Anything I can do to help alleviate this issue?

Avatar f tn celery onion parsley garlic peppermint eggplant cabbage cranberries asparagus corn cucumber grapes watermelon Some sources say to reduce intake of parsley and celery to avoid water retention. I believe this is based on the fact that they contain a significant amount of natural sodium. Organic, or naturally occuring sodium, may be helpful by keeping table salt in solution, helping to eliminate it.

Avatar f tn Well Ocella is the generic for Yasmin. I was taking Yasmin for 2 years, when last month I was given Ocella. Well I wasn;t too thrilled with it, as I had cramps for 5 days plus I started my period 1 day late. They say generic is always the same, but for me I felt a difference. It could be from the pill. Your body needs to adjust being on it. Side affects should lessen by the third month.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if switching birth control pills could have helped maximize the anxiety. I switched from yaz to ocella and have only been on ocella for a few months and the anxiety started like a month ago.
10948614 tn?1414173719 I have no symptoms except for extreme fatigue and water retention and some slight swelling on my outer ankle bone. I found out I am gluten intolerant so that means damage and inflammation for the last 45 years but I am gluten-free and almost grain free now. I drink a lot and pee a lot so it is almost like my body is somehow intolerant to water or leaking it through my intestines? Diuretics have never worked and I have no signs of kidney disease.
Avatar f tn My healthy 20 yr. old daughter was taken Ocella Birth Control Pills for 2- 3 months when she began experiencing severe headaches. She would take Tylenol, and eventually the headache would go away. At the time we did not make the relation between headaches and birth control pills. One particular day she complained of a headache, pain in her right shoulder/arm, blurry vision in her right eye, and she couldn't remember certain things that normally she remembered.

Ascites can develop very quickly, and it can also cause your husband to have discomfort with breathing -- the pressure from the accumulating fluid can cause uncomfortable pressure on other organs, like the lungs.
Avatar n tn Are you drinking 2 to 3 liters of water daily or have you been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection? If you cannot void at all, your urologist may have you self cath for a period of time. If you could provide more information, perhaps our suggestions would not have to be so general. Good luck.
Avatar f tn LOL no. It's water. Water is water. Drinking lots of water in general will help with water retention. But sometimes no matter what you do or how much you drink you're going to retain water!

Avatar f tn I had a lot of water retention after surgery while I was in the hypo state waiting for radioactive iodine. My feet, ankles and face swelled up pretty bad. My eyes felt like someone was pushing on them from the inside they were so swollen. My face looked like a moonpie, it was ridiculous. I did not try and kind of water tablets or anything though. I just drank tons of water and it eventually subsided.
Avatar f tn I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
