Well Ocella is the generic for Yasmin. I was taking Yasmin for 2 years, when last month I was given Ocella. Well I wasn;t too thrilled with it, as I had cramps for 5 days plus I started my period 1 day late. They say generic is always the same, but for me I felt a difference. It could be from the pill. Your body needs to adjust being on it. Side affects should lessen by the third month.

My healthy 20 yr. old daughter was taken Ocella Birth Control Pills for 2- 3 months when she began experiencing severe headaches. She would take Tylenol, and eventually the headache would go away. At the time we did not make the relation between headaches and birth control pills. One particular day she complained of a headache, pain in her right shoulder/arm, blurry vision in her right eye, and she couldn't remember certain things that normally she remembered.
I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
Wow, that is ridiculous. Did Lybrel work at all before this started happening - i.e., did it work for a few months, and then stop? I've heard that it can cause some breakthrough bleeding/spotting, but not bleeding every day! Sheesh, that *****. It's really new, and though it's FDA approved, I was skeptical when I heard about it.
I'd go back to your doc... Don't give up, there is probably a pill out there that can make your periods more manageable.
I also started bleeding this morning!!! Does anyone who lives in the chicago area know of any good doctors!!???
Earlier in May I missed three days of my pills and started to bleed. So I stopped taking it because I was going into my placebo week. I had my period then stopped for a day or two then started spotting that's never happen to me. I got my new pack and started taking them and now I feel nauseous as ever and I'm in my second week going to my third week...
I visit Dr Kecia Gerlach at Bayard obgyn.. but i guess u first have to take a call on the hospital bcoz they have to be affiliated with the hospital... second deciding factor would be if the doctor is covered by your insurance as out of network care could be expensive... He was greatly impacted by the cognitive challenges. He gives good information on describing the cognitive symptoms and how he dealt with them. He also found it a helpful read....and think his comment was "wow....I understand more of what is happening to you, and can understand better what you have not been able to describe." So, this is a plus+plus.
When I read the reviews about conceive plus on Amazon, I thought I would be pregnant the very next cycle. It's been 4 months and nothing so far. I'm not saying it doesn't help, it's probably better than "regular" stuff....it just hasn't helped for us. I don't mind the texture....there were negative comments about the texture but I don't mind it.
You can if you want over all its your decision i personaly wouldnt because your period cleans out your area
s nurse suggested I try Yaz. She said it was about the same thing and I get shorter periods. At first I felt good, but around the second pack I started getting horrible headaches, my periods would stretch out to a week instead of a few days, I would breakout, and I had terrible mood swings. Interestingly enough, my best friend started getting the same symptoms as me after taking Yaz and she hadn't even been on birth control before, so I had the feeling we probably weren't alone.
Recently I switched to nights and I've found it difficult to maintain taking my birth control on time ( I've been on ocella for years). Before my bf and I started having sex I had one very brown only slightly bloody period for a few days. We had sex for the first time (protected) around June 12 and around June 23 I had very dark brown bleeding for about 2-3 days. too early for my period. I'm worried it may be implantation bleeding.
I live in Florida and I could probably manage to get to Jacksonville. I always like to hear good things from patience that have seen a doctor before I go, and since you like your doctor, may I ask who you see (as I suppose there are probably a couple there)?
I still want to look for someone closer, but I would still like to hear your experience if you don't mind sharing.
I have been on Ocella for the past 10 months. I'm finding that the past few months I am consistently anxious and depressed. I am concerned that it could be the birth control that I am on. I would like to know if there are any b.c. pills that limit this side effect. I also find that my libido is less strong. All of these symptoms are affecting my relationship. Any suggestions?
At the end of September I was switched from Syeda to Ocella. I was about two weeks late picking up my prescription. On October 5th I was sexually active and it was during the first week of my pill pack. I ended up starting my withdraw bleed during the third week of my active pills. It was light and spotty, only when I wiped. It lasted 10 days.
About three days into the spotting I got sore breasts, which I have never gotten before.
Internet reviews or asking your friends and family are probably your options... If you have a primary care/family doctor, you could ask them who their office recommends. That's how I found my obgyn.
I want to see a woman for my prenatal care. How do I know who is a good obgyn in my area? Can I just call their office and set up an appointment without talking to my usual doctor? I'm 9 weeks pregnant.
I am thinking to plan for a baby soon. Is here anybody from this area? Can you please suggest me good gynecologist and Obstetrician may be in Denville or Morristown?

Me and my boyfriend had made love about 2 days ago. and the condom had broke and we didn't feel it break. So now I don't know if I'm pregnant or not. I'm on Ocella (Birth Control) and I was wondering do I take the pill even though I have an irregular period?
