Things worsened and I went to a urgent care. I tested negative for Strep and Mono. I ended up having a peritonsillar abscess. This had to be drained and my fever immediately dropped after. The ENT tested the puss and it came back negative. Negative for what? I have no idea, I never asked.
Since then I have been mainly had intermittent leg soreness and fatigue, but it is real random when it happens.
What I am more concerned about is my oral sores.

I feel way much better. No pain, no fevers, etc. The abscess is really small, like dots. I asked if it was contagious when I was there and the person I asked told me "as long as you're getting better, it shouldn't be contagious". I was also wondering can I kiss anybody now that I've been on antibiotics for 10 days? I would like to hear from other people. Thank you in advance.
If it is a sharp, shooting pain it could be sciatica. That is where your sciatic nerve is.

My story started backApril2014 (age 51) woke up, dizzy, nauseous, and quickly went back to sleep. Within a few hours, woke up and started throwing up. Immediately sought treatment, testing, MRI, cardiologist, neurologist, you name it. Diagnosis SSDHS with 24/7 tinnitus.

Was given Penicillin V for 10 days. I finished the course but the infection wasn't cleared and after a week was given another 10 day course. By day 8 I had lost my remaining capsules to finish the course but was told by a nurse I didn't need it since all was normal. Two days later my infection got worse.

So here's the situation...

So I called a doc and they told me that i can make a schedule after 3 weeks as I have a quinsy. I had a whitish tonsil even before but did get symptoms shortly few hours later after my oral escapade (so from wednesday eve to thursday).

They are the same colour as my tongue or a little paler and of varying sizes.
Should I be worried? I'm not sure what these are!
Don't panic yet, it can be hard to see well so early on. If the due date is not totally accurate you could be even earlier on than you think.
Hi, I have a small hole on each side of my ear and the one on my right ear is the active one that secretes white stuff that smell pretty bad. So I watched a video on youtube about preauricular sinus infection and I learned that it could lead to the formation of abscess. When I was young, I didn't know what the hole was and I often got very irritated with it when it had secretions.
Any Ideas on what it might be? Sinus infection? post nasal drip? (I have allergies), peritonsillar infection or something else?
My ENT said that it has a more painful recovery but is the BEST procedure to get the full tonsil out and to prevent post-op bleeding. I had a peritonsillar abscess a couple of weeks ago and have been told that once you get one they keep on coming back...with avengence. I also suffer from chronic tonsillitis.
Just had my third surgery due to abscess about a month and a half ago, and for the past few weeks have had this strange pain. Any pain that seems to be in the area of the rectum, makes me leary of abscesses, but this is different. The pain is in the left gluteus, into the bend of my hip, as well as the rectum. Seems that sitting worsens things, and I have been trying to sit/lie to my right to accomodate, but the pain never entirely goes away.
My dog Bella had an abscess removed from her shoulder on Friday, with a penrose drain placed on her leg. The vet told me to flush the drain twice a day with diluted peroxide, however I'm reading online that peroxide is a bad idea. The vet is closed since it is Sunday so I cannot call her until tomorrow. Any suggestions on how I should be caring for the drain until it's removed on Wednesday?
