Early this year over new year I was submitted to hospital for emergency treatment on a corneal ulcer and was kept in hospital for three days and given intensive treatment of ofloxacin eye drops every hour, then released from hospital and continued to be on ofloxacin eye drops every 2 hours and steroid drops every 2 hours with frequent visits to the hospitals eye clinic to monitor my progress.
chances are the infection never really went away, if it was gonorreah or syphilis it probably relapsed...
I contracted NGU through oral sex and was prescribed 10 days of Ofloxacin. I had urine test at 21 after the last pill which came out negative. My question is if it was too early to test? I still have clear discharge 1-2 times per week in the morning.

I'm a 40 year-old American living in Thailand. A few months ago I had unprotected sex with a female coworker. Upon reading through the forums related to STDs, found out that some folks were prescribed with ofloxacin. Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours. So far, the irritation when I'm urinating and the tingling has subsided significantly. My question is, shall I still continue taking the ofloxacin until the 7th or 10th day from the day I started taking it?

I am currently taking ofloxacin (local meds) 400 mg 3x a day for 5 days for my uti. Will it also cure any possible std(gonorrhea/chlamydia) if i have one?
On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. As I am currently situated in China and am not too confident of the Chinese hospitals, I visited an International Medical Center where the doctor diagnosed a Chlamydia infection. There was only a urine sample test done and I was prescribed Ofloxacin. My itch and discharge cleared up after I was done with the medication, 4 x 100 mg tablets, 2 times daily for 5 days.
5 yrs started complaining of stomach pain and diarrhea four days back when the doctor prescribed ofloxacin and metronidazole suspension which had some effect in the first two days but worsened later.
Subsequently we got his stool examined which tested positive with RBCs, mucous, pus cells and tiny specs of blood. The docter then gave ofloxacin and ornidazole suspension.
It seems that the infection has been ongoing but it might be negative under the influence of the antibiotics. Kindly discuss with your urologist for the management of the infection with antibiotics like ceftriaxone, ofloxacin etc.
For my inital treatment, while waiting for my first blood testresults, i was prescribed with Azithomycin (1mg single dose), Doxycline (7 days), Ofloxacin (7 days) and Rocephine. When the blood results came back 2 weeks later, it confirmed i had chamydia. Thereafter, my doctor prescribed for me another week of doxycline and 2 months of ofloxacin.
During a follow up visit, 3 weeks ago, i did a blood test and the results was equivocal or uncommital.
