Hi i am on 40mg of Omeprazole for acid reflux. Has anyone here had side effects from it like loose stools? For the past two weeks or so my bowel movements have been rather odd...loose in the morning but ok towards the end of the day...no blood, but causing soreness around my anus afterwards....

Does anyone know if permanent loose stools a common side effect of the regular intake of Omeprazole? I have no other side effects whatsoever.

Here it is January 2014 and I am pretty sure I have one of the possible side affects of taking omeprazole, severe itchy skin. Twice in the last month I stopped taking it for a few days and believe I even had a withdrawal side affect. This was when I was just falling to sleep it felt like I could not breath. The first time I went to the ER and had various test performed which all came back negative. The second time occurred about 4 days ago when I stopped taking omeprazole again.

Hi. I'm on my 12th week. I've been diagnosed before with GERD. Now due to the pregnancy, it seemed to worsen as I experience painful heartburns. My doctor recommends I take omeprazole along with antacids. I've been taking antacids because I know they don't bare side effects on pregnancy. I am not sure though with omeprazole. I'm scared. I started taking omeprazole for acid reflux but stopped it after reading about the side effects,anemia as it takes out vitamin b12,broken bones as it takes out calcium and a risk of severe cold infections as it takes out vitamin c.A local doctor links acid reflux with anemia,so I started taking multi vits with iron and the acid reflux disappeared.

t answer other that to say do a search here and/or on the web for side effects of omepraole. If that is a possible side effect discuss with your prescribing doctor you may be able to get help from some other medication.

By terrible do you mean side effects or no relief? This med can start helping with in a couple of days depending on what you're being treated for.If you have an ulcer it can weeks to clear up and you may need to be on a double dose of this med.

my wife and i are noticing aggressive behavior,and paranoia(along with nhs therapist)she is currently in hospital(acute care)and docs and therapists seem to be ignoring this and are contemplating release after suicidal/homicidal threats,has anyone experienced or heard of such aggression from geodon?i did find side effects on web that confirm this could happen,but seems doctors cant find or have ever heard of this? can anyone shed light please!!!!!

i would just like to say that my doctor prescribe me omeprazole and as you may or may not know, omeprazole has a lot of side effects including headaches and diarrhea... so now to the details of the question, me and my girlfriend had sex about three and a half weeks ago to be exact, for the first time. i used protection in the intercourse but she didn't used protection when she gave me oral. so i been paranoid because today i feel headaches and that feeling of getting a cold.

Unfortunately I suffered very bad side effects such as hallucinations (Omeprazole) and rash with both. So am still in a lot of pain and not sure what to do?
