will gabapentin help with percocet withdrawals. I have been taking perks for about 2 months and I ran out of them and don't want to buy them off the street. I want to detox from them but I can't stand the withdrawals and was told that gabapentin will help with the withdrawals. how true is this?
i have been taking percocet 15mg for about 3 years and there are many times when i wished i didnt have to take this. Its not neccesarily effecting my way of living but im worried about how long i need to be on this. I have terrible back issues and these are the only meds that allow me to go about my day. when someone is on pain meds for that long is it possible to just detox or am i possibly looking at suboxin because i do look forward to the day that im 100% clean free and clear all the way.
I have been buying suboxone off the street and take one 8 mg strip a day. I am on day 8 of. Withdraws and took one percocet 10 milligrams because I feel like I am going to pass out. I can't stand without falling down puking can't eat diareha nausea. I did not want to take percocet but I have my son her who is little and I have to get out of bed today I have no help so any advice...
My husband has an addiction to percocet and moraphine- he is perscribed these two medications from a doctor. He knows he has an addiction but refuses to believe it is as bad as i think it is. Anyway he takes 2 100mg of moraphine a day is this alot? And then when he gets his perscriptions they are for 30 days at a time- he immediately takes all the percocet (120 of them) with in 4 to 5 days at the most, in addition to the moraphine which he takes sort of how he is supposed to.
Myt hubby is taking large amounts of Percocet and Ambien CR. He runs out of the percs in 4 days and is buying them off the street. He is taking large quantities of this. If he can not get Percs, he takes ANYTHING he can get his hands on. Same with the Ambien CR. He runs out of his prescription before he can get it refilled and is buying them off the street. He will not go for help and it is 3 years now and he is crunching about 5-10 percs and 2 ambien a day.
At this point I have been going to a pain clinic for a condition that is not really there to get the meds and then when I run out of those I an getting them off the street, I am up to 4 30mg tablets a day. When I found the 30mg on the street I lost controll even snorting them now instead of taking them.

i have been takeing percocet for 2 years for back pain when it started it was 1 10 mg pill every 6 hrs. i now take 360 or more per mo.my doctor gives me 160 per mo.

I'm in my 30s and do not drink but abuse percocet on and off throughout the year. My enzymes have never been elevated but now they are. I take 1300mg APAP (20mg oxycodone) at once and then 975mg APAP 4 hours later and then that is it for the day. I repeat this for 2 weeks and then go anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months off. My boyfriend started doing oxy three years ago, when his father was prescribed oyi 20's, 2 per day, plus 200 of Percocet per month. My boyfriend took him to the appointments. He never let his father take any of the oxy - instead he started snorting it. He lets his father have some of the percocet but he took most of that, too. He kept getting his dad's doctor to up the dose, but then the dad went into the hospital. So he went to the street.
Okay so my friend has been giving me percocet this past month maybe 2 months, and I had my period at the end of may but it only lasted 2-3 days. And ever since then I haven't had my period. I to had to have ER surgery for an abdominal absess and one of the symptoms that they had not gotten it all are those that you describe as possiable W/D symptoms. W/D from percocet shold feel like a light flu but yours sounds wrose. Be sure your Dr.s know about your symotoms as they may want to do some tests to be sure they got all of your absess, and that your infection has not returned.
Hello i need help im not addicted to my pain medicine but am dependent on it if i miss one dose my pain jumps to a 9 fast and if i miss 2 doses then it becomes unbearable i start shaking want to throw up and so on i really need help i tried to call my doctor in texas after moving to Manassas VA. to get at-least lortab or vicoden but he says now that i moved he cant take care of me anymore and no one seems to care. I am 14 weeks pregnant and addicted to percocet I take about 40-60 mg a day. I really want to get off but i cant take the withdrawal. I bought 8 suboxone pills hoping that they will help. My question is, how do I take it safely and can I take it for a week to help with the worst withdrawal symptoms without getting addicted to it?

As I supported my X through detox and rehab I found I was not sober and addicted to Oxy's myself. By the grace of God Pills Anonymous brought a meeting to her rehab and she went one night. When she shared their existence to me I felt I must join.
Everything is relative-- but yes, that is a large dose. Consider that Percocet tablets-- medications used to treat surgical pain in dose ranges of 1-2 every 4 hours-- contain 5-10 mg of oxycodone. You are taking the equivalent of 70 of the 5 mg tabs every day, when the dose after major surgery would be on the order of 5-10 tablets per day.
The largest dose I've seen in a patient addicted to oxycodone is about 700 mg per day.
I had been denied percocet because I had a false negative test. I went from Monday through Friday without any. I had the withdrawal symptoms that I found on other web sites. My question is; I started the percocets again on Friday. I took two that day. I have been taking the prescribed 4 a day since. I still have some of the withrawal symptoms and am wondering, does the drug need to build up in my system again?
I was put on percocet, 10-325's,up to 4x times daily, and Oxcycontin, 30mg, 2x daily about 3 yrs. ago for chronic, severe OA throughout my spine.
Around spring of this year, (2013) I'd told my prescribing pain management dr., I felt I was becoming dependent on these meds though I never used the full rx each month, never used any type of street drugs. Passed every drug test with flying colors. He'd said that was par for the course and it was ok.
