omega-3

1655526 tn?1330655629 I know that omega 3 is really supposed to be good for the heart, but I get palps after I take them for 3 days, especially krill oil. I've read in this forum that others have also had adverse reactions to taking this supplement. So I wanted to put this poll out to see how omega 3 affects you. The first time I suspected krill oil, which is supposed to be the best omega 3, I used the process of elimination. Still not believing it I did it a second and third time.
518994 tn?1212242047 I read where Omega 3 was good for your dog. Is it a different Omega 3 or is it the same that humans take?
287479 tn?1272730364 Ask the pharmacist but I think it should be ok since its literally fish oil that comes out of fish....But you should take it along with prenatal vitamins just so you can ensure that your body is receiving all the nutrients to support a healthy pregnancy. My mom has Lupus too I know how hard it can be when your body betrays you but I honestly think that the Omega 3's would be good. Of course, you don't notice the difference right away, but you will in a few weeks taking it.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if I can just take an omega-3 supplement, or should I eat all the foods this app is telling to to get it. I'm not much of a fish eater.
Avatar f tn you know, I haven't been taking the Omega 3 since I got pregnant - they make me nauseous. I just take my prenatals daily. I try to eat healthy(doesn't always happen) but i do try. I didnt take any Omega 3 with my other kids and their fine, so oh well.
Avatar m tn I took an Omega-3 supplement for the first time before going to bed last night, and when I woke up one eye was very swollen and puffy. The only allergies I have had are seasonal. Could I be allergic to the Omega-3 supplement?

Avatar n tn I have been taking fish oil for about 5 years now and take approximately 2 grams with an Omega-3 total breakdown of 600 EHA and 400 DHA per day. I know I know, talk to your doctor bla bla bla (and I will to be sure) In the meantime should I trash the pills?
Avatar m tn Recently I heard that taking omega 3 capsules( the transparent one) will increase the risk of prostate cancer. Is there any scientific studies conducted on the subject?
Avatar n tn If you teach them a certain lifestyle early, the hope is that it will travel with them throughout their adult years. Studies are showing that omega-3 is good in so many other ways (joint, heart, brain) and now there's another benefit -it can help our kids too.
Avatar n tn Leg cramps are often caused by what is called intermittant claudication, which is related to blood circulation. A pacemaker may limit blood circulation under certain circumstances. Unlikely, but not impossible. Speak to your cardiologist about this. They question is not that silly. He need a color dopplar of his legs to evaluate circulatory status, to keep well-hydrated, and excercise regularly, walking as much as possible.
Avatar n tn What you want to do is to improve circulation. This can sometimes be accomplished by slow-release niacin and omega-3 fish oil, 1000 mg a day, but the reason for the lack of circulation should be determined professionally. It may be developing diabetes, which affects both macrocirculation and microcirculation. On the other hand there could be arterial blockage, which would be evaluated by a color dopplar.
Avatar m tn Quite a complex topic this but at the same time an interesting one. Omega 3 isn't just one substance, Omega three are fatty acids just like Omega 6 fatty acids found in oils and meat etc. Omega 3 are EPA, DHA, and ALA . Some experts have said that the balance between Omega 6 fatty acids and Omega 3 is key, but just as many say this is nonsense. Omega 3 do have benefits, mainly reducing inflammation in the body, such as in the arteries or joints.
317787 tn?1473358451 Hi there! I just found this group and was wondering if anyone had tried Omega 3 supplements. I am trying them now for stiffness in joints, body. I've also read it can help with brain fog or fuzzy thinking.
446156 tn?1275859576 And some prescribed prenatals have Omega 3 in them. Just ask your doctor for the dosage. The good thing about Omega 3 is that it is fish oil without having to eat fish which could have mercury. The mercury is not present in the Omega 3.
1258062 tn?1299842031 what is the right amount of omega 3 during pregnancy? i got 1000 mg per softgel is that safe?
Avatar n tn Hey guys. I've been suffering from a similar problem as most of you. Most days penis is smaller and hard when flaccid, lowered sex drive, can't get full erections in this state like I used to, rarely get morning wood, when erect penis it's so stiff that you cannot bend it left and right slightly, and so on. In my case however all this goes away after I don't masturbate or have sex for about 5 days. Then upon ejaculation the 'hard flaccid penis' comes back to haunt me.
Avatar m tn Most everyone knows or has heard about omega-3. The omega that many haven't heard about but that is very important to your health is omega-6. While omega-6 isn't bad in and of itself, what's bad about omega-6 is that Americans get too much of it. Having too much omega-6 and not enough omega-3 in your diet leads to many diseases. To avoid these diseases, you must keep these two very important essential fatty acids in balance or the right ratio.
