I've gone down to 35mg of Opana a day (snorting 6-7 5mg pills). Can anyone share their experience going CT from this amount of Opana and what I might expect? I have detoxed in the past but did rapid detox in a hospital where they knock you out for 2 days and you don't have any of the harshest WD symptoms. I am very scared. Definitely about physical symptoms but REALLY scared about the emotional issues & anxiety.
t stand to have this little bottle of pills in control of too much in my life. I was on well over 40 mg Opana ER (40 mg ER plus 30 mg short release). I am happy to say I just got to 20 mg Opana ER, and I am going to keep decreasing ever so slightly because I can't wait to be in control of mind and emotions again.
Both Angel_ina and I are tapering. I strongly suggest that you ask yourself if you are making progress. If you are, then keep up the taper. If not then consider going CT.
s now like to prescribe opana (oxymorphone) because it has very little to none euphoric or high feelings unless abused like snorting,plugging etc! I take opana er 10mg 2-3 times a a day along with percocet 10/325 tablet 3x a day! The opana is for around the clock relief and the percocet is taken with the opana to help with the pain while I wait for the opana to start working!
I was snorting at least 100mg a day in addition to taking at least 40mg ER orally. Bioavailability for Opana orally is horrid at 10%. Snorting brings it up to around 40%. I no longer take any ER after talking to my doctor last week and asking if it was ok to drop the ER instead of continuing to taper. He said it was fine as long as I thought I could handle the wd. I break my IR Opana into quarters, so I snort 8 bumps a day at 2.5mg each.
I was on morphine an kicked it. Opana was what I was taking. I have about 40 pills left and 12 days until refill but I don't want the refill. Any suggestions on how to kick this and the best way to keep the withdrawel effects down to a minimal? I can't miss work anymore and to be honest when I do I just sit around and think of the withdrawels. I have been on Effexor for 6 years for anxiety. Can someone help me get the monkey off m yback and give me my life back.
I am not sure from your post if you are on opana or opana ER, and how many times a day you are taking it. Would you clarify that, so I have an idea of where you are at.
When we read these post, especially the rare few about Opana and/or Opana ER, it can be so frightening. This has caused so much fear in me, but I have tapered down a great deal. I find the hard thing about Opana ER is that it cannot be cut, so the drop is really significant.
a friend of mine is needing to know if she sniffed half of a 10mg opana will it be in her urine tomorrow for her doc app?
With the steroid injections, my pain average went from 7 to 8, down to a 3 to 4. At this time I was prescribed Opana ER 40 mg, one every 12 hours. With the injections, I asked my doctor to put me on the Opana ER 20 mg, so he did, but added one more a day, or 20 mg every eight hours, three a day. Unfortunately, I can only get 3 steroid injections in a row, then have to wait six months before I can get another epidural injection.
Hi ive been snorting opana 20mg for about 6 months... i started with 1 tab per day and now I snort 9 - 12 a day.. my throat is so sore my voice has changed and i always sound hoarse and i am so afraid that its too late for me... i would love to stop this but i am so addicted and i get extremely sick when i try to stop... can tappering even be done when you snort? please help me and i screwed here? i am a mom and i feel like such a fool for doing this...
Now I have gotten myself into an opiate addiction. I have been snorting 3 40 mg Opana ERs a day for about 6 months now. Nobody in my family knows, and I have no doctor. I want off, Im a full time student with straight A's, Im about to graduate but Im afraid withdrawal is going to screw my whole semester up. Do I go to a doctor Ive never seen and ask for help? Basically I have 40 8mg Dilaudids and 15 30mg oxycodones and 9 opana 40mg.
Thanks so much for your post. I've told her I'd stop and then didn't stop way too many times for me to say. I think my taper may be good. I'm afraid of Wd but have and will continue to face them. Yesterday I was in Wd really bad and now am taking just my Opana. Not only am I taking just my Opana but I'm am able to swallow them. So far at least. I don't think cold turkey is the best option since there are others available.
t know how many 5/325 mg Percocets you were taking a day before switching to the Opana ER 5 mg, but to have equivalent pain relief from the Opana ER, you had to have taken only 2 Percocets a day. If you were taking more than 2 Percocets a day then the switch to Opana ER 5 mg was a step down in terms of pain relieving strength.
I have been taking Opana ER 30mg. 3 times a day for several months. My doctor has moved to Alaska and gave me 3 months of prescriptions while I find another doctor. When I dropped off the 2nd prescription the pharmacy told me they have ordered Opana several times over the last month and the order has not come. I called every pharmacy in my town and they said the same thing. Tapering is out of the question, so I guess its time for me to stop taking it, and it will have to be cold turkey.
I used to take 30 mg of Opana ER twice a day but I switched to the Fentanyl patch last month. 30 mg of Opana ER is roughly 60 mg of oxycodone or 90 mg of morphine.
10 mg of Opana ER is roughly 20 mg of oxycodone or 30 mg of morphine. You are actually getting 5 mg less of oxycodone through the switch from percocet to Opana ER. However, since Opana ER is an entirely different opioid formulation.
