I looked at my daughters kindle today and noticed in historic searches various searches for bums and willys !
She noticed and straight away days she hadn't done anything and was sorry. She stays with her daddy and his partners 10 year old son and at first I assumed the 10 year old had accessed her kindle. But her response made alarm bells ring. After many tears she confessed that she had tried to search site and says she looked at naughty pictures.
There is a difference between real Kindles and other e-readers, including the Kindle for iPad and iPhone. The kindle is not back lit. There is no light source coming from inside to illuminate the text.
This may or may not be a good thing. It depends on the individual. It can make reading easier on your eyes, but it means reading in low light environments can be difficult.
Another Kindle feature is the built in Whispernet. It's Amazon's proprietary wi-fi network.

I understand that using a computer can be hard on the eyes especially the retina. I use a laptop and I'm not sure how bad that is for the eyes. I'm thinking of getting a Kindle for reading and would like to know if it is safe for the retina and the eyes in general for lots of reading? Also, what about my laptop?
I am noticing when ever I read the Bible, I just pick it up and what ever page it opens to I read and it is always 100 % what I needed to read most. Yesterday I opened to Matthew 6:24..about anxiety...just what I needed to read and made me feel as if 500 pounds was truely lifted of my shoulders..I felt calmer than I have in a long time. I actually felt the Holy Spirit, move through me. What a amazing thing.
I notice it happens every single time..
