I get home an hour later they call me saying they say a shadow on/around the heart..probably blockage. They immediately phone in Nitrostat, and 25 mg of Metorpolol. This has me on high alert. I went 9 minutes on the stress test with no pain what so ever. I am 40lbs overweight, fairly active, and female, I eat pretty healthy, but my family history has a lot of heart failure. I see the doctor next week. Before I go I am to fitted with a heart monitor halter for 24 hours.
Iv had these browny coloured patches under my eyes for a couple days now , does any1 else get this and does any1 know what it is ?
I noticed my morning and everyday sickness get worse when I ride in cars or go on the bus. I literally have to get off just to yack. I wonder would those motion sickness patches work? Those kinds for seasickness? Man they need to make morning sickness patches, I would buy that!
I just have been reading questions on how to get off of the patches, I have severe lower back pain and was on morphine last year but also have uc and the morphine was terrible on my stomach. Anyways Is there anyway to get off the patches slowly without severe withdrawals? I take 75mcg, all the answers I read were from 2011-2010 ect.. Has anyone found any new info or way to do it? Thanks you for any advice.
5 mg Norvasc daily and 50mg metoprolol twice a day. (and 0.4 mg nitrostat as needed) But they have had no impact at all on the frequency of chest pains or exercise intolerance.
I am not Diabetic... my Gastroparesis is believed to be from either Autonomic Neuropathy or Mitochondrial Disease.

I was diagnosed with MVP about 30 years ago. I have angina from time to time, usually when I'm at rest and I carry nitrostat with me in case the angina becomes unbearable. - MVP is very common and I only had a bad episode once when I thought a heart attack was imminent. Turned out to be an anxiety attack. However, people who have anxiety attacks frequently should be monitored by a cardiologist. At present, I see my cardiologist once a year for a check up or nuclear test.
Mostly when I lay down at night or do anything (walking, stairs,etc) right after a meal. Some shortness of breath also. I have started using the Nitrostat again but I am really depressed to think that the old symptoms can come again with all the work I've done to keep them away. I will use the NG until I get up to the "3 limit" before going back to Dr. I had 2 surgeries in 07 and that only makes this more depressing.
The cardio had also given me an rx for 25 mg metroprolol 2x daily and nitrostat. (this on top of my 30mg benazepril). But my resting pulse rate is typically 47-55, so how low would the metro send it? The cardio said try it as an "experiment." He seems to be continuing to interpret my throat tightening as angina. The throat tightening is a sensation of not being able to physically get enough air across my throat.
They did send me home with a daily dose of aspirin and some nitrostat which makes me think they know something else is going on other than or along with anxiety. I was well hydrated, fed and my blood pressure meds have never caused my BP to get too low. I agree with you on the test results, but I have had a couple people I know tell me that hey didn't find any blockage with similar tests until they had an angiogram.
I got a spray tan almost two weeks ago for my wedding. I'm noticing dark brown patches?? Is this from pregnancy? I don't see how the spray tan would randomly fade in separate areas??
t really source my symptoms to anything really. It looks like ringworm patches but not really. Well, I will try to describe them the best I can.
I first started to get these patches when I was 14. They start out as a light rosy red ring on the outside and a darker patch in the middle. It eventually turns all brown and just stays that way. My first patch was 6 inches left of my belly button. Another one sprouted next to it. Then one sprouted 8 inches above my belly button.
I sometimes get these red patches that show up on random spots on my skin and then fade away, is it a vitamin deficiency?

You have noted these red patches to occur immediately after showering. How would you describe these patches? Are they flat or elevated, do they itch? Any associated scaling?
This may be a fungal infection or an allergic reaction. Sometimes, the skin may react to temperatures and this may be true in your case. Extreme hot and cold temperatures may cause red elevated patches or rash on the skin which may spontaneously resolve. However recently, you have noted the presence of itchiness.
