Ok so I have been dealing with severe back pain over a year. This past april I was in ER and could barely walk. Turns out I had a disc pushing up against my spinal cord. Well anyways had emergency surgery to correct the issue. Well after surgery I was/am still having back pain. Just recently gotton some more images dones on my back. Turns out the disc was completely removed with no spacers or fusions done.

No, Temgesic is way, way weaker than sub. One sub is equal to 40 or 20 Temgesic ( temgesic is .2 or .4 MG Buprenorphine a sub is 8 MG) Also Temgesic is just Buprenorphine, Suboxone is Buprenorphine and Naloxone, however the naloxone doesn't really do anything in subs so idk why they even put it in there.

I have to say I agree with marys post talk to your sub doctor.Both of the meds you mentioned all awful strong for after oral sugery for wisdom theeth . I have never heard of a dentist giving either .

I had unprotected oral sex but protected sex a week ago. I am feeling constipation from 2 days ago. I have no other issues than this. Can std cause constipation??

naloxone, unfortunately for suboxone wd pr amy opiate/opioid wd will not aid in easing the pain or physical aspect, it will help a littloe with the cravings for opiates..the biggest advantage with naloxone is that it will block any opiate/opioid no matter what the potency from having any effects for quite a long time especially if you take it for a while. congrats on day 9, what doose of suboxone were you last on? and for how long total were you on sub?

My doctor from where I use to live took my insurance. As you know, alot of doctors are on a cash bases only. Is anyone from my area? Can you recommend a doctor close to Claremont County that takes insurance? Also, I was going to see about getting switched to Subutex because of the bad headaches I do get.

Precipitated withdrawals will come if either Subutex or Suboxone is taken. A common misconception is that the knocking off of the original opiate is done by the Naloxone, but in fact is caused by the Bupe. The Naloxone is only active if taken by an IV route. Naloxone is a different drug altogether, although Naltrexone and Naloxone are both opiate antagonists. Naloxone is not used in low dose for anything that I am aware of. It's used as an emergency antidote for opiate overdose. It is also added to subutex (buprenorphine ) to make Suboxone. When used in Low Dose Therapy, Naltrexone stimulates endorphin production. When used in high dose, it abruptly blocks endorphin production.

You need to take a stool softner like colace and for extreme constipation take a laxative like sendecot or miralax. I also like the chocolate exlax candy (be careful not to take too much- it can be painful). You can take the stool softner daily, 1 to 2 tablets, but only take the laxatives as needed because your body will become dependent on them. Because Naloxone has a higher affinity for the receptors than Morphine, the Naloxone will generally win out, replacing much of the Morphine at the receptor sites. Within 1-3 minutes of a sufficient Naloxone injection (2-4 mg), a patient who has OD'd on Morphine will generally wake up, usually quite agitated.

The naloxone in the mix is only placed as a deterrant to misuse. When taken orally as prescribed, naloxone has a horrible bioavailability and is virtually nonexistant... Subutex will yield the same results with regards to the opiate blockade properties.

i am allergic to naloxone (the opiate blocker in suboxone). i dont wanna get on methadone cuz the addiction gets serious. is there any thing like suboxone with the naloxone in it?

i have constipation and when i pass gas it's too smellish plus now a days after break fast i feel like some gas come out from my stomach and have little burn feeling in my nose and my tongue taste little bitter it remains until i pass stool

I am hoping to be completely off sub within a week. However, my psych Dr wants to put me on Naloxone for 6 months after that to ensure I don't have a relapse. It basically blocks the high I would get if I took any vicodin like the suboxone does. I really don't know if I even want to go on this, just b/c it's ONE MORE MED to be on. Does anyone know anything about this medicine? Or side effects?

If taken sublingual, the naloxone is inert, it doesn't enter the blood stream at all. Have you had this problem the whole time, it may be that your body doesn't tolerate buprenorphine.

I have also read of a treatment for alcoholics where they are prescibed daily doses of naltrexone for this reason. To prevent them feeling any "beneficial effects"of alcohol. The concept behind the Buprenorphine/Naloxone Combo is that when taken as directed, the Naloxone is Inert, and exhibits no effect on the patient due to its poor sublingual/oral bioavailability. Its incorporated as a back up to deter abuse of the tablet by parenteral use. Naloxone has a very high Intravenous Bioavailability, thus if the user injected the drug it would 1) Cause and Extreme Precipitated WD syndrome, and 2) Render the Buprenorphine useless.
