137025 tn?1217768341 gov/dm/pubs/insulinresistance/ I tookk a continuing ed course on diabetes and learned enough to put me to sleep, as I wasn't as interested in it at the time! My grandmother was a type 2 diabetes (adult onset) but no one else in my family has developed it.
Avatar n tn Another 10 to 12 million people suffer from Type 2 (adult onset) diabetes where the pancreas fails to produce enough insulin. Type 2 diabetes is a 'different' disease with symptoms and complications that are similar to Type 1 diabetes. Type 2 diabetics can sometimes control their disease with diet alone or with the help of oral medications.
Avatar f tn If your DI clears up that will be a good sign that you are regaining hormones. Good for you for pushing for that MRI!
181575 tn?1250202386 I am reposting articles / summaries on the treatment management of chronic HepB. "cajim" located these articles which are quite informative. I thought about putting them on a seaprate Health Page but didn't think it was appropriate since we didn't write them. Let's make this a sort of "Unofficial Research Thread" or "URT" for this type of information. Let's keep this URT free of comments.
Avatar n tn You really need to be under the care of an endo - a good one (and there are a lot of bad ones out there) and maybe even a neuro-endo - so go find a larger hospital or university center so that you can get a proper doctor who can manage and test you for all the hormones that may be off. Some people may only need cortef - some need florinef and some need DHEA as well. I take all that and salt too - and the thyroid etc etc etc. I have to travel to a doctor.
Avatar f tn Armour Thyroid tablets should be used with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease and it may increase the symptoms of diabetes, mellitus, diabetes inspidus or adrenal insufficiency".
Avatar n tn I am very symptomatic and ive gone through round after round of 1900mg's a day of amoxicilin which help a slight odor but the wetness is still there. The antiobiotics only help for about 2 months then back to the same stuff So if you have a history of diabetes mellitus; liver disease; history of stroke; history of cancer; or bed sores your more likely for the bacteria Strep B to show itself because those things mainly effect immune system.
Avatar n tn once you are exposed, the smell does not disappear once you leave the area. For both me and my co-worker, it can remain in your system for up to 2 days before it completely disappears. Of course if you are continually exposed on a daily basis, you get no relief. It took me almost a year to figure this out. I hope that this information is helpful.
