oxymorphone urine test

I recently took a drug test where Oxymorephone showed up in my urine test. Does either of these pills contain the components of oxymorphone or opana? Any help will be appreciated!

Did they check off oxymorphone (opana) or morphine on the lab slip? Oxymorphone (Opana) is a semi-synthetic opioid, unlike morphine which is an opiate. If there was an error is the test request, that could explain the false negative. Btw, Opana is available in generic form- oxymorphone hcl ER by globabal pharmaceuticals. I know because I take it currently.

She indicated that for patients that take 100mg or more per day of Oxycodone - that 93% of the time the urine test comes back positive for Oxymorphone, which of course is what is in Opana. She studied a whole bunch of pain mgmt patients and this is what she found.

Needless to say a couple days later i went to the pm doctor and for some reason he had me do a urine test. I gobto a very strict doctor who does urine tests every 3 months, counts your pills, and will do random pill counts and urine tests at times if some idiot patient pissed him off and made him suspicious of everyone! I know oxymorphone will show up on a urine test as multiple other meds but not sure if hydromorphone is one of them.

have been clean for months I have been taking suboxon 2mg twice a day and an antidepresent every day I see my doctor once a week and drop urine every time on the initial test I have been clean but when it comes up on the computer he says that i have oxymorphone in my system, this just cant be what could cause this.

A simple urine test will be the same but a blood test will not lie and will tell exactly how much of what is in your blood at what levels. Even though, I have done this many times, I don't recommend taking one because of running out of other. Had I educated myself years ago, I would have been completely open with my Dr. so he could of seen the addiction signs before it got so bad for me.

What I do know is that many of our PMP are not familiar with them either. I do know that opiates break down into other substances and that can and should show up. I am not a chemist but in this new world of PM and drug testing I am trying to get up to speed.

I have a script for 10 mg vicodin but ran out and friend let ke take a 5mg oxy for my pain till script coupd be refilled...i then took a urine test..both meds re a class 2 schedule so will the urine test know the difference?

i was told by my doctor that the opana would test positive only for oxymorphone, and not oxycode. I have NEVER abused ANY drugs, and have a low tolerance for most of these medications, how can i prove that there was a mistake?

read urine specimen cups (the one with lines on it for a positive or negative result for myriad different opiates, etc. I failed my urine test (all negative for opiates that should be in my system) a couple of months ago. My doctor told me the cup must have been defective and left it at that. I'm very lucky to have a good relationship built on trust with my pain management doctor.

I have checked my past tests and have seen that in the last year 2 other tests came back with the same result for oxymorphone but just 1 test came back with negative for oxymorphone. So this test now too has come back with the oxymorphone result along with my morphine and oxycodone. Is this ok in your opinion? Stands to reason that: 2 x 5mg Percocet = 1 x 10mg Oxycontin Don't quote me on that though. I know Percocet has both Oxymorphone AND Acetaminophen in it, and Oxycontin has Oxymorphone only. I'm not certain what the Acetaminophen brings to the table as far as drug-interactions go, but your statement that the Perc and the Oxy are the same (2x5mg vs. 1x10mg) sounds about right. I am going through serious withdrawal. I suffer chronic back and hip pain and my doctor can't seem to find the source of the pain. So I started to medicate myself. I started off with oxy 30s. then I started dating a guy who also is in chronic pain and when I would start getting "sick" from not being able to get the 30s he gave he some of his oxymorphone, opana, and I don't want to continue taking his meds anymore.

Oxycodone is metabolized by the liver into oxymorphone. Oxymorphone is about 2 times stronger than oxycodone based on pharmacology. When I was first switched to Opana, the drowsiness and tiredness were unreal! It was a real struggle for me at first and I also have a desk job. However, the sedation effects only lasted for a month at the most. Now I don't get sedated anymore and in fact I am more alert than I was on Morphine.

Was on Tramadol for the past 7 months, up to 400mg a day for severe neck/back injury/pain due to a car accident 8 months ago.
