Well Ocella is the generic for Yasmin. I was taking Yasmin for 2 years, when last month I was given Ocella. Well I wasn;t too thrilled with it, as I had cramps for 5 days plus I started my period 1 day late. They say generic is always the same, but for me I felt a difference. It could be from the pill. Your body needs to adjust being on it. Side affects should lessen by the third month.

I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.

Recently I switched to nights and I've found it difficult to maintain taking my birth control on time ( I've been on ocella for years). Before my bf and I started having sex I had one very brown only slightly bloody period for a few days. We had sex for the first time (protected) around June 12 and around June 23 I had very dark brown bleeding for about 2-3 days. too early for my period. I'm worried it may be implantation bleeding.
I took two more one did not have an answer the data other neg. I have 3 kids already. My concern is stil no period but somr pain on right side here and there. I go to my obgyn in a few days.
I also have the exact same symptoms. I feel so bloated all the time and since being on Yaz for over 3 years now, I'm weighing more than I ever weighed in my life. I started taking Yaz right after I had my daughter and I just can't seem to lose the weight. I've tried taking other brands but did not like it. I'm actually thinking about resorting to the ring.
Earlier in May I missed three days of my pills and started to bleed. So I stopped taking it because I was going into my placebo week. I had my period then stopped for a day or two then started spotting that's never happen to me. I got my new pack and started taking them and now I feel nauseous as ever and I'm in my second week going to my third week...
I do the same thing and take my pills for a few months at a time skipping the placebos. I'm not sure what you're referring to when you skip the reduced hormone pills, because I thought you could only skip the placebo pills if you were on a monophasic drug (not triphasic).
To answer your question, though, I also get break through bleeding if I've been doing this for 3 months or so. I think it just means that your body is ready to have a period.
you start takin the pill on the first day of your period the first time for 21 days then a break for 7 days they will regulate then n eventually ease n lessen in time to maybe 3-5 days but it would be unual for your periods to stop cos on the pill you still get periods. hope this helps.
I had to bring her a print out, and this was on my second appointment. In the beginning she prescribed ocella, I stoped because it was making me bleed. She told me that I shouldn't had stoped because it was my body adapting to the pill. When I read about Lybrel, I immediately printed the information and asked for it. I had faith on this pill. Although they claim to not have any difference, I was on Yasmin (brand name) for a while and then was switched too Ocella (Generic) and I did notice slight changes in my period. In fact, I never missed a single period on Yasmin, but did miss one while on Ocella. The blue veins, I mean if your fair skin like me, I notice the veins all the time. Sometimes they are bluer then normal, but you can't always go by that being a symptom of pregnancy.
At the end of September I was switched from Syeda to Ocella. I was about two weeks late picking up my prescription. On October 5th I was sexually active and it was during the first week of my pill pack. I ended up starting my withdraw bleed during the third week of my active pills. It was light and spotty, only when I wiped. It lasted 10 days.
About three days into the spotting I got sore breasts, which I have never gotten before.
So today I took 1 tab and 2 kolopins... I'm fighting so hard not to take another tab till tomorrow. I just got out of work and feel like I've been hit by a truck and am so emotional, I know this is only going to get worse. And I hate that no one knows... any ideas on how to help the pain? I've read a few time about a vitamin cocktail, what is that all about??
My boyfriend and I are sexually active, we've been together for about 2 years. I am on birth control (Ocella) but, he always pulls out before ejaculating. He's never "busted" inside of me. I haven't missed a period, but do you think I'm at all possible of being pregnant?
