Initially was put on temisartan 40mg by Doc, used it for 3-4 months and later dosage was reduced to 20mg but later switched to another medicine, olmesartan medoxomil hydrochlorothiazide (20+12.5) and since then using the same tablet till recently My readings were pretty normal and infact my doc was convinced and wanted to reduce my dosage to only olmesartan medoxomil. Of late i have developed severe anxiety disorder and panic attacks, so started using Inderal 20 on the advice of Psychiatrist.

Most meds have side effects, so these may be making you feel a bit unfit and wrecked? Some also cause muscle aches and this is a real pain in the ***. Usually docs are just happy once the BP numbers go down. They listen ok, but your left with the meds and the side effects. Often these meds are for life! So you should move cautiously. Maybe its part anxiety or fear that make it worse? Only you can know that.
Is there any reasons to prefer or take losartan above olmesartan or the olmesartan above losartan. Person taking these is african, 57 years, female and oh, my mother.

I've been posting on several different forums to see if anyone is dealing with something similar - and reading a ton more articles and forums - and nothing so far. For the first 8 or so months, everyone thought it had to be pheochromocytoma (an adrenal tumor) because every single symptom fit that diagnosis, but none of my tests show any of the abnormalities that would be there if I actually had an adrenal tumor.

Crestor is to control cholesterol, have more offen side effects but doses of 10 mg are the lowest , and side effects can be abdominal pain (not chest). So is better to talk to the doctor about this side effects. She is very well medicated but allergic reactions can happen. TALK TO TE DOCTOR is all I can tell.
I'm presently on atenolol 40 mg (along with hydrochlorothiazide) once daily. I will be transitioning to propanolol 20 mg (and hydrochlorothiazide) twice daily soon - my doctor wants me to transition by taking propanolol - 1/2 of 20 mg twice a day for one week and then the full 20 mg twice daily. Why? Won't that cause rebound hypertension?

Now, I have been further prescribed for 30 days, which I have started taking: Eltroxin 25mg empty stomach & Zyloric 100mg after breakfast. Kindly advise further.
I was placed on potassium citrate and hydrochlorothiazide but the medicines have horrific side effects. Also, has anyone experienced elevated blood glucose levels and elevated LFT's after taking these medications?
Haven't started the new medication yet. I read the info sheet and it said "this medication may cause vision loss or other unwanted side effects" although most of the common vision problems and eye pain may be temporary and would be reversed if stopping the medication was what I was told. Further research says HCTZ may be associated with severe eye conditions that may lead to permanent impairment such as glaucoma etc, although I don't know how common that is.
Now previously, in the past I had once been put on Furosemide. I had a bad reaction to it. I had some of the side effects listed under dangerous side effects and had to stop taking it. So I reminded my doctor of that and he put me on Hydrochlorothiazide. I took this for one day and was extremely sick the whole day. I started with some dizziness, and headache, then went to cramps which turned into very bad cramps.

It did what it was supposed to do, however I also developed post partum anxiety/depression and was put on Escitalopram, Alprazolam (as needed) and klonopin (1mg) at night only. The side effects of the labetalol for me were awful, so once my readings got better, I weaned off of it and am now not taking anything for Bp which usually stays in a good range (120-135 over 78-85). Some days it's a bit high and some days it's normal.
