Is there any reasons to prefer or take losartan above olmesartan or the olmesartan above losartan. Person taking these is african, 57 years, female and oh, my mother.
Morning - Olmesartan (H) 40mg, Metoprolol Succinate Extended Release 25mg; Evening - Olmesartan 40mg, Metoprolol Succinate Extended Release 25mg.
Now, I have been further prescribed for 30 days, which I have started taking: Eltroxin 25mg empty stomach & Zyloric 100mg after breakfast. Kindly advise further.
Diuretics? I have been on Benicar (olmesartan) for many years, works very nicely. Amlodipinealso said to work nicely but may diminish your taste reception.
After one month, bp was controlled at 120/80 but I now notice as if my stamina is weaker but what was
significant was the fact that there was an redness and slight itchiness on my arms and legs. But there was no pain whatsoever. Took 2 weeks off the drug and the itchiness went
away however, my heart feels like it was beating so hard.
Then I was prescribed losartan 50mg.
Initially was put on temisartan 40mg by Doc, used it for 3-4 months and later dosage was reduced to 20mg but later switched to another medicine, olmesartan medoxomil hydrochlorothiazide (20+12.5) and since then using the same tablet till recently My readings were pretty normal and infact my doc was convinced and wanted to reduce my dosage to only olmesartan medoxomil. Of late i have developed severe anxiety disorder and panic attacks, so started using Inderal 20 on the advice of Psychiatrist.
I was recently put on a drug that had had a recent epidemiological (SP?) study that demonstrated a link to cancer. I forget which type. He said that it was absurd to think that a five year study could demonstrate such a link, that it takes longer for a drug to cause cancer. I have to assume that he also thinks its absurd to think that it would only take five years for a drug to cause a cancer that was 'dormant' to become active (detectable). Do you agree?
if so does your wife have a genetic disorder it would be the BRACA 1 or 2 if she does then she would have a good chance of getting on the phase2 trials of a pharp inhibitor drug called OLAPARIB thIs is a wonder drug as far as i am concerned i have been on it for two years under the phase ! trials

Does anyone know anything about RO5024048, a drug for HCV made by Roche? I have been asked to participate in the study. Any info is appreciated.
It has had (VX 950) a really good track record so far but also is not perfect as their are reports of severe rashes and some evidence of viral mutations in the earlier trials. Being it is in phase 3 with a large group to study the picture will get a little clearer on that drug. I hope that helps and good luck in your decision just think long and hard about it first.
OK, so I recently developed a cough that's dry, and feels bronchial in nature. I think it might be related to a new medication I started (olmesartan); however, I'm more interested in the pain that I get in my arm. I've had it in the past when I had similar coughs.

he is very intelligent he got good grades in his o levels and after that he admitted in a new college and his grades started falling .he didnt study at home .and in A levels he didnot show good result and in A levels 2nd part he didnt attended college .my mother and father are very worried about his future .we think that he uses some drug with cigaratte smoking how would we help him?
I would rather have a drug that has been approved via a proper long term study that I can read than a natural drug that has no basis of fact that it is effective or safe.
We do agree that every individual needs to be a responsible patient and research what they are asked to take. I have never started a drug that I don't first ask my doctor pointed questions about and then research on my own. I feel it is our responsibility.

I was treated, unsuccessfully, 5 years ago with Peg-INF and RBV. Now, my doc wants to put me on new experimental study - Merck's drug (I believe MK-7009) that is in phase II. What are the chances with this drug?

s important before participating in any study to read as much as you can about the study drug, and also to read all the fine print on the study design and agreement.
My husband recently finished a phase IIb study for another protease inhibitor, which worked out well for him, so I am generally pro-clinical trials. However, it's always very important to select the study carefully.
