thank you for quick response, I really appriciate that. I tested negative for chlmaydia and gonorrhea in a first place (when NGU was discovered). I had chlmaydia and gonorrhea tests done along with NGU test 21 days after completing my medication as well, still negative.
What do you think if I had incubating syphilis at the time, would Ofloxacin had cleared this one up as well (I stared medication 6 days after incident)?
I was diagnosed with Gonorrhea 6 days ago. I took ofloxacin for 5 days, and now, 6 days later I still have all the symptoms (green discharge and burning sensation to urinate). Because of that, today I went back to the hospital, so the doctor asked another urine exam, but this time the result was negative for gonorrhea. I would like to know why I still have these simptomns!
How long it takes to treat Chlamydia and Gonorrhea with antibiotics.
i may have taken ofloxacin and prednisolone eye drops in my eye 5 times in a day instead of the 4 times like i was supposed to do.will it cause any harm?
A few days later I got a message from him telling me that a swab to his throat had tested positive for Gonorrhea. I went to my GP the same day (NOV14) and although I didn't have any symptoms I got a treatment for Gonorrhea (one shot)+Chlamydia (4 pills). In addition, because of an unrelated problem regarding pain in my testicles (for which earlier tests had given negative STD results), the doctor gave a treatment of ofloxacin that I am still taking.
I have some sore on foreskin of my penis 3months ago, at first i'd go to doctor then he gave me ciprofloxacin, and it's getting better, and i was stopped the dosage, that time the sore is happend again.
so i go to doctor again, he give me ofloxacin, it's getting better but when i stopped the dosage yesterday, now a sore is happend again inner foreskin of my penis.

At the same time when I got tested for Syphilis VDRL, I also got tested for Chlamydia PCR urine test and Gonococcal PCR urine test. Negative results for both tests. Can I assume these 2 tests results are also reliable? Although I have taken the above mentioned antibiotics? The duration between the last dose of last antibiotic Zinnat and the testing day is around 20 days.

0 gram dose of azithromycin will cure nearly all chlamydial infections and is the recommended therapy for NGU. For gonorrhea the 2.0 gram dose is recommended. The 2.0 gram dose is also the dose shown to be effective for syphilis.
You describe taking 1500 mg (1.5 grams) over about 3 days. This dose would probably cure most chlamydial infection and NGU and some gonorrhea or syphilis but not all. Beyond that, there really no way to answer your question with complete confidence.

Hi there. my doctor told me that i had gono last november 2009. I took ofloxacin for a week and the symptoms (penile discharge, urgency to urinate, penile pain (sensitive), back pain) were gone. However, just last week, the symptoms went back, albeit in the intensity of the symptoms were less compared to the symptoms last november 2009. no sores still. just red penis. is it possible that this is just recurrent gono or this is herpes already?
i went to a clinic and the doctor asked me if i have any discharge and i said no and i told him every detail of my story and he said it might be gonorrhea but he said unlikely since i have no discharge and prescribed me with ofloxacin for UTI, 7 days twice a day orally. after taking my medication for 3 days i felt a lot better and thought i was cured but after finishing my medication, maybe after 3 days the symptoms returned.
On 3/21/07 she had stomach flu,5/24/07 she woke up with a bloody looking eye it's ALWAYS on the same eye (right)on the inner part of the sclera & it never spreads to the other eye,she always says it hurts & it swells up a little. I have had Epididymitis since around November 2006. Docs tested me for everything, no STD's present, couldnt tell you all of the other tests....but small cyst was found on head of epididymis which Doc thought was not cause of pain. Initial pain came on after unprotected anal sex with my girlfriend....and I have been researching this to no avail lately as pain has set in again. I know I was treated for STD's while waiting for the test results to come in....
I have a doctor friend who gave me a prophnlacsis OFLOXACIN 200mg twice a day for 5 days. Told me that there are no guarantees but it may somehow help.
What measures should i take now while waiting for the next step to ensure my wife and kids could not be infected if ever there was infection, and what test and how long do i have to wait to make sure it accurate.

After having unprotected sex the head of my penis got itchy in the inside of the hole and had a very little amount of discharge. I searched the net to find the answer and the closest to my symptom is urethritis. Upon reading through the forums related to STDs, found out that some folks were prescribed with ofloxacin. Without consulting a doctor, I am self medicating now after googling what's ofloxacin is for. 3 days ago I took 2 400mg and subsequently 200mg every 12 hours.
Based on the oral sex and the broken condom here is what I would recommend. Testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia 1 week post exposure. Syphilis 6 weeks, HIV 3 months.
Symptoms of oral gonorrhea often do not show and if they so they will not show the next day. If you wish to have an oral gonorrhea test then that is a throat swab.
