont get sick. But it will take you time to get your real energy back. The big problem you have now is the xanax.
I decided to go to a local Weight Loss Clinic because I had already exhausted my options, and they prescribed 30mg of Phentermine as an appetite suppressant.
I didn't really realize the risk of dependency or how powerful this drug could be. I went from 150 lbs to 140 lbs in about a month and have stayed there, although that isn't my ideal weight. However, I didn't want to become addicited or reliant on a Rx.
I have been taking Phentermine for about a week and I have a lot of red, ichy bumps (they look and are symptomic as mosquito bites generally behave). If I didn't know better I would think they were mosquito bites! They are contained on my torso, sides and back - these presented after about 3 days on Phentermine, and I cannot belive that I would end up with 30+ mosquito bites in one day - they all appeared overnight. Can this be a reaction to the Phentermine?
