I get something in the bottom of my throat after coughing and sometimes a sneeze. Not liquid, feels like a piece of food or something strange. When i swallow it goes away. I do have a few other silent reflux symptoms like clearing throat, dry cough and recently light sore or scratchy throat, but from what I've read the "lump" from silent reflux doesn't go away after swallowing. It does seem to get a little better after taking omeprazole 20, but it is still happening.

When i got out i was feeling alot better i had antibiotics, omeprazole, and loperamide for one week. After I finished my meds i went to a party and drank a lot of alchohol on a saturday night, monday came along and my stomach was still feeling fine, so i went to another party and drank alcohol. What is the difference between the prescribing of it? Such as, why would a Dr. prescribe you the pill form instead of the liquid form, or why would they prescribe the liquid instead of the pill? Well, I should say, unless you use liquid vitamins, but they are seldom all that complete and once in liquid form they are much more prone to rapid oxidation and deterioration, so I personally don't use them.

My friend has had naseau for 3 weeks now but only recently begun vomiting yellow liquid. She has also become constipated. I have been having burning throat and chest pains for the last two years also It has become increasingly worse and the doctor stopped all anti depressants ( I was down to a small dosage) I am constantly in pain Constantly feel sick and I am very lethargic I am having an endoscopy next monday and have been told to stop taking omeprazole and the symptoms are becoming unbearable!! While I waited for that, my gastro doctor told me to take gaviscon, which is an OTC, and comes in either tablets or liquid. I do occasionally, take the omeprazole, but it doesn't help that much. Another thing my doctor told me, is to never eat within 3 hrs of going to bed. I find that following this advice helps tremendously to prevent the acid reflux in the first place.

My consultant has taken me off omeprazole and replaced it with ranitidine due to the fact that my magnesium is low, and is making my calcium low too. Has anyone else had experience of this change, and if so, how has your body reacted to it.

I was having panic attacks which caused me to have a little bit of acid reflux one time so my doctor prescribed me a generic form of omeprazole to take twice daily 20mg 2x a day, I took it for over 2 months, and within the 2 months my anxiety and panic got worse to the point where when I would try to eat my heart would race and put me in a panic attack. m on 40mg/per day which is two 20mg omeprazole pill in the morning 1 hour before breakfast. My throat makes clicking/gurling sound when I swallowing liquid or water.
