My doctor put me on one 10mg of Zyprexa (Olanzapine) for the molestation thoughts cuz they were feeling all too real. They're going away somewhat. I'm taking two 2 mg of Risperdol for it too as well wit a combo of other meds for anxiety. How soon will the thoughts go away COMPLETELY?
Sounds very much like OCD and anxiety. I have severe OCD and I have crazy thoughts and repeat words also. When I was a kid that was my main thing I did. Whenever someone spoke to me, I always had to repeat the last 3 words that came out of their mouths. It drove everyone crazy! lol You know it's OCD when you have an intense feeling of anxiety associated with the little rituals and obsessions that you do.
Hi, I was on olanzapine my dose was anywhere between 5mg and 12.5mg. I felt a lot better on seroquel after the transition period. I find I am not as drowsy and my appetite isn't as strong, meaning that I am not gaining as much weight. Olanzapine is good for crisis but day to day I find seroquel suits me better, hooe it goes well for you too!
t be the medication tho I was taking NOTHING else but me and my GP saw those twitches and tremors alright! ) ..swapped to 1 x 5mg olanzapine for three weeks and now okay enough to Research, tremors decreased by 90% but packing on the weight despite regular exercise.With sedation I get my situation under control and my fears scuttle off far enough away for me to live outside of four walls...
I was put on olanzapine an anti phycotic on top of my fluvoxamine meleate 200mg for deap depression after and home invasion. While the olanzaoine was helpful with my depression i think it was also causing leg pain. the longer I took it for the worse the pain got and more pain meds I needed to take to get threw my day to just walk. Once I was strong enough to come off olanzapine I weaned my self off and the leg pain started to get better over time.
Before I was on olanzapine I couldnt sleep till 4am after going to bed at 11pm and having my eyes closed for all that time whilst trying to sleep, the problem was was that my mind was racing, and couldnt turn off. Now I am working night shifts and it has really caused problems with my bi-polar and sleeping, its as if my tablets no longer work, so I shall be going onto a higher dosage maybe.
But yes, I do get very tired from olanzapine!
I am 30 years old male and i have been suffering from anxiety and have obsessive features since my childhood which aggravated during my teenage and i was diagonised with Panic disorder with agoraphobhia, insomnia, and concurrent obsessive thoughts. I have been on medications for last 7-8 years. Currently I am taking the following medicines: Fluoxetine 60 mg, Olanzapine 2.5 mg, clonazepam 0.5 mg, Mirtazapine 15 mg.
Well, it’s natural for you to feel apprehensive as being shifted to a new drug and its dose is being reduced. Both Olanzapine and Resperidone are atypical antipsychotics. So, basically, you will be taking the same class of antipsychotics. Resperidone is however a very potent antipsychotic. They took me to psychiatrist that put me on olanzapine 10mg and kept me in the hospital for 10 days. Traumatic experience. 5mg and Buproprion XL 300mg... After a couple months and not much change my doctor adds in Olanzapine 5mg, problem is I've been doing a bit of research online and am now too nervous to take the Olanzapine(Zyprexa) with the Clonazepam(Klonopin). Every thing I've seen has basically said that these two can interact very badly causing shallow breathing, loss of consciousness, etc. It would be much appreciated if I could get some feedback from anyone who has taken the two together.
I never had any spasms on it. It was the olanzapine and it took only one dose. Before that i also tried risperidone for a month so who knows.
Im actually terrified at this moment. Theres so little info on this disorder but i feel there may be a genetic predisposition to it too. For instance, you and i may take the same amt of seroquel..but i develop TD due to my mom having it.
I have been on olanzapine for 15 years and has helped me greatly with anxiety, and other mental health conditions. I am 35 years old and have over the past 7 weeks experienced extreme pain in my feet and ankles. I had also over the past 6 months experienced tingling in the feet and legs which I believe is a side effect of long term use off olanzapine. I have been very concerned over the servere pain in my feet as it is all over the foot and can be painful to walk on.
OK, I will try to consult with my doctor for Zyprexa (Olanzapine). Wikipedia said FDA approved it for only Mania in bipolar patients not for depression. But I think antipsychotics also reduce depression by looking at the experiences of different people. Can Risperidone also work like Zyprexa? I am currently on it with an anti depressant.
Ive been on lamictal for around 5 months. added to depakote and has changed my life (diagnosis bipolar). i can actually get off the couch.
I have been trying to lose weigth for a while with no avail. Started lamictal: nausea and some light cramping. although hungry, sometimes I can't eat. Am down from 118# to 112# and continue to fall without effort. even eating chocolate.
just wondering if I should be concerned something else is going on.
It's really hard to say for sure as I'm sure you probably know meds work differently for each person and you only can find out by trying them.
Last night I took my first olanzapine pill(5mg), for panic attacks and apparently I did some weird
things in my sleep. My girlfriend said my legs were twitching, and sounded like I was choking when I was
snoring. It only happened last night, and not this morning when I was sleeping. I feel normal today,
just a little dizzy(I slept 15 hours).

) which means that reducing olanzapine by 2.5 is like reducing seroquel by about 100mg which is very large (google for the equivalence of antipsychotics e.g. 1mg risperidone is equivalent to 100 seroquel, etc...)
i suggest you fix your dose (ask your pdoc of course) to 2.5 but add 1mg of benzo say to supplement it.
My heart seems to be really pounding and I can really feel it in my head (a lot of pressure) and with breathing SO HARD. .....and it seems to have gotten worse for me! Then after the workout, I have a long lasting headache. I notice that I am also out of breath after carrying up the laundry baskets 1-2 flights of stairs at home.
