After having unprotected sex the head of my penis got itchy in the inside of the hole and had a very little amount of discharge. I searched the net to find the answer and the closest to my symptom is urethritis. Upon reading through the forums related to STDs, found out that some folks were prescribed with ofloxacin. Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours.

He prescribed Momate (mometasone) Ointment along with Daskil (terbinafine) cream to be applied twice a day on the penis and Zanocin 400 (ofloxacin) tablets thrice a day for 10 days. This didn't help at all as the condition remained the same all throughout and I also experienced severe burning at that time. I also experienced sever urination problems during that time. I would have to go once or twice every hour.
I'm a 40 year-old American living in Thailand. A few months ago I had unprotected sex with a female coworker. About 10-12 days later I noticed a burning sensation in the tip of my penis (it felt similar to when soap gets in the urethra). The burning intensified over the next few days. What measures should i take now while waiting for the next step to ensure my wife and kids could not be infected if ever there was infection, and what test and how long do i have to wait to make sure it accurate.

I had unprotected sex with a guy about 10 days ago whilst in St. Lucia. 5 days later he called me to say he was sick, had been to the doctor that morning, and had contracted an STD, Gonorrhea, from me! Apart from the shock I felt, as if I do have Gonorrhea I had no idea as have had no symptons, and what with the guilt as well, I immediately (5 days ago) went to get myself checked out. I also live in a Caribbean country.
I went to the doctor and had an STI test 4 weeks after our last intimate moment and all was clear. I was then prescribed with anti inflammatory tablets. This eased the pain, however a few weeks later I had pain in my right epididymis that shot up towards my lower abdomen. I've had a scan for kidney stones and also a ultrasound on my testicles, these results were clear.
I sent in a semen sample and it came back with the enterococcus faecalis infection so I am on amoxycillin. Thing is i have had a course of Ofloxacin, Amoxycillin (low dose) and another antibiotic.
My current Amoxycillin is 3 tablets per day, 500mg each tablet, so 1500 per day for one month, 4 weeks. I am now onto week two and still have the pain dispite the medication.

As I am currently situated in China and am not too confident of the Chinese hospitals, I visited an International Medical Center where the doctor diagnosed a Chlamydia infection. There was only a urine sample test done and I was prescribed Ofloxacin. My itch and discharge cleared up after I was done with the medication, 4 x 100 mg tablets, 2 times daily for 5 days.
As I was refiling my prescription the other day I was informed by my pharmacist that the acyclovir 400mg will not be available for another 2 month and they only have either the 800mg tablets or 200mg capsules.
My question is
A-should I take the 200mg capsules 2x2 daily or
B-should I take the 800mg 1x daily or
C- can I just get the 800mg tablet and split in half and take an half tablet 2x daily.
What would be the most effective solution?
after the course the infection was still there, and i went to another doctor, who gave me a shot of ceftriaxone 1g iv, azithomycin 1g which i took in one dose, and ofloxacin, 300mg for 10 days, after we found out that i had clap. the thick yellow discharge was replaced with a cloudy, sometimes clear discharge.
i stoped this drug for 2 months and yesterday i decided to take it but the last prescription the pharmacy made each tablet 100 mg. and i forgot thinking it was only 25 mg and yesterday i took 2 tablets of 100 mg ( 200mg) thnking they were both only 50 mg. yesterday i didn't sleep as my legs started shaking and kicking all nights , my heart beats so fast, and i feel nausious and dizzy. now i'm still feeling the same and a little bit of fever.
Hi i'm new here and i've recently started taking iron tablets (ferrous sulphate) 200mg 3 times a day.

Does anyone now feel sick whenever they go to the toilet?
I personally go at least once a day and now i'm replused by myself.
I know a side effect is blackened stools, but this makes me feel physically sick!
I did feel sick too, but ever since i started taking the tablets with food i've felt better.
I was taking ribapack (the blue ones) 1200 mg. Then hgb tanked and MD lowered dose to 1000 mg. He gave me script for ribasphere 200mg capsules (400 in am). And of course continue to take the blue pill in PM. I know that ribavirin is ribavirin. But anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm not sure why he didn't just write script for 1000mg ribapack.
hi guys i need to ask you about sertraline ,anxiety drug, my doctor prescribed me at the begining with one 25 mg tablet a day, and after 2 weeks two tablets of 25 mg (50mg ), and after that he advised me to start taking 4 tablets bring it up to 100 mg sertraline a day. i stoped this drug for 2 months and yesterday i decided to take it but the last prescription the pharmacy made each tablet 100 mg.
I am currently taking ofloxacin (local meds) 400 mg 3x a day for 5 days for my uti. Will it also cure any possible std(gonorrhea/chlamydia) if i have one?
On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. Her pediatrician thought it was conjuvitis & rx Ofloxacin .3% it cleared up in 3 days.
