Benzaclin seemed to work at first, but now it seems to make my breakouts worse. The other two prescriptions just dont seem to work at all. What could this be?Herpes? I do have herpes, but my doctor tells me it should only be on the lip (I have it next to the lip) it's not noticeable at all.

s nothing really to pop. It usually goes away within the week. I also have been using Benzaclin for the past few months. I try to use it only when i have a pimple coming on. I know it can make my skin very sensative. I've never had a cold sore, but could this be one?? I dont feel any tingling or the other symptoms I've read about concerning cold sores.

One doctor prescribed Benzaclin and another doctor referred me to a dermatologist. After scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist and waiting over three months I ended up seeing a PAC and not an actual dermatologist (if that matters).
Unfortunately I lost the notes I had from the visit but she said I had Sebaceous something or the other. She said there wasn't really anything I could do to clear it up. She gave me a Tretinoin prescription for acne in general.
